Wanted to replace the OEM radio antenna on my 2013 Tundra because I rarely listen to AM/FM radio and was tired of having to work around the stock antenna when I wash the vehicle or have to brush snow off of it. Was hoping to find something less intrusive that would work decent enough for the rare times that I actually listen to the AM/FM radio. I read tons of reviews from other antennas saying that the Toyotas are very picky about aftermarket antennas. Installed this one because it was made for the Tundra and it seems to work fine. I honestly can't give an informed review of the difference in strength compared to the OEM one due to how little I use it. I almost always listen to satellite radio or streaming music. Perfect solution for someone like me who wants something on the vehicle just in case but doesn't want to deal with the size of the original antenna.

Best short antenna for the Tundra. Way better then another Stubby I bought and better then a 13” from local car shop. I live outside of Boston and I had HD radio all around my area. With the other stubby, I would constantly switch from HD to non-HD radio to point, I just shut off HD radio. With this antenna, no issues at all. I am happy with the look of this and with the reception.

Not a bad product for the price. I did notice that it takes a little more time for the HD radio signal to be acquired that normal, but it sticks when it does come through. I have not noticed any dropout in my areas of travel and still get good signals (somewhat rural areas). I believe that the exterior could be a tad bit more refined(finished looking), but it functions well as a replacement antenna as described. It's not an end all, but if you want a low profile antenna, there are going to be a few caveats. So far, the gains outweigh the losses (for me).

Third time is the charm. I got 2 others prior and didn’t have a signal at all to very poor. This one is perfect! Looks good and have my HD stations! Don’t waste time like I did if u own a Tundra!

Vehicle: 2018 Toyota Tundra Platinum Antenna: AntennaMastsRus - 6-3/4" Bought this short antenna to replace original antenna. The original antenna would always scrape the top of my home garage door. I also park daily in downtown Seattle and the original antenna would always scrape the fixtures (pipes, beams, camera, fire alarm, etc) in the public parking garage. I was just hoping to still get any type of reception with a short antenna. Instead, the reception is better than the original antenna. From Seattle, I have driven out as far as Portland, OR and Vancouver, BC. FM HD stations are coming in clear. Still receiving AM stations. However, I rarely (if not at all) listened to AM, so I do not know if I am missing any AM stations. The real test was the underground public parking garage. With the original antenna, I would lose total reception about three levels down. Now I am able to go six levels down with OK reception. I haven't gone further down to test. I have not tested any other short antenna, but I highly recommend this antenna.

Bought this to replace the OEM wire style antenna on my 2018 Tundra. Simple to install, simply unscrew old antenna and screw this in.... I didn't want to have to remove the original every time I went through the car wash, thus possibly damaging the mount. This antenna is exactly what I needed. Solid enough to not flop around but flexible enough to bend in the car wash without damaging the mount. I also do not see any noticeable signal loss or static since replacing the original with this.

Best choice i made Fits perfectly on 2017 Toyota Tundra and Easy to install Most of my friends bought the Bullet Antenna however it got rusted or had signal issues No Signal issues on the road and I live in Houston TX

UPDATE: I purchased a 2nd antenna after my local Toyota dealer broke the first one while they had it for service, and this one works just as great, and the seller is still just as awesome to work with! ORIGINAL REVIEW: You know I was skeptical after reading the reviews, and I even contacted the seller and discussed the antenna with them. They were up-front that Toyota's are more "picky" on the antennas and the radio reception. We discussed AM lack of reception and cases where FM would do ok, and perhaps not as well, depending on distance from the transmitter--and they even recommended longer antennas that would have excellent reception and still be shorter than the factory antenna, but not nearly as short as this one. However, I really liked the appearance of the 6-3/4" antenna, and I figured for the price, it was worth a try. I will say that for me, in mountainous Idaho, I get decent FM reception with this antenna, enough so that I'm keeping it. I love the look of this antenna on my Tundra, and the reception is "good enough"! I would encourage anyone who has questions about if this would work for them in their area, to give the seller a call. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help, and will recommend other solutions if this will not be a good solution for you.

The BEST of the Short-Style Antennas! Tried several on my Tundra, best reception of the short style - (the OEM tall one will always get the best reception)

I installed the original 6 3/4" black, rubber antenna this past weekend on my 2017 Tundra. It comes in a small bag ready to be installed - just remove your existing antenna and screw this one on. It looks great - doesn't hit my garage door or flap around in the wind. I have not noticed any loss of signal strength on the FM stations that I occasionally listen to on the way to work. I haven't tried any AM stations. If you're looking for a low profile antenna, this is a good one. As with any antenna, I wouldn't recommend leaving it on if you're going into a car wash, unless it's one of the touchless ones with the hi pressure wash.
