Awesome Clay Kit

Never clay bar-ed any cars before. But I really wanted to learn how to detail my car as my business is growing. This product is amazing. All the gunk and roughness on the painted surface was magically gone. Although it took me forever to finish the entire car, it was totally worth it. I followed this clay detailing kit with Car Guys Premium Liquid Wax. My car looks better than when I initially got it. Now I gotta learn how to detail the interior... I just don't know what to do lol

Not a complicated process; Effective!

I wasn't sure how big of a project this was going to actually be, since I'd never done it before. Other reviewers said expect an hour for your first time, which was close. It took me longer; my car is squat, wide and curvy. The amount of grossness the detailing spray & clay bar putty took off my just washed car was impressive. As expected, I did find blemishes from other car door dings under the crud- but that's my next step. The doors shine like mirrors again. I used ALL the spray and half the provided clay. The provided rag was perfect quality and size for this project.

Car restored to like new.

I never used clay on a car before. I have a 2010 MDX Pearl White. It is amazing how clean and restored the color is. A coat of wax over it and the car looks brand new.

Professional Results For Sure

Over the years I have tried several clay bar products. Meguiar's products never fails to amaze me and their clay bar kit is absolutely amazing. I had some pretty rough paint from my 9500 mile road trip thru Canada and Alaska last summer. I kept putting off cleaning my trucks exterior and I finally gave in. I bought this and after a good scrubbing I went to work. The spray lube really helped the clay glide across my trucks paint and it really picked up a lot of oxidation and assorted stuff that was adhering to the paint. With a little effort my paint became glass smooth. After that I used some Meguiar's rubbing compound and finished the job with some of their spray wax. Absolutely amazing results!

Great product for smoothing out impurities resting on your paint

Easy to use; you simply push the clay along the surface after spraying the Quick Detailer onto your washed car’s paint, letting any residue liquid dry. I do a section at a time, and it goes fairly quickly. Follow up by buffing it out with the microfiber cloth, but as noted in the instructions, a good coat of wax will really bring out the shine. I’ve used this product on FCA, Honda and Toyota vehicles built between 2012 and 2019, and I see a significant improvement over waxing alone. The paint on these cars is in decent shape, so it’s hard to say if it would help rejuvenate a sun-damaged or older surface. The only drawbacks are the effort sometimes needed to buff out the dried detailer; some paint issues can be more visible after the cleaning; clay can get too saturated with moisture and sticks to my fingers. Getting into the nooks and crannies can be tough, too, since the liquid tends to move quickly.

Wow!

I bought this product having never used a clay bar before. I watched a few videos about restoring shine to paint and learned of it. Let me say, I'm a firm believer in this product now. The process is simple but a bit tiring. Never realized just how big my SUV was until I used this. Lol. If your paint is dull, has water marks that never go away, or never seems clean once its dry, then this is the product for you. Just follow the instructions and top it off with a quality wax, and you won't be disappointed.

Perfect paint prep prior to waxing

I've used this clay bar before and it works perfect to remove contaminants attached to the vehicle paint to leave a smooth surface for waxing. East to use by keeping the paint surface wet with the detail spray. If you hit a dry spot and the clay sticks, just wet and go over to remove any stuck clay. It works much better than using a cleaning style wax and gives a professional job. On average, each clay bar can do a vehicle four times.

Worked great, recommend this kit

This brand of clay kit was recommended to my by a friend & it worked perfectly! Exactly one week after I purchased my new white crossover, I had parked in front of my insurance agent’s office to get my insurance taken care of & upon returning to my car, I was aghast that there were marks or scratches on my drivers side door that were not there before! When I used the clay bar & spray & cloth in this kit as directed, the marks came off super easily with no residue afterwards! Gladly they were not scratches, but were some sort of grayish marks in the shape of another car door. This is the first white vehicle I’ve ever owned, but now I have the right products to keep the paint in tip top shape! I highly recommend it to others!

Amazing product

I use McGuire's products for almost everything on my car. When I read about this product it intrigued me. I was worried it was going to be difficult to use and I was so pleasantly surprised to find out it is not. The results are magnificent. My car is a 2008 Volkswagen Eos and the picture was taken right after I finished the process. it even did a pretty good job of clearing up my foggy headlights. This is a must-have for any car lover who does their own maintenance on their cars exterior.

A great clay bar starter set

It's truly amazing now much a better finished product you have when using a clay bar. If you want a professional finish, it's worth it. The clay bar is not hard to use. Wet the surface with the spray. Use the bar. Clean. Then wax My only gripe is the spray is enough for 1.5-2 through cleanings of a mid-size car. I feel like would have been nice to get more quantity.
