PSA: do not stare into COB lights if you value your vision. I knew in advance this used a LiPoly battery. I don't expect it to survive beyond 300 recharges. I would have preferred user replaceable rechargeable batteries. (Even better if it would adapt to the Nickel Zinc 1.6 volt rechargeables). I bought this "bike" light to affix to my backpack to replace the El Wire I had snaked through the Molle. Zip ties secure it to the webbing without obscurring much light. The Red alternating Blue light drew me to this one in particular. A moments thought, "that's an emergency vehicle ahead," might afford me a little more attention than another lighting scheme. For delightful overkill I also purchased a bluetooth controlled, programmable 5050 chase LED strip. El Wire is apparently not tolerant to bending and flexing. + this will function while 'charging'. When the LiPoly fails it will not become junk. + This is unlikely to accidentally illuminate on-backpack in-car. The power toggle is a firm depression and not a swift momentary switch + I am tempted to submerge in water, but it is only warranted to resist heavy atmospheric moisture like fog + zip ties can tuck under mounting clip when laid long otherwise are too wide + A more reasonable cost/value price would be 8 - LiPoly battery (no stars detracted, known limitation) - not overly fond of mounting clip design or placement. Likely only suitable for tube attachment - strobe speed cannot be adjusted There is a less useful to me solid white light state, and a never used red SOS blinking state. Red-white-blue strobing is less sharp contrast than red-blue strobing. I am not aware of any state law restraining blinking blue, or emergency vehicle patterns on an ambulating person. I am not using this on a bike or on a bag while biking. Bring on the tickets! I will challenge the absurdity. I'm a tall built guy but neither am I an attack helicopter nor a police sedan. (Around here Highway Patrol wastes money on sports cars, then deceives citizens by making the decal visble only perpendicular to door. Yeah, when people refuse to yeild to vehicles that look more redneck than law enforcement maybe we can have Common Sense appearance like in Texas.) This ThorFire won't make you as visible as Texas law enforcement (to the horizon), but will let you be seen proximately in daytime and most assuredly in darkness. -- update -- compare to unbranded version slow china shipped for 7 monies. ThorFire is a better design in physical shape and in blinking pattern than the Glumes light. -- update 2 -- If you are interested only in red-blue blinking patterns, have no need of immediate delivery, and can tolerate an order of magnitude less bright then this 3.38 monies blinky bike light might be more appealing (here): Glumes Sport Rear Bike Light (ASIN B07GJCK33P)

+ Pros: Price. Rechargable. Feels cheap, but works extremely well. After a few months of use on my mountain bike, it is still workning smoothly. - Cons: **Recommendation: I use this on the rear of my bicycle. The impression the red-blue flashing gives to upcoming motorists is confusing enough for them to slow down and give me more than adequate room before passing. Works perfectly to keep me from being run over.

Bright and programmed with several operational modes (red only; red and blue; red, white and blue; constant white with flashing red and blue, etc.) these are attention getting safety lights good for the back of a bike or other applications. Note flashing blue light might get you into potential trouble in some places where blue is reserved for the police.

My children love this. They put it on their bike and pretend they are cops. I considered another product with a siren, but the reviews said it was very loud and with 3 kids having very loud sirens would not be good. This is just the LED lights and is exactly what they wanted. They are super bright and easy to use. It's also comforting to know that it gains attention of drivers. They will more easily see my children on their bikes. The product is easy to charge with the USB cable. No batteries to buy. It straps on the bike with rubber straps so no need to mount it permanently and it will mount on various size tubing.

These lights are exceptionally bright, easy to install and use. I purchased two units for my new walker (Drive Medical Rollator DLX) for early morning walks and late-night trips to the mailbox cluster in my condo complex. Both lights arrived about a day ahead of time and were fully charged out of the box. The instructions were a little confusing because they had not been updated for this model iteration. There are no reduced-power modes as shown in the enclosed manual, just the full-power setting (120 lumens). And also contrary to the instructions, there is no separate mounting bracket. This is a one-piece unit with two very heavy-duty rubber straps that secure it to the post. To turn on the light, depress the power button for about 2 seconds until it enters the first mode. You can then easily cycle through all seven (7) lighting configurations by pressing the on/off button for about 0.5 seconds: (1) white steady with blue/red alternating flash; (2) white steady; (3) red/blue alternating strobe [I used this mode to pull over a stolen wheelchair, ;-)]; (4) two-stage red/white/blue sequential flash, (5) red/white/blue rapid sequential flash; (6) emergency red SOS; and (7) white flashing. To turn the light off, depress the switch for 2 seconds. These lights are an excellent value and well constructed. I may purchase a couple more for spares, perhaps one for use on my new cane (Ergocane). I wholeheartedly recommend these for medical mobility equipment applications, such as walkers, canes and wheelchairs.

Works and looks great. Love the red white and blue ...merica

This light has been charging since it arrived. Seems the act of turning it on is enough to use up the charge. It's a dud ... but I really needed the rubber bands for my other lights that do work. UPDATE: Seller offered to send replacement light which arrived today with a full charge right out of the box. Works on all modes and looking forward to trying this on my ride Monday. So far, it works great and I have high hopes for this little light. UPDATE NO. 2: Appreciate seller working w/ me on this but second light has also disappointed me. Stopped even before 25 miles (1.5 hours?). Instructions indicate operating time is 6 hours. Seller states 2-4 hours depending on the mode. Would like to know which mode provides best light duration. UPDATE NO. 3: Running on a less intense setting (red flashing or red/white flashing), this light lasted a Metric Century and that was without being charged after a 30 mile ride the other day.

I ordered two of these lights. One works great 5 stars! However with the other the red light is not functioning. Only the blue and white lights work. Seems hit and miss on these. Edit: The seller contacted me and replaced the light. The new one works fine so 5 stars! I really love the light itself. It is VERY bright. Unsure how useful the red and blue light modes will be as they look like law enforcement lights. Unsure it is legal to ride with those on or not. I will use the flashing white in front and red in the rear.

This thing is bright. Not sure how long a charge will last as ive only used it once but im guessing several rides. It is secured to the bike with heavy rubber bands. Im not sure how long those will last but they seem sturdy and if they break i dont think it would be hard to find an alternative way to secure the light. The light itself is pretty cheap plastic and im not sure how it will hold up bit i think it should be ok. It has a few different light modes, light colors are red, white, and blue with different combinations of each color. A couple of the modes look like police lights and are very bright. I want to get peoples attention behind me when its dark and this light does that well.
