These are great!
I was trying to create something that worked like these do, but needed the narrow, sloped prongs that these have. I wasn't even sure what search words to use to find a product like this, so I'm thrilled that I ran across these here on Amazon and they actually work as intended! They fit our stove knobs perfectly and don't move around at all. (I can't imagine how one reviewer had his/hers fall in their oven.) They're very simple to use, work great for the purpose and in black, you don't even notice that they're on the stove knobs. They aren't intended to be child-proof, and don't claim to be. They prevent ACCIDENTS. They're not protective knob covers or locks, and that's not what I wanted. I'm pleased with my purchase, and will recommend these to others.

Exactly what I needed!
I, as others have said, needed something to stop my not-entirely-bright dogs from turning on burners while sniffing for crumbs. Didn't need anything like the child-proofing lift-top styles or anything like that, just something to stop the knobs from turning when they didn't need to be used. Voila - thank you for creating this basic, simple, easy-to-use device that just slides into place and foils my dogs and their curious noses! My house runs on propane gas and after finding that lovely stench of rotten eggs near the floor in the entire kitchen and family room, We discovered the dogs had hit the knob. Not enough to light the flame, but enough to coat the bottom half of the rooms in some propane - after airing and fanning the stuff out of the house I immediately came to Amazon, because like Google, Amazon can solve anything :) And along with these creators, it did!

Great simple solution that is well worth the $
We turned around and our Grandson who is learning to walk by pushing a chair around successfully turned on the burner, not good. This product is a dirt simple solution that in our application worked great. Considering all of the things that could possibly go wrong needing to pull out this little gadget is no big deal. Just make sure you don't shove them all the way down as all you are doing is pushing out the knob. Just install them like the picture and you will have no problems. Have a great day, Jeff

Great product! Stops my Golden from turning on the gas!
I ordered these based on other reviews for our new gas stove. Our Golden Retriever likes to check out what is on the counter or stove. She has burned herself twice, on our old ceramic cooktop. We thought the steel locking knobs on the gas stove were enough to keep Goldie from getting into trouble. Well, I ordered these after Goldie to pushed and turned the gas knob just enough to turn the gas on, but NOT light the burner. Thank goodness gas has a sulphur smell, or we probably would be up in smoke. These Stove Stoppaz's work like a charm!! They are easy to install, hard enough to pull out that a small child would not be able to pull it out, and they completely stop the ability to accidentally turn on the gas or light a burner. The price is reasonably, and they are not an eye sore on our stove.

These are perfect! Exactly what I was hoping for!
I have an LG range which should have been recalled a long time ago because there is almost no resistance when you push down on the stove knobs. As often as not I smell gas after leaning across the range to adjust the controls on the back panel, or to use the microwave. Or worse, the knobs turn to "light" and burners ignite - while I'm leaning across them, which creates a terrible safety hazard, especially if you have long hair, or you're wearing loose-hanging clothes. LG did not respond to my complaint or do anything about this problem, and there are many complaints about it on the Consumer Product Safety Commission website. LG doesn't seem to care. I fabricated some wooden shims to slide behind the knobs, but they looked unsightly. I didn't know such a product as this even existed. So when I saw them, I jumped on the chance to buy them - and they are wonderful! I can't possibly accidentally turn the knobs by leaning over them now. And the black ones look pretty sharp on my stainless steel control panel, too. I highly recommend this product!

Blends in Beautifully and Works great!!
I had purchased a new Samsung gas range and even with the slightest brush against the knobs they would turn on. This had almost resulted in several fires and I was convinced the knobs must be under a recall. They weren't! So I needed another solution. I had just remolded my kitchen and I didn't want something that would look like I was running a daycare when people looked at my kitchen. These blend perfectly, are VERY SIMPLE to take on and off quickly and do exactly what they are intended to do. The knobs don't turn!! I have a daughter that is older now but I honestly think even when she younger she wouldn't have been able to easily take these off before I noticed she was playing with the stove.

Works great for animals and accidents but I'm not so sure about kids.
I bought 2 sets of these stove knob stoppers and I'm impressed. I've tried getting the ones with the plastic lid covers on them but the knobs on my stove are too big and don't fit. These are simple and as advertised are universal, one size fits all. I only have a 1/8 inch gap between the knob and the stove and these tapered pins slide the knob outward to fit snug and prevent the knobs from being pushed in and turning on the gas. The downside is that they're bright red and to a little kid it might look like a toy and actually drawing a kid to the knob. They can be removed very easily and the kids curiosity might go on from there. The other ones that you can buy with the flip open plastic covers aren't much better because it's only a matter of time before the kid learns how to pop it and then there's nothing to stop the knob from being pushed in and turned on. So as far as kids go the choice is yours. I have them because I have animals running around in my house and these give me a great relief knowing that they can't kick on the gas while I'm asleep or away from the crib. My only complaint is the bright red color, they stand out like a fresh juicy zit on the forehead of a pretty girl. Sort of like a dorky Christmas decoration for the stove. If they were in black they would be more appealing to adults and less appealing to children.

Large stove top knob owners rejoice!!!!
Finally something that works! I have the LG LDG4315. The Safety 1st brand are too small for the LG knobs. I kept accidentally turning on the range while bumping into it. These are a literal life saver. You must have a gap for these to work. Just stick them in far enough to fit and you're good.

My home feels safe again with these stove knob locks
We have a gas stove. Over the many years we’ve lived in our current home, I've occasionally bumped one of the burner knobs and accidentally turned the gas on, but have always noticed it quickly and turned it off; until last week. I was rushing out to work one morning and apparently bumped one of the knobs as I grabbed my things off the kitchen counter, slightly turning the gas on. It was on all day. When I came home and opened the door that evening, I was mortified that the house reeked of gas! One spark and my house could have blown up. My dogs were in the house, too! Thankfully, the gas rose towards the ceiling and wasn't yet low enough to the ground to affect my short-legged pups. I was panicked as I ran around opening windows and doors, and turning on fans to dissipate the gas. It hit me hard that I could have lost everything -- and I mean EVERYTHING -- because of a simple mistake. I spent the next 24 hours researching safety knobs and even new gas stoves with safety features that would prevent this from happening again and found these. After reading the reviews, I figured I'd give them a try. These are much easier to remove than the full knob safety covers, and they definitely do the job! I can see where they may not work for some stoves with fancy knobs, but they are fine for stoves with "standard" knobs like my basic GE model. Be sure to tug on your stove knobs a bit to see if they come off easily, because if they do, these likely won't work for you (you might also simply need to replace your knobs if they pull off easily -- they may be worn and cracked at the base). Other reviewers said these caused their stove knobs to fall off, and I could see why if they are already loose when pulling on them. If you need to give your stove knobs a good yank to pull them off, these safety clips should work fine for you. I'm including pictures so others can see how they look. I wouldn't ever use these for child-proofing, as they would be way too easy for a child to remove, but they are perfect for pet owners whose pets jump on the counters, as well as for everyday people like me who accidently bump the knobs. The price for these is much cheaper than losing everything, including your pets, due to a clumsy mistake.

I opted to purchase these rather than the knob protectors as the reviews weren't great for those
This are exactly what I needed. We just moved in to a new home with a gas stove. I have never had one before and I was shocked when we accidentally left a burner on. Someone just walked by the stove and it was able to come on! I couldn't believe it. I have older children that are home alone and I was really worried about this while I wasn't home. I opted to purchase these rather than the knob protectors as the reviews weren't great for those. These little clips were perfect! The slip on very easily and now our stove is not able to ignite just by being bumped. you simply pull them off as you need to cook. I have also run the oven while they were still in place and there was no melting. I'm so happy with this purchase and this product.
