Quiet +8 hours on power bank
this fan is just plain amazing. it's light weight and the frame is metal, the fan moves the air on low at a good rate. plugged it into a pocket juice 4000mah portable charger and it was still running 8 HOURS later. I would expect way less on high, but I didn't need to use high, the low did the job. I ordered another and will definitely be buying more. it's hurricane season. this unit is pretty big and it's so quiet. I mean really really quiet. if you need white noise this is not the fan for you. however if you want a quiet, well made, portable fan I would highly recommend now I know how long it lasts on a power bank I will take it to the beach, camping and picnics. too big to back pack., but would work for camping if you have a chase vehicle or take a car camping. I tried it with a 1600 cheapie dollar store power bank and it did equally as well, not quite 8 hours, but 5 plus. this is the best find in ages. I would highly recommend this fan. I hope they make a solar powered one with a power bank/battery option.

Better than expected.
I was pleasantly surprised how solid this fan feels; it seems as sturdy as some small plug-in fans. I was expecting a fairly weak computer chassis-type fan, but this is a good bit larger, and moves a decent amount of air. I have it plugged into a USB solar panel in the window by my desk, so when there's bright sun on the window, the fan is providing cooling. It is also whisper-quiet, even on high. No, it's not one of those 120V AC turbo fans, but to only need 5V max 500milliamps (the rating of a USB2.1 port, it exceeded my expectations. Plugged into a USB battery pack, it would probably work very well in a tent too. I may buy another.

These work in so many applications, they are a nice addition to RV life.
I bought two Opolar 9" USB Fans for use in our RV. We have a diesel pusher and when it is 110 degrees outside and we are traveling west, we need more air, in spite of the air conditioners. I thought these fans pushed enough air that we will be kept cool. Another reason I bought them is that there are times you cannot use your generator, so to keep cool you must use a fan. I can place the fans on the floor or on the dash, the way they are configured with such a nice stand. I have several Ah batteries that I use to charge various things and that will work beautifully with these fans. Another reason I wanted these fans is for outside use with the Ah batteries, when there is no air at all. They are great for electricity or not, if you have battery power. We have cigarette lighter USB plugs and it can work there. These are very versatile fans that are nice to have when you need them.

I was pleasantly surprised.
I was pleasantly surprised. I bought 2 of the 9" fans because of hurricane Harvey and I was worried about power outages. Turns out Harvey didn't hit us very much here in Southeast Louisiana but a transformer did blow and leave us without power for a couple hours. One of these fans on a power bank kept me cool even while working out between sets. I keep another in my kitchen for a light breeze as I'm often really hot after my shower and need the extra cooling while finishing up the dishes. Small, light, quiet, sturdy and well made.

Good high setting equal to number 2 setting on Honeywell.
Bought this to use when vandwelling/camping going to run off of a power bank/phone charger. I'm impressed there's two modes one high one low, the low setting push very little air but makes almost no noise. The high setting is comprable to the number two setting on my Honeywell 10" 120vac (pictured), and comprable to my 9" 5v Walmart fan (not pictured). All in all as a desk fan, camping fan as a emergency if you loose power I am very pleased with this purchase so far. Hope it last the 12 months that it's warranty is for.

Awesome fan!
I bought a Digoo DF-101 which is a 10" USB fan with rechargable batteries. It didnt work. Ultimately that seller refunded me and let me keep the fan, and I bought this Opolar F511 9" fan. Eventually I opened up the Digoo, bypassed the electronics board which also meant I bypassed the battery storage/ use, and got the Digoo to work. Side by side, both fans running via a USB 2a connection, the Opolar fan moves a LOT more air. Also, on a daily basis these are connected to a portable solar panel in order to move warm air in our dining room (due to Sun thru the window) into our cooler living room. The Opolar runs even when the sun is weak (low voltage supplied) whereas the Digoo requires much stronger Sun to run. On the same note, the Opolar F511 spins a LOT faster and moves a LOT more air than the Digoo, even when the Sun is strong :) The Opolar F511 is usually quiet. With full Sun, almost 9 months into ownership I hear the fan now. It's not annoying, when the TV is on I do not hear the fan. When reading a book or two peiple are talking, then I still hear it. At half power it is very quite. The Digoo is always quiet. Admittedly though, since it doesn't spin up and move as much air, this is a difficult comparison. It is quieter than the Opolar IF it was spinning at max flow ... but since it only does this when plugged into a 2a USB charger, and I have them both connected to my solar panel, AND even then it doesn't move as much air as the Opolar, it's a moot point :)

I can't hear it!
I take meds that make me feel hot. It is difficult to sleep when I feel like I am going to break out in a full body sweat. I put this little fan on the headboard and run it on low. Alas!! I can cover up so the monster in the closet can't see me and stay cool all night!! I had a different fan,,same size,,but too loud. Had to wait for my wife to fall asleep before I could use it. THIS fan is so very quiet it does not disturb my wife. It moves a lot of air too. Now I will say this fan is ten inches from my head,,,but I only use low speed. High speed is much stronger,,,and you can hear some wind noise. Not much,,and nothing like what it is replacing. But high speed is much to powerful for sleeping. Have used this for a short while. Not sure how durable it is. It appears well built,,to the point that I was surprised. I did not expect it to feel this solid. So for now I am a fan of this fan! If that changes I will update my post.

This fan is awesome. I've tried one and immediately ordered more.
This fan is awesome. I've tried one and immediately ordered more. One fan somehow died shortly after arrival and I was about to get upset but was contacted by Opolar team and got free replacement. These fans have two speeds, absolutely quiet on speed 1 and quite powerful on speed 2. 9in model is more versatile then 6in model. Again, on speed 1 it is quieter and on speed 2 gives significantly stronger output. It will definitely not be able to compete with a regular fan, but it is surprisingly good for a usb model.

I love this fan
I love this fan! I live in Puerto Rico and after Hurricane Maria my family and I have had to endure living without electricity for more than 70 days. I ordered 2 of this fans for my kids and they were able to sleep perfectly using them. It has two speeds and we use a small power bank to make it work. It works through all night! We have been using them for almost 60 days non stop and they do work wonderfully. I ended buying another one for me! I recommend it to everyone I know.

Works great, does the job!
Works Great and does what it is intended to do. Selected the metal fan because being on my computer desk means am reaching around it and didn't want plastic since sometimes they will snap at important places that makes them the next occupant of the garbage bin. It has two speeds which is handy. It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but it is working out exactly like I wanted. There isn't any walking around from vibration and throws enough breeze for a computer/desk fan. Hope to get many years of service.
