Very compact and does the job beautifully

This is quite nifty. It is smaller than I expected, very compact. It is well made and works perfectly. It is easy to use once you know what you are doing. The beam is easily visible. It comes with a durable carrying case. The only problem with this is the instructions. It is obviously poorly translated, probably from Chinese. If you are good at puzzles, you should be able to figure it out, more or less. For some of the more advanced functions, like calibration, some trial and error might be necessary since the instructions are cryptic.(I was able to check the calibration and it was dead on, within a fraction of a millimeter; the stated accuracy is plus or minus two millimeters.) Of course, you can always get customer support, so there is hope. Be sure to take a look at the Tacklife S2-100. Not only will it go out to 328ft, but it will measure angles with an internal sensor and there is a mode where you can measure on the slant and it will automatically compute the horizontal distance and elevation! That is very impressive for such an inexpensive device. That is next on my list!

Pleasantly surprised.

I have to say this item looks great. Build quality seems solid and good to touch. Has a rugged color scheme. Measures in meters, inches and foot. I was surprised on the level of detail the instructional booklet had and to have support for multiple languages too. Though it may not impress seasoned professionals, everyday DIY people like me would probably like it. I do, and I don’t usually post pictures of items I buy unless it impresses me. So pictures are attached for this item.

Great Device

I purchased this Laser Measure to assist in reducing the time when measuring hard to reach spaces as I undertook my personal kitchen cupboards project. I have to say, it is working better than I expected. I am most comfortable with working with feet and inches and so I set the device on feet and inches. what is most amazing about this device is that it measures to the closest 1/16 of an inch. I checked it back with my conventional tape measure and its perfect. Of course, you will still need your conventional tape measure to actually measure the object for cutting after acquiring the measurement of the space you are working with. The device also stores up to 4 measurement on the screen and has various other multi measurement functions.. a great purchase for the price.

Minor Learning Curve - Huge Time Saver - Great Gift

Do take a minute to read instructions for how to set for feet, inches (or combo) etc and practice on one small house before heading out to use in front of anyone and it's fine. Took about 3-5 minutes to get the hang of the rythem to pushing the button twice. I turned off the obnoxious beep noise - sounds unprofessional (easy to find in instructions). Helpful for room sizes while home shopping. Super nice in a couple awkward closets - actually less intrusive than a tape measure (once beeps are turned off). Had to buy a second one when a client looked like a kicked puppy when I tried to take it back lol. GREAT gift for your DIY friends.

Great tool for a great price!

Everything I needed and more! I'm in real estate, so measuring is essential. This little thing does all the leg work for you. I also used it to measure the distance between two trees (130 ft) for a zip line. Great tool for a great price!

Great unit, highly recommend....

Great unit Don't waste your money on overpriced Bosch and high end units. This Tacklife unit is one of the best that I found and works great! I'm a professional painter and use this unit daily. Love how it does the square footage for me and will save it so I can blow through a house in short order. Great unit, well built, priced right!

Works great.

It's light which is good. Only minor issue was that the screen got a scratch so sometimes I have to look more intently to read the numbers. As such I'd recommend getting a screen protector for it; insert a cut cellphone screen protector. My previous range finder is one of the more expensive Bosch models. This far cheaper item is just as good.

Well worth the investment

I gave this to my daughter for work. It measures out to 80 meters (actually to many scales from metric to feet down to the hundredth of a foot) combine this with the AdirPro 708-01 it will measure accurately down to 1/16 of a inch out to 80 meters and it will do volume, height and distance and calculations automatically. I will be buying another Laser shortly..

Love it!

Very easy to use, fits in hand nicely and measurements have been dead on so far. My only complaint or concern is the ability to read fraction displayed on measurement. The other displayed measurements are easy to read but when fractions are displayed, it is difficult to make out exactly what the reading is, which is disappointing. Instruction booklet is small and hard to read for us older folks but that's not unusual these days. Over all, I am pleased with the purchase and would recommend

and this is the perfect tool to take quick

I work as a camera assistant in film, and this is the perfect tool to take quick, and with the mute button; quiet measurements for pulling focus. All my colleagues are paying over 200 bucks for what they think is the cheapest option, and I'm blowing their minds that this thing is like 50 bucks. Works well, no problems so far.
