This fridge sticks out the least, is actually counter depth
I recently purchased this refrigerator from Lowe's. I actually tried to shop for it on Amazon but it didn't come up when I put in the search variables. I later saw this listing. I'm glad I got it on sale from Lowe's, because otherwise I would have paid too much. Amazon has this refrigerator listed at 16 cubic feet. Hair lists this model number as 16.4 cubic feet. Amazon lists this as 27 inches deep. Haier lists it as 26.5 inches deep. The doors curve out, so on the edges it is only 26 inches deep, maybe a quarter-inch less. The width is 32.75 inches. The reason I'm sharing these is because I needed to get it into a fairly small hole and I figure other people might want the information, too. The hole I had to put this in was 33.25 inches, which was too narrow if I wanted to push it back all the way. So I had to pull the refrigerator away from the back wall so that the door wouldn't hit the cabinet. The doors are hinged so that they can fit in a small place, but even so you will need a 34-inch hole if you want to push this all the way back against the wall. I had to pull it out an inch so that it is 27 inches from the wall on the edges and 27.5 inches or so in the middle. There are a couple of things I don't just love. The bottom freezer area has drawers that are only 10 inches wide. This isn't wide enough for a frozen pizza. There is a space at the top of the drawers that could have taken a shelf so that it would hold a pizza, because each side of the freezer is 12-inches wide. I think it will be a simple matter to cut out a shelf from corrugated plastic and simply lay it atop the drawer framework (there's actually plastic there to hold it, so the drawers will still be operational). This is an easy fix, so I'm surprised the manufacturer didn't do something along these lines. The other thing I don't like so much is that there are only three shelves in the refrigerator. Only one of the shelves can be adjusted, essentially giving a choice between having the tall stuff on the bottom shelf above the vegetables or in the middle. I would very much like to have four shelves, so that two of the shelves could be fairly narrow in height, which is perfect for soda cans and just lots of stuff. As things are now I have a lot of dead space over the stuff I put in the fridge. With my configuration my shelves have a clearance of 7.75 inches, 7.25 inches, and 10.25 inches. Given that most jars and cans are only five-inches high and stuff like hamburger meat is only two-inches high, it would be really nice to have an extra shelf and less dead air space. Also, there is no ice maker, but I knew that when I ordered it. If I could have found an equally shallow refrigerator with an ice maker for the same money I would have bought it. And that's really the selling point on the fridge. It's more shallow that any other model I could find at this price point. Every other so-called "counter-depth" refrigerator stuck out an additional three or four inches. I was important for the way my kitchen is laid out not to have a giant fridge sticking out, otherwise I wouldn't be able to open the back door. So despite the things I don't like, the fact is that this refrigerator looks good, is quiet, and really does what I want it to do. I would buy it again.

Love this refrigerator!
I love it. It's the perfect size for my kitchen and I love the fact that I only need to open the quadrant that I need.

Stunning!
We never heard about HAIER before and we're a little skeptical about the purchase but are pleasantly surprised how awesot this fridge looks and works. Very sturdy inside and sleek. Setting it up was a breeze. We hadany compliments on the fridge. We approve this buy as the price for this unit was also fantastic.

Great Refrigerator for our RV
Purchased this refrigerator as a replacement for our Norcold RV Gas/Electric Refrigerator in our 5th Wheel RV. The Haier Unit fits perfect where the Norcold unit was, works great, has plenty or room and has a low amperage draw when in use.

Not a large fridge but nice if you don't have a large family.
The 2 door freezer is nice, it has 2 drawers and a shelf behind each door. The fridge is very nice.

Great value, worth the wait.
I was nervous ordering an appliance online really. It worked out great! Saved money and am happy with my purchase. You have to be patient for it to arrive, there was a bit of a delay. We really like the counter depth for our small kitchen, the draw back is there is no egg or butter compartments and no lunch meat drawer. It’s just shelves and in door storage. The drawers in the freezer are really nice And...it is so quiet!

Amazing fridge
We needed a counter depth fridge and this works excellently. It does not have handles making it even more slimline. Our small kitchen would simply not have worked without this fridge. It's size does mean you have to do things differently, you can not keep a plastic gallon of milk in the door, but we can keep a tetrapak milk carton in the door. The doors do not have room for all the condiments and bottles you'd normally keep in there so we have a plastic tote in the main fridge with all our cooking ingredients which I actually prefer now as I can pull the whole thing out and put it on the counter when I'm cooking. The freezers (left and right) hold more than you'd think and the draws are smaller and lighter than a regular freezer which makes it easy to navigate and compartmentalizes food. Fingerprints are no problem at all. I spritz with diluted white vinegar and wipe with a microfiber and it's done. See pics of what we can fit in this. We are two people who cook from scratch daily and it's fine.

Great looking, Efficient, Quiet Refrigerator.
This 4-door refrigerator is not used as my primary refrigerator. I have a good size one in the kitchen but I constantly ran out of space. I have done some research prior to this purchase. I do not need the 2nd refrigerator with water or ice dispensers. While I do not have a counter depth issue, I would like to have a shallow refrigerator. I have forgot and misplaced items in my regular refrigerator as it is quite deep. Some of the food if placed at the back would be forgotten. If I need to replace my primary refrigerator, I would look for a shallow one. This Haier meets my requirement perfectly. This refrigerator is also quite energy efficient. This replaced a small bar refrigerator that I was using and I did not see any increase of my electric bill at all. In fact, my electric bill seems to have gone down slightly. The double French door freezer works really good as there are 2 drawers and a shelf behind each door. They can be all slide out for easy access. The temperature control is at the right upper front door. It is touch control and is at eye level, easily accessible. I did not even bother to mess with the temperature and let it set at the factory setting. Since the refrigerator is working fine as is, there is no reason to adjust it. It is also very quiet, I do not even recall when I heard it running. I purchased this in July and it is performing very well. I purchased this 4-door refrigerator at Home Depot sale. Home Depot is not that cheap if not for that sale. I actually visited various stores including JCPenney to look at the real thing. I had to visit a second Home Depot to locate this refrigerator. That Salesman was really friendly and helpful, so I went back to that store and bought the refrigerator from that salesman after I measured the space at home. I also purchased a 5-year service contract because I have never used this brand before. There is couple of things that it might be of interest for those that is considering this refrigerator. I discovered that the top hinge covers were bent. They are no flat. The door operated fine. It is just that covers were not flat. I did not see that until the second day when I wiped down the whole refrigerator. I could not see that during delivery as the refrigerator is quite tall. I had to call Home Depot which given me a phone to call. It seems that Haier service are handled by GE. I explained my issue, the customer service told me that that hinge covers were back ordered. I received the replacement in about 3 weeks. They are still in one of my drawers somewhere. One of these days, when I look for things to do, I will go and replace them. I found out that Home Depot gives 10% Military Discounts. Active Servicemen, Veterans and families who have IDs can receive this. If you qualify, ask. This discount should make up for the sales tax. BTW. This is a 16.4 cu ft refrigerator not 16 cu ft as described.
