I have been considering purchasing a Dyson for a while and I finally made this purchase. I see why this company has the reputation it does for simple yet powerful and intuitive design! I am already spoiled by this machine! While it would be helpful to have a bit more instruction on assembling the hose attachments, I found assembly otherwise to be easy and intuitive with a few tries on some aspects. I love that everything I need is attached to the machine so I don’t have to go back-and-forth for parts when cleaning different areas. I love that the hose collapses into itself when attached to take up less space, and I love not having to touch the dirt to remove it. The suction is tremendous! Watch out for your smaller rugs because it will latch onto them! But, it does SUCH a great job of what it is designed to do - beautifully and powerfullly clean floors - both hardwood and carpet - leaving them much cleaner than any other brand I have tried. It is also extremely agile with the ball design - much less lifting to move it within areas. And, bonus - it’s a pretty product and color - the sunshiny looks make vacuuming a little more fun. I am impressed that the customer service number is clearly on the machine. I have not had to use it as my machine is new but my expectations are high that when I do. It will be easy to figure out how to contact the company and I can say that the instructions really encourage that. Customer service means a lot. Highly recommend this product.

Dyson puts all other vacuum cleaners to shame

After using Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2, I realized all other vacuums I had ever owned were utter crap. This vacuum sucks up dirt like a champ. It removed so much dust from my carpet that it left me wondering if previous cleaners had just been decorative, mere poseurs, deceptive noise makers that failed to perform and fulfill their purpose. Besides being THE best vacuum I've ever owned, Dyson has a really nice design and is easy to move around. It's better at reaching corners than all other vacuum cleaners I've owned and it doesn't give me as much of a backache. The canister and filter are easy to clean too. Overall just a great product, design and investment!

Fantastic!

I had the shark rotator professional, and it just wasn't doing the job. I was pretty disappointed since I paid $200 for it, but you live and learn. So I told my husband I wanted a Dyson for my birthday. It came and I'm so happy! 3 clicks to get it together and it is very easy on the eyes. Then I did a practice run over some carpet powder. It picked it up after one sweep. My shark didn't do that. I had to go over things multiple times. Very happy with this purchase and I will buy it again!

AMAZING vacuum!!

AMAZING vacuum! I have owned a Dyson vacuum before and that one lasted almost 10 years but I had noticed it wasn't picking up as well as it had in the past. This one is great! After one round of my house it was very clear my last one wasn't picking up at all! Love love love this vacuum!!!

Love it

Instructions weren't super clear as I wasn't sure after the quick-setup guide and step #4 if the hose should slide in and click back into place after i put the static tube into the dynamic flexible tube or not. Where's the parts key on page 1? Lots of people complaining it does not work on plush carpet and i saw 1 person mentioned that Dyson said it doesn't work well on plush carpet because the brush seals the head and so it gets stuck after 5 seconds of usage. I figured out that there's 2 clips on the back of the head for you to pop off the guard. Once you pop that puppy off, it works like a charm on plush carpet. This thing moves like a knife through butter, once you get it going. Love it!

If you're waffling, Just do it!

The easy turning is an added bonus

We have never been more impressed with a vacuum. The amount of dirt we've been able to pick up is outstanding. I had just vacuumed a few days before this vacuum arrived. After running it over the same floors, we had to dump the canister at least 2x's! The easy turning is an added bonus. I've had issues with edge cleaning with other vacuums. You had to pull the debris away from the wall to get the vacuum to pick it up. Not with this unit...it picked up everything near the baseboards. It is very lightweight and has a very long cord. We couldn't be more pleased with this purchase!

WOW

I just received this vacuum, so will report at a later date whether I have any durability or other issues that arise. But right now, I'm incredibly impressed with the power this thing has. I didn't realize just how inferior my previous Electrolux was to his Dyson. The pickup power of this is quite something, in my opinion. Very easy to to put together and to use. I did have some confusion about how to remove the wand part once I put everything together...just flip the little cap at the top of the handle and then push on the little lever, it will come right up (I needed to read to directions!). Works great for my carpet and my hard floors. We have two dogs and it's picking up twice the amount of hair in one sweep line compared to my older sweeper (this could be a function of old/new, but I'm confident in saying the older sweeper never had this sort of power). UPDATE: September 10, 2018: Notice one issue that I feel uncomfortable with. Detaching the handle in order to use the suction tube has me worried, as getting to where I need to use the suction causes a seeming-stressful bend right on the hose where it attaches to the handle. I'm wondering how this area of the hose will do over the course of several years. This vacuum really needs the ability to detach just the handle portion for suction to allow for high maneuverability rather than just using the entire suction tube.

Pretty awesome vacuum.

Really awesome vacuum. I have one complaint. The cord is wrapped and unwrapped manully. Although, there is a turnable piece that let's the entire cord drop that makes unwrapping easier. If I could give 4.9 stars I would. It moves across the floors so easily. I vacuumed under my dining room table and chairs and didn't have to move anything. When you get it it is in five or six pieces. Pretty easy to snap together and it doesn't feel as if it is going to break. The instructions for putting it together we're a little off. I had the put the tubes together and then attach the handle. Instructions say to put the handle on first then put the tubes together. I couldn't make that happen. It transitions easily from my carpet to stone tile floors. I just turn the brushes off with a button and keep it moving. It locks upright without no button use to unlock it. You just pull it back and it unlocks. Push power to on. Clean floors. It moves like a dream. Effortless and seamless. It is actually fun to use. I used this to replace a Hoover upright and am 100% glad I did. Bought this months ago and here to do a follow up. Still the best vacuum I have ever used. The compact design is pretty awesome. I have cleaned the filters a few times as well as figured out the whole attachment design. After cleaning the filters, let dry over night to be sure they are completely dry. I have multiple dogs that she'd a lot. To include a Husky. I vacuum almost daily and have had 0 issues with this vacuum. It still moves like a dream, cleans enough hair toake a nest for a Golden Eagle nest, and even still looks good. Side note. Buy this when it is on sale. It is pretty sweet, but no point in paying full price when you can wait a few weeks and get it on sale somewhere. I'm actually ready to trade it in at this point and buy whatever Dyson calls an upgrade.

Wonderful vacuum!

I have bought soooo many vacuums over the years. Either they clogged up, had low suction, too much suction or the motor burned out, an vacuum bags where a pain. I’ve had Kirby, Hoover, Eureka, Red Devil, Bissell and Rumba and issues with everyone of them. At this stage in life I wanted simplicity. I’ve had hard wood floors for about 10 years now as to not need to fight with a vacuum cleaner. Recently I moved and the place is carpeted. In advanced I immediately sought out to buy a good vacuum. My first thought was Dyson. I’ve researched them in the past and loved the ball feature. The ability of a vacuum to maneuver is very important, but the price was too much for me. This time I started my search for a Shark Vacuum. It Seemed to be a very nice system and affordable. I found the one that I thought was best and added to my cart. But then I thought I would check the pricing on the Dyson on Amazon. I found this one. I immediately started reading the reviews and searching YouTube for demos and reviews. Yup, I as sold. I removed the shark and added the Dyson. I love my Dyson. It had perfect suction, easy to maneuver, light weight and no bags. It’s beautiful. I haven’t even removed the little instruction tag from it so I can always feel it’s brand new. My carpet is not a thick pile rug so it moves just right on it. My rug is problem. It’s kind of shaggy and the suction is too powerful for it. I just simply use the hand tool to vacuum it. This is a excellent buy and I recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful hassle free vacuum that does the job.
