There's a vaulted ceiling with 2x6 rafters above our shower...thus no clearance for an insulation contact can fixture. We were so happy to find this clever product. It's the perfect solution, and it was easy to install. The LED light is the perfect color temperature...not too blue and not too orange.

Great lights for under our soffit on our back patio. Easy to install from the ground once wiring was run through the attic. I highly suggest using a dimmer with these in order to take full advantage of the technology. See pics with both full on and dimmed down. The electrical boxes included for wiring (enclosing the drivers) are pretty sturdy and I was able to hook up three sets of wires into one using the IDEAL push in connectors. Wire nuts were too bulky to fit all three sets of wires. The boxes prevented me from having to install full-on electrical boxes or cans at each light... which is exactly what I wanted to avoid. I considered buying cheaper versions of these, but am glad I went with the Lithonia brand from Acuity. Better warranty and I knew the manufacturer would be around if I had any issues.

For new construction or retrofitting this light fixture is hands down a top choice. Be sure to follow the hole cutting dimension for a proper fit. The amount of light this light fixture gives off is the equivalent to a 100 watt light bulb, and at only 10% f the energy consumption! For the DIY'ers this fixture is a breeze to install and my Electrician now hates me because I bought four of these units from Amazon, for the same price he wanted me to pay for two of them from him!

I am very satisfied with these LED lights; I used 3 for a minor laundry room renovation, and am very happy with the results. The quality of the light is good, they are very good looking when installed, and they throw off more light than expected. The wiring was easy, and they are higher quality than some of the less expensive off-brand counterparts. I haven't yet tested them with a dimmer, however. I was a little surprised by how warm they got while operating, but not so warm as to be concerning.

Excellent lighting. I was very happy with these lights after installing them in a room with vaulted ceilings that is otherwise very dark. They were much brighter than expected so I installed a 3-way dimmer switch to go along with them. I did not experience any flickering or problems with the lights or dimmer. Wiring was very easy and I appreciated the included push-in wire nuts.

Great lights and easy to install. I put these on a standard dimmer (compatible with LED/CFL) and have not noticed any flickering, and dim very well. The 3000K color is very soft, and these lights spread a very wide beam. FYI - A 4" hole is too small for the 4" model. Use a 4-1/8" or 4-1/4" hole saw. I installed these in my lath and plaster ceiling and used a 4-1/4" hole saw, which worked great.

Excellent light. Exactly what I needed. The spring clamps work beautifully on a ceiling the traditional retrofit would not. I also liked the ability to hook up the electrical with the light itself detached so it wasn’t hanging down while I was working with my wiring. I’ll be using this light for all of my recessed lighting needs. I’m really pleased!

My kitchen ceiling looks awesome! I'm really happy with the way this product looks. My dad and I took out four '70's fluorescent T12 fixtures and put in these recess LED's. My dad (retired electrician) never worked with these before.. so easy. He was amazed at how far "recess cans" have evolved. I watched a video online on how to install these. We were in disbelief of how simple it was. My dad liked them so much, he wants to put them in his house now. We installed 2 sets on dimmer switches (2 above the sink area & 4 in the main ceiling recess) and no buzzing! Make sure you buy a good quality dimmer switch. It's no longer necessary to tear apart your entire ceiling to mount giant "recess cans" to achieve great, updated lighting! I was having nightmares about what we were going to have to tear into to get recess lights in my ceiling. So so glad I found this product!

This product is well engineered and is relatively easy to install. There are push-ins for wire connections. I was using 12-2 and the wires fit snugly. You can look at the side of the clear plastic connector to make sure your wire is seated properly. Plenty of room inside the box to daisy chain these fixtures. A hole template is provided. The spring clamps are ingenious and firmly clamp the light in place. My install was in a drop ceiling. I got 4- 4" lights rated at 3000k for a warm incandescent look. The room is 15x15' and it is now very bright. I'm thinking for coverage 80-100 sq ft per light.

The lights are fantastic and bright - I would buy again. They have a slight oval shape around the frame but create a great flush against the ceiling. My lutron CL dimmer works awesome with these LEDs - It was my first recessed DIY project and it was super easy to install (easier if you have open joists because it’s convenient and easy to fish the romex from hole to hole) - it takes time to measure light locations but with the use of my measure app and an online resource I was able to get exact measurement and locations....I definitely recommend a hole cutting tool as it makes the job quicker and cleaner....the push-in wire connectors are great. Overall excellent lights - pricey but worth it.
