... of these cutting toys to see which would be best. This is by far the best one and ...
I purchased three different brands of these cutting toys to see which would be best. This is by far the best one and my 2-yr old loves it too. She prefers it over the other ones. This might sound strange because all of the sets are essentially plastic and Velcro toys, but this brand had a more comfortable knife, the fruit/veggies are nearly double the size of the others and they look better. The other ones I bought were really small, the Velcro was not as “sticky” and knives were really hard to hold.

Very pleased!
Holy. Crap. If you're hesitant, BUY IT. My 9 year old and my 2 year old have been playing with these toys since they were delivered. My 2 yea old has been trying to cut all of the food I put on his plate. So I bought these to quench his thirst for food cutting/play. He is IN LOVE and so is my bigger kid! The velcro is durable and the toys stick together pretty well. Very pleased!

Great toy for pretend cooking!
Bought this for my 2.5 year old and she loves "cutting" the produce with the knife. There's a very satisfying "crunch" that the velcro makes when it's being "cut" apart, and it also requires a little bit of strength and effort, which all helps to give her that realistic sensation of actually cutting the produce. I only wish that the two cutting boards could be put together in order to create a little storage box for the knives. Otherwise, it's a fun toy for kids interested in pretend cooking, and is a great addition to a toy kitchen.

Favorite play food
This is my child's favorite play food, and we have a lot of play food. Between the wooden food, the wooden cutting food, the plastic food from various brands, etc - this basket of food is what my child loves the most. Makes a great sound when cutting with the plastic knife. Basket organizes it nicely. Great value.

Perfect for pretend cooking
My 18 month olds love cutting these fruits and veggies. And I like the variety of foods they included here. The fruits and veggies are lightweight but that doesn't bother me.

Totally Perfect
Love this! I bought my 2 kids a play kitchen and this was the perfect addition. The 2 cutting boards and 2 knifes is so brilliant. Both can play together without fighting over the toys. The basket is small enough it fit perfect into the fridge of the play kitchen I had bought.

Toddler-approved!
My almost 2-year-old loves this set. Enjoys pulling the foods apart, “feeding” them to her baby doll and stuffed animals, and putting them in pots and pans and wherever else. She also really really really loves the knives, not to cut the food with, but to hold and play with. Would have held back the knives til she’s older had I known how she’d be using them now. Hoping she learns to cut the food with them, sure that’ll happen with time and it’ll be a good skill for her. This has been a great way to teach her the names of a bunch of fruits and vegetables, and the toys themselves are really lightweight and easy to hold and play with. Also love the basket - great way to keep the food organized and to teach my toddler how to clean up (put them in the basket) when we’re done playing. Highly recommend!

Best plastic slicing food I’ve found so far...
I bought this to go with some new kitchen items for daughter this last Christmas. I was mainly looking for something of adequate quality that slices at a decent price. I didn’t really want word as it wouldn’t match the other food items. This hit the mark and I’m quite pleased with the purchase. It comes with two sets of knives and cutting boards (a pretty kiwi green and dark teal) so we can have chopping duals (fruit ninja)! The knives, in particular, are great quality, fit nicely in both children’s and adult’s hands, and are painted nicely. These fruits and veggies are made of sturdy, hard plastic. The larger, hollow pieces won’t dent or squish when pressed (or even stepped on), which is great! The food is uniformly colored and nothing fancy. I believe the actual plastic is colored, however, not painted ... which is a plus, I suppose, in that there isn’t any paint to chip or scratch off. I don’t think she really cares that the food doesn’t look exactly like the real thing. They were a little difficult for my four year old to slice with the included knives at first, but the Velcro loosened up after a few times. The basket is decent quality and is nice enough to keep around to store the pieces.

My two year old is entertained for hours with this simple and affordable toy
My two year old daughter was so interested in cutting things while she played in her kitchen. She would use her feeding spoons and forks to cut Easter eggs so I figured this would be so fitting. It is great for the value! Such good quality and super cute how it comes with a shopping basket and a set of two cutting boards and play knives. Since I received about a week ago, my daughter still plays with it every single day and enjoys naming off all the fruits and veggies. This would even be a great gift for toddlers.

Great little set
My 2 year old loves his “fruit” set. He isn’t yet coordinated enough to use the knife, but he pulls them apart with his hands and then matches the halves back up. This is a great way for him to work on matching, motor skills, and and learning the names of the foods. The cutting boards seem a bit small but the knives are so dull you don’t really need them. The Velcro has held up well so far. The pieces get tossed around regularly and have also held up.
