I didn't want to invest in another replacement, fearing that the old but otherwise completely functional fridge might not outlast the expense. I decided I could certainly make my own cubes and found the ice bin from an earlier fridge in the basement as well as some old ice trays. The bin had aged well, but the trays produced stuck cubes and were so thick I could barely twist them anyway. Ordering these trays was still a major saving over either the ice maker or a new fridge, so I was looking forward to them. And they're GREAT! They stack neatly and w/o losing contact with each other as I slowly put them in the freezer, tucked right under the old ice maker. The old bin easily holds the production of the 3 trays I use and it fits right next to the trays. Problem solved...at least till the old fridge no longer makes ice at all.

These ice trays sort of surprised me. I was expect a good tray but not as good as they turned out to be once I used them. If you don't overfill them, your ice will come out with a small bit of twist almost every time which is a big improvement over the other ice trays I've had. I also noted how they stack. Instead of the "turn one tray one way and the next the other" routine isn't used here, and that's a plus for me after countless times getting the trays turned the same way and creating a mess. I also like what they're made out of. It's flexible but not to the point of not being firm enough to be handled without very problems. The only problem I had, which wasn't a big concern as I've faced this before, is that they were a bit long for my small frig's freezer area. Anything over 11 inches causes my freezer door no to close correctly, but I get around this by trimming a very small amount of the end of each tray off and that solves the problem. Very nice product.

When i tell you these are the best cheapo ice trays I've ever used, i mean it. I have used a lot of icetrays, and most of them become brittle in a matter of weeks or months. I have had these for a long time. In an office setting they get used a lot. To this day they are not brittle, the still pop ice out with a easy twist. My 5 year old can do it that's how easy the ice comes out. If you're looking for super sheap and super good ice trays, you need to look no farther.

''Really pleased with these trays. No complaints so far. If that changes I will certainly update this. * Every ice cube comes out of the tray every single time. Exactly what I was looking for. Really pleased with these. * Not too flexible or stiff plastic either one. Easy to manipulate. Bottom of cubes are rounded, something I think contributes to them being so easy to remove. ** One tip with these is to not overfill them. If you do, you might have a harder time breaking them apart and may end up with some uneven sized cubes. If you have any questions leave them in the comments and I will be happy to answer.

I bought these ice trays to replace some from Rubbermaid. I had always been happy with the Rubbermaid ones in the past but these began to crack and split after about barely 6 months use. Also as I was beginning to find it getting more difficult to twist these trays to remove the ice; therefore, I thought that I'd try a new brand of ice tray. Kitch Easy is by far the best ice trays I've ever had. You barely need to twist the tray and the ice easily pops out a nice thick cube. I also love the sturdy way they stack together. I can easily carry 4 trays from the sink to the freezer without spilling out the water all over the floor. I'm very impressed with Kitch Easy and am anxious to see if they continue to perform as well over time. UPDATE 29 Jul 2018 Ice trays look and perform as good as the day I bought them. Just a minor tip--be sure not to overfill them. They like to stick together if you do and make them hard to get the cubes out. This is easily remedied, just leave them sit out a couple of minutes then the cubes will twist out just fine. I'm so happy I switched.

These work well if you're just starting out and need trays or you want to have extras for parties or a home bar or some such. The cubes while not massive are reasonable size and the trays flex easily with a small twist if you want to store your cubes in a plastic bag to put on injuries and sprains so with these you don't have to store the cubes in the trays themselves so you can store them out of your way when not in use and save the freezer space if you want. Packaging claims the plastic isn't toxic to humans- something you wish you could just assume but the company points it out on the wrapping anyway. Also good for freezing canned espresso to drop into your coffee later to make your own red eye at home much cheaper. You freeze the espresso in these trays-bag them and put aside until you need them- make some of your favorite coffee- drop an espresso cube in a mug or chilled glass then pour the coffee over the cube and you have an instant 'red eye' drink for a fraction of the price.

Tried a couple of different trays from other companies, including silicone trays. The silicone were much to hard to release the cubes. But - these trays are great! Super easy release and they stack well in the freezer. Bill

Oh man.... look at what I’ve become. Here i am, reviewing an ice cube tray on Amazon. Looks like I better finish my glass of bourbon before I get started- Heyyyyyyyyy so uhh.. these ice cube trays are pretty sweet man. Legit though, they’re just some good ol’ fashion ice cube trays. Did i mention they make ice!!??!? But don’t be fooled, they require a freezer to perform the freezing operation. All jokes aside, once these bad boys have the solid form of water in them, all you have to do is give them a little opposite bend from each side and voila!! Frickin ice cubes babyyyy. Perfect for people who like their drinks extra cold...because it’s ice. Yeah.

When the icemaker on my 22-year old SubZero Model 550 fridge recently died aftering shorting out its dedicated circuit breaker, I was concerned that the entire appliance was on the threshhold of failure. But no, and I hope I'm not jinxing myself here - everything else is still working as it should. So rather than spend $10,000 on replacing it (which I'd never do) or $3,000 on a decent knock-off (which I also didn't want to do), or $800 to replace the icemaker and a few other cosmetic replacements(as estimated by Authroized Repair Technician), I instead invested a few dollars on these excellent ice trays. Seriously excellent. The cubes are #1 larger than those produced by any automatic icemaker, #2 being made with Poland Springs from my kitchen water cooler instead of deplorable town water running through the fridge filter and #3 melting more slowly in my drinks thanks to their perfect size. With freezer on the bottom, I had plenty of room for all four of these, stacked two by two. The cubes release so easily, with just one quick twist, and no plastic smell, no residue, no BPA concerns, and no off-taste whatsoever from other foods. And since I still have the ice container in the freezer, very easy to store the cubes and make more, keeping it filled to my heart's content. If you have to make your own ice, these are the tools to go with.

In the past we've owned quite a few different brand ice cube trays that appeared as though they would last, as we were able to see them in a brick and mortar store. After a few months, or so, of using these other trays they would begin to break at the cube connection points and water would leak through. After spending some time searching for some ice cube trays that would last longer than a few months, we came across these Kitch Easy Release ice cube trays. We have had these Kitch ice cube trays for about 9 months, to date, and they are definitely durable and built to last the twisting that is required to break the ice apart. We typically fill each cube to just a little below the separator line and freeze. When putting a tray into the freezer we will place it below another tray, which can cause the two to freeze together. We just twist the top tray, with the ice that we'd like to use, to separate the two trays and begin to break up the ice into individual cubes. If you're in the market for ice cube trays that are built to last, then these Kitch ice cube trays are definitely a good buy. If you found this review "Helpful", please click the button below.
