Expensive but worth it. I just installed the U by Moen system in my Master Bath Remodel and I love the product. It was an easy DIY installation and has worked flawlessly so far. I connected the two outlets to a showerhead and body sprays. The unit is accessible for service or replacement by removing the mirror from an adjacent bathroom. Love having saved settings for me vs. my wife, and love the ability to tell Alexa to start my shower. Life is good.

Easy to install, super easy to receive wright temperatur. Hop fly gone Las long whit any trouble.

arrived fast as described

I had the Old Moen System that came with my house. No Idea on the Age, but One of my Ports stopped working. I replaced that System with this System. I used PEX & Sharkbite Connectors. The Top hooked up to the 1/2 Inch Sharkbite Connectors that were on my Old System as it was installed with Pex for the Old System as the 4 Valves on top Do Not Line up Exactly the Same way. This New System is much shorter From Top to Bottom so you will have Room to Retrofit if they had Not used Pex, you'll just need a lot more Pex & Connectors. The Bottom is 3/4 I used this with the U by Moen Controller that I purchased as a Separate Item. So far the System has been working Great.

For those of you that have finished walls on both sides of the shower, either create an access panel or you'll have to tear out a large portion of my finished wall to replace this controller should it go bad. When I installed it i also put in a nice trap door to get access to power cable, controller cable, and the filters. Other than that, this system has been rock solid for me and only once or twice has the internet connected feature (time sync mostly) been down since i've owned it.

Finally, a shower that thinks for itself! Not terribly easy to install, but well worth it, especially the hand shower and body sprays. Time for a shower...

This may get updated, since my shower isn't complete. By day I work for an aerospace contractor, by night I'm a rogue home improvement fanatic. When it turned out my shower needed a complete overhaul, I stumbled across this and decided to go for it. I've learned a couple of things. 1) Don't trust that your contractor used standard framing around the shower. The valve is designed to fit between standard 16 on center framing, but that wasn't what I had in my shower wall. 2) You *must* have an access panel on the opposite side of the shower. I was lucky, and my shower wall is shared with the toilet closet. If it wasn't I'd have had to return this. 3) I was also lucky in that I could get a favor from one of the facilities guys at work to run the electrical. I first called an electrician and he quoted me $933 to run the electrical. It took an hour. It would have cost me - paying retail - $30 for the supplies. That means the electrician wanted $900 an hour for labor. For that price I expect dinner and flowers along with the electrical. 4) Something I found out after I'd done something I couldn't undo - the installation video shows standard PEX adapters sweated onto the brass fittings - they're wrong. Use the Sharkbite brand push-on fittings. That way you avoid a problem I had when the retaining ring wouldn't fit over the PEX adapter. After I had it installed I saw a review video that used the Sharkbite fittings, and they clearly didn't have the problem I did. The reason I saw I may update this review after installation is something I ran into while testing. Once I had power connected, I hooked up the control panel and ran through the initial setup. It wouldn't connect to my phone using the Moen app, and that's required to get the full feature set of the shower. Moen support was helpful, but their hours of operation are limited and I had to hang up and go to work before we got the problem fixed. I'm taking 2 weeks vacation starting in a couple of days to get the shower finished, and I'll be able to stay on the phone with them as long as it takes. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Update after completion: I borrowed an iPhone, which went through the setup without a hitch, and the app on my Android recognized the controller - once. However the controller is working as it should, and I'm happy with it, although I will spend some time on the phone with Moen's technical support to at least try getting my phone to recognize it. Updated again: After three app updates, and a firmware update on the controller, the glitches with Android are resolved (no borrowing an iPhone to set it up), the glitches with "water saving mode" are resolved, and I'm very impressed by Moen's customer service. They stuck with the problem until it was fixed, and they contacted me several times in the process to assure me it was being done, and contacted me again when it was fixed. My shower has worked flawlessly for months.
