Great product and customer service!!

The tripod mount seems to be ok for now. However, the Bluetooth remote arrived missing a button. Of course the missing button is the iPhone one so the remote is useless to me! Poor quality control to provide a remote missing one of two button. Update 09/25/17. I received an almost immediate reply to my original post apologizing for the Bluetooth button that I received. I came home yesterday to find a replacement button had been sent to me. I’ve never had such good customer service. It meant a lot since the tripod adapter and button are for my son who does Lego stop motion animation with his iPhone. I highly recommend buying from this seller for good product and great customer service!!

Good quality tripod mobile adaptor.

This is by far the best tripod mobile adaptor I've ever had. It's my third one, and the first two were really bad quality. The first one was just a solid piece, so I could only hold it in there in landscape mode, and while the second one could turn, it broke after a week. This one I've had for months and it's still as good as new. I use it for filming and for photography, obviously, but I also use it for Skyping with friends without having to hold my phone (which is why it's important for me to have it rotate).

What E-Commerce promised years ago...

Pros... Mind boggling delivery speed. Seriously, less than 24 hours for me. Bluetooth devise paired to my SE iPhone in less then 30 seconds. The Bluetooth shutter release preforms flawlessly in “photo”, “video”, “time lapse”, “slo-mo” and “burst” modes. The smartphone tripod adapter is what I hoped for at this price point. Solid construction with absolutely no surprises. Nice range of movement. Very easy landscape to portrait swing without removing and repositioning the smart phone. My experience with KobraTech is what e-commerce promised all consumers all those many years ago. Quick, easy, honest and without the middle man “retail brick and mortar store front” price bump. I was in retail for my whole life (over 50 years) and I tip my hat to a first class operation when I see one. Cons...The Bluetooth shutter release has a slightly "cheap plastic" feel to it. A few more pennies of plastic would have given it a much more substantial feel.

I always enjoy a simple product that gets the details right. I got this camera mount to use with an iPhone Xr and place it upon a standard camera tripod. It fully meets the need. The jaws have rubber pads to prevent bruising the phone and open enough to take the phone while it remains in its protective shell case. The bluetooth shutter button easily connected to the phone without a need to download an app. This allows for triggering the camera without touching it. it also comes in a small cardboard box you can reuse for storage. Much nicer than those cut-away plastic film shells that so many other products show up in. I recommend it. Nothing not to like.

I am quite satisfied with the KobraTech Phone Tripod adapter. I am using it with an iPhone 8 Plus on a Giotto MH-1000 ball head mounted on a small platform (perhaps also later on a Sirui K-30 & K-40 ball head on Induro CLT 203 tripod for outside use. The KobraTech is excellent, holding the iPhone securely, allowing Landscape and Portrait positions (by mounting phone toward one end, not in middle, it can be turned vertically with enough room to clear the mount’s bottom). The remote shutter release works very well (also with iPad Pro camera shutter, I find), allowing shutter release without disturbing the phone. This seems an excellent product that I am happy to have found after looking for a good phone tripod adapter. KobraTech has done well and done us a favor. Recommended.

I'm very pleased with the quality

I ordered this tripod adapter in a last minute jam. I picked it because it was the first in the list. I must say, I'm very pleased with the quality. It's a heavy gauge plastic while the holder is made of metal screws which make it quite durable. Also, the actual holder can rotate 360 degrees and lock in place. This is really nice for creating a variety of shots. Also, I really like the mounting gear. It's metal and fits nicely on some of the desktop tripods I have around the home and office. I definitely recommend this product.

Edit 2/19 - Company shipped brand new product and the new product works great. VERY impressed with the customer service. Instructions were easy to follow, product easy to use, paperwork minimal and easy to understand, company follow up has been exceptional. I just received this and tested it. The mount seems sturdy- which is important. The remote button does not work consistently though. Sometimes it works fine - sometimes it does not work, and sometimes it gets stuck and takes 80 pics in shutter mode. *Edit - company reached out to me based on my response. They offered additional apps that might work to solve the shutter mode problem. When it was determined that those would not work with my phone - they offered to send a replacement. So far I am very impressed with the customer service. If the replacement part works well, I will most definitely update to FIVE STARS!

"Diggin" It!

I am using this with a LG Aristo and dual layer holster. I had the tripod from 16 years ago, including the camera that is the same age. The cell phone camera, at this point is more sophisticated than the camera, hence, the reason for the cell phone adapter. The cell phone has voice commands to take pictures without touching anything but the blue tooth remote would work for those phones that do not - have not used it. I am using the cell phone to photograph receipts; I have found it easier than scanning documents, unless one is scanning a sequential stack.

Works Like a Charm

I almost did not purchase this item. That would have been a mistake. It turned out to be one of the handiest items in my photo arsenal. I almost did not because another reviewer was disappointed that the item was plastic and not metal. Good point. It IS plastic. But “plastic” is not necessarily a bad word. I cannot tell you how long this will last, but probably at least as long as any tripod you put on it. And for the price, I found it to be exceptionally well made. IF it fails within 6-12 months, I will update this note and say something else. But for now, it seems to be WELL made, out of apparently rugged plastic and it does EXACTLY what I want it to do. And with the use that I, and most people, will put this item to, it will probably last years. If you want something to hold you phone on a tripod or similar mount, this item is great.

WORKS GREAT and FUNCTIONAL

This tripod adapter seems very sturdy and functional. It fits my iPhone 7 PLUS even with the case still on. It is well made and doesn't feel flimsy at all. One the the nicest features is being able to rotate the phone without having to release it from the adapter. Full 360º rotation. I'll be able to made good use of this with some time-lapse photography I want to try with the iPhone. I'm also looking forward to trying this on a tripod for some night time light photography. The 2 year extended warranty is nice as well. Tells me the KobraTeck stands behind their products. I would certainly recommend this product for other Smartphone users.
