Great little camera for the price. I ordered it with the purpose of checking for ripeness of my cannabis plant for a perfect harvest, and I have no doubt that it will work just great then the time comes. It takes a little practice to get a crisp, clear image(especially at high magnification), but the results are awesome. I spent an hour with it connected to my laptop, going on a fun journey in my growbox, getting cool close-up shots and seeing everything from a different perspective. After a while you'll just want to start looking at everything, even this most innocuous objects become crazy fascinating at high magnification. The adjustment wheel is marked at "40x" at one end and "1000x" at the other, with no indication of the settings in between. The center camera column in the middle of the camera has a little bit of play in it, so turning the wheel will make the lens of the camera move horizontally when you adjust it, making you lose your image. However, all of these little flaws are pretty negligible when you consider it's 20 bucks. If you desire pinpoint accurate magnification and durable, solid construction, you may want to spend some extra money; but if you just simply wanna look at stuff up close, with no extra frills or gadgets, pick this one up!

The driver/software install for the "Jiusion 40 to 1000x Magnification Endoscope" is a breeze, and I was connected and using it within minutes from unboxing. I have used it to inspect and repair bent CPU pins on motherboards, which is a far easier task to do with this scope vs. using a magnifying glass. The built-in snapshot (screenshot capture) and quick zoom buttons work great as well. The only minor complaint I have is with the fine adjust as it is quite sensitive, so getting things in focus isn't tricky really but you do need to have a soft touch to turn the focus mechanism only very slightly. The stand is flexible and adjustable so I am able to twist, turn and angle the scope easily. Overall, I'm very pleased with the durability and ease of use of this scope especially at a very affordable price. I imagine I will find other uses for this scope, too, but for now I plan to hand make some sort of overhead contraption to retain the scope so I do not need to rely on the stand and be able to pan the camera around easily overhead what I'm working on like a motherboard.

Very surpsied by how well it zooms in amd the quality for the cheap price. BIG FYI it comes focused for up close zooming but to adjust remove the plastic flash diffuser and then zoom so that you see the lense point out. You can then screw out and in to adjust the focal distance!!! This let me put the camera like a foot away and still zoom in on motherboards to do repairs and soldering. Its an awesome camera for the price but the manual doesnt mention you can screw in and out the lense to adjust the focal distance

Ok to start with read the directions. I would have saved some time. Comes with a CD with drivers and programs for pc and phone, I don't know if it works with Apple or Mac stuff, I don't have either. I have a few tips for anyone who purchases this. First realize it has an orientation, so rotate it so top is the top of what you are viewing. That will make moving it less frustrating. You will probably find moving the object easier than moving the microscope itself. It also has a built in light source that is adjustable by a thumbwheel in the cord. The tricky part is the zoom, as you zoom in you have to adjust the distance from the object being viewed and then focus with the same ring on the microscope. That was confusing at first but once you understand that concept it is quite easy. All in all this is a great product. I will use it in my job "electronics". But I'm sure it would amuse children for hours. The pictures show the difference in distance from object vs intensity of magnification.

Far surpassed my expectations. I use it with my galaxy s7 with cameraFi2 app. Going to try other microscope specific apps but it works great. For $20 its worth every red cent. The base is a bit light so it gets a bit top heavy but ill super glue some big fender washers under it and we're good. Feels a little cheesy but what do you expect for 20 bucks. Its magnification is great tho so im super happy with it. The pic is just a paper towel. WOW!

This is an inexpensive microscope. The real ones, used in medicine, cost upwards of $300, so... TIPS: 1. The stand is meant to hold the scope while not in use. 2. The zoom button has five presets. Press the button once to cycle through them. There is no graduation for zoom. 3. The software needs to be set up properly. (size of photo, length of video, where to store shots on your computer, etc.) in settings. 4. Double-click the 'Snap' button to take a picture. 5. Focus using the thumb-wheel. 6. Replace the cap to keep dust out when not in use. This unit is awesome for the price! The pictures are of a 1878 Silver Dollar, hand held.

Really incredible little microscope for how much it is! I was between this digital microscope and a pocket microscope. My husband surprised my daughter and I and went ahead and ordered this one. I’m so glad! I love that we can all see what is under the microscope at one time. It’s simple to use. Just open the program it works with with your computer and plug it in!! Works wonderfully! We’re all out collecting things to bring back and take a closer look at. Here are some of the images we got.. a moth, spider, eyeball, and hair!

The camera is great, but the stand is terrible. Find some scrap pieces and build your own if you can. They also sell a stand for $20 if you can't. I think i did a pretty good job on the stand, i wish i could say the same for my first soldering job. :) No worries, work in progress. Once again, great microscope for $20, dont forget to take the plastic cap off the tip, and that thing on the side is focus, not zoom. You need an adjustable stand and bring the camera closer for zoom.
