Fantastic quality product for a refurbished item
Fantastic quality product for a refurbished item. The item arrived well packaged, the router itself looks brand new and functions perfectly. Provides me with 150 Mbps+ when wireless through Comcast/Xfinity in my very rural area. Took less than 10 minutes to get it connected to my Xfinity and I didn't even have to call them to do a thing. This router basically set itself up. And for any prior reviewers hating on refurbs, you should know that refurbished items are almost always the best choice and one bad experience means nothing. Refurbished is THE WAY TO GO. :)

Will be excellent once they get it working
I have owned, setup, and maintained a dozen wifi routers of many different brands over the years. This has some really nice features that make it exceptional. The reserving the normally floating lan addresses is cool. No need to assign fixed addresses out of the floating ones. The one difficulty I have is the Internet wifi doesn't work. Support doesn't work either. I emailed about a wifi connected logged in on the map but no wifi internet and a get back questions about wired topology. So my advice if you need some thing that will work today pick another brand or model until they get this on up and running. I have another few hours to kill. And I am into pain so I will do the factory reset, stick to the defaults and who knows the next few hours may be more profitable than the last. So the reboot to factory got it fully functional. My previously fixed ip's must have put it of to the point that simply us fixing the ip was not good enough.

Working great
Works great. This is the first wireless router for me and I'm very pleased with it. Setting it up was fairly easy, but there were two problems that didn't take much to resolve. The instructions say that the genie will come up on the screen to assist setup, but it did not come up, so I did a restart with my laptop and as soon as it loaded the genie came up. So don't despair if this happens to you, just restart. The second problem was the password on the bottom of the modem/router, it was difficult to make out without a magnifier and even then I couldn't tell if what was there was the letter i, el or numeral 1, or if the "o"s were the letter or the numeral, so I played around with it using each one until it worked. At first I called for assistance, but left the phone sitting on the coffee table while I played around with trying to do it myself because the volume of the tinny music and the voice of the recorded ads were deafening even with my phone volume on low. I figured out the password before a person came to the phone. Since setup this modem/router has worked great. I turn off the power strip to all my electronics when I'm not using them, this product quickly gets back online and is much faster than my providers modem was. I used to have streaming videos interrupted to catch up due to a slow modem, but that rarely happens now.

Netgear FTW
If you're looking for a good all-in-one solution instead of fumbling around buying a DSL modem and a wireless router, this is the way to go. Not only is netgear a great model (I've been using netgear for years), this particular modem has fairly extensive features and it is fairly future proof. You won't have to get a replacement for a while as it is cable of handling gigabit connections. The wireless range is also pretty good and even though this is in one corner of the house and I'm usually in the other, I have maximum signal strength, despite the half a dozen walls and electronics between us. Don't be deterred by the price either, it is comparable to other products, and others don't include the modem/router combo.

Simple setup, better range than rental box
Used this to replace a motorola modem from comcast on lease. this has a better wifi range and it runs much cooler. was able to stream netflix in 4k on both TVs in my apartment and use my iphone to use facebook and other apps without a glitch (i have a 100mbps connection) setup was easy, once you login to the admin panel and find the firmware address and serial number you call it in a have them replace the lease box with this one, it took me a while but I was able to get it working with a few restarts, overall process took about 1 hour, delay is on comcast end. i am overall happy with the product, not issues yet only had it for a month. so far so good!

Good Range, Good Speed, and Stable - What more could you ask for?
I have three kids, each of us has multiple Wi-Fi devices and add to that we have Printers, TV's, Stereos, etc. that connect to the Internet. My old router was just getting overwhelmed. The new router has dual bands so we can spread out the connections across the bands. It has better range and has a better coverage within that range. The through-put is quite good. We had a LAN party the other day with eight of us playing online games while others were watching Netflix and streaming YouTube. It was fairly easy to set up. The auto-setup did not auto-handshake with our DSL provider but once I got past that to the real setup screen setup was very straight forward and easy. I would recommend this to anyone but especially to those who see a lot of different devices all day.

Flawless so far
I am on spectrum and bought this modem to replace a failed Motorola SB6120 that I had had for nearly 10 years. This is a 16x4 and it nearly doubles the bandwidth I had with the moto which is good news. When the spectrum came over to restore service, he left me an Arris GD1670A which is a 32x4 and with my current plan, it makes no difference, I get the same throughput both up but more importantly down since that's where the real difference is. Upon receiving the unit, I called spectrum, gave them the mac address and was online within minutes. I measured with a kill-a-watt and this unit draws 9 Watts which is not as much as the Arris (14W) but still significant for something that's on 24/7/365. I like that these refurb units come with almost no packaging. No stupid paper documentation noone reads anyway, no flyers for free lollipops if you donate an organ, no non-sense.

AT&T dsl (copper wire) customer VERY HAPPY!!!!!!!!!
I am an AT&T dsl customer (copper wire connection of 3mbps.) Really the only way I can connect to them is with the NVG510 Motorola modem they provide. I bought this NETGEAR AC1200 D6200 in the hopes of having a better internet experience. I tried to use it as a stand-alone modem-router (as it is designed), however I could not get it to connect to AT&T. I consider that just a minor inconvenience. I went forth to YouTube and found that I could set my Motorola NVG510 into BRIDGE MODE, thereby relegating it to being only a modem (that I then could connect the NETGEAR AC1200 D6200 to so I could take advantage of it's awesome features. On YouTube I found "AT&T U-Verse Motorola NVG510 Bridge Mode Setup" by rhardoon. It's a 6 and a half minute long video and not complicated. That was all I needed to get by the AT&T issue. After that it was "smooth sailing" as the NETGEAR modem's SETUP WIZARD breezed through the rest of the installation process. I am delighted with the NETGEAR AC1200 D6200 dsl modem router. Highly recommend it.

Super easy setup - imagine that!
First of all, I ordered this router yesterday and it was sitting on my doorstep at 1:00 this afternoon. That's pretty awesome. Second, I looked at a number of Netgear products and was a bit scared to order one given that many of the reviews complained about the hardware, the setup and the Netgear customer service. I'm no modem wizard and only deal with them when I have to. The crappy, weak router/modem we got through our ISP had been on the fritz for a couple of months. When I called our ISP, they said they no longer sell them, but rent them for $7/month. Um, no thank you. So, I read up and decided to go with this model because of the dual band and because it got some positive reviews. I sat down with it, quickly read through the setup guide and was expecting to spend the next couple of hours struggling with this. That tends to be how most things computers go in our house. We don't know what we're doing and have to research everything and then after many, many hours, we're able to get it working. Most of the time. This time, I kid you not, I had the damn thing connected up and with Internet access within 10 minutes of opening the box. And it's still working! Couldn't have been easier. For ease of setup alone, I give this 5 stars. Unbelievably easy to get working.

Holy hell this thing is fast. I am paying ...
Holy hell this thing is fast. I am paying for 150 MB internet speed and my wifi (which is usually slower) is running 170+ and I ran it through 7 different speed tests (Comcast, Verizon, ATT, Centurylink, etc)
