For $60 this is a deal. The lock pins for rotating the arms are difficult to release. Some other form of quick release pins would make this rack a lot easier to work with. It is a little loose in the hitch fitting, may have to weld on a washer to firm it up.

This was the lowest price one I could find that gave an overall weight bearing rating. It was more sturdy than I expected. It assembled easily with the provided tools. I love the hitch tightener. And once everything is tightened down correctly it has very little wobble. Very happy. The ONLY improvement I would suggest is to extend the top tilting yolk and give us another pair of cross pin holes to prevent as much wobble when the rack arms are in the down position. (But a bungee cord can fix this too. For the price I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this product. I really don't know what I could do to improve or change on this to justify it costing 2 to 4 times as much, like the big name bike racks.

Purchased this for a road trip and had absolutely no issues at all! It worked well, very little movement and held the bikes securely. This rack is very easy to assemble, install, and move between vehicles!

We had this installed on our SUV in less then 10 minutes. It holds 2 bikes and the drop down feature so we can access the hatch back while the bikes are still attached is very handy.

This thing is heavy duty. Did not expect it to be as heavy or as sturdy. Worth every penny! Plugged in nice to my 2014 GMC Acadia trailer hitch. Easy to store away. Wicked nice construction and tough rubber bike mounts! Very happy with this item. Functions as advertised.

At the last minute decided to bring our 2 bikes to Tahoe for 5 days on the back of the Escalade. Never had a bike rack, didn’t have one to borrow so went shopping here on Amazon. I read all the reviews good and bad and got the sense that the bad reviews came with customers who had unrealistic expectations for a $70 bike rack. I can’t think of any “ bad” things about this rack, only things to consider to enhance and secure your bikes better. First impression was that it is well made, sturdy and not too light and not too heavy. We have 1 men’s bike with the standard horizontal cross member and 1 women’s bike without that horizontal cross member. This came into play after I hung the men’s bike seated it and used the rubber straps to initially set into place....no problem. Then I lifted my wife’s bike up and as I maintained a one minute bicep curl, I realized without the horizontal bar as on the men’s bike to hang this one, I needed to get creative and secure this bike with tie down ratchet type straps to the other bike. Not the rack’s fault, just consider this when purchasing that I would have about 4 ratchet straps to consider to accomplish a secure, safe tow. I did, and this rack worked flawlessly. The rubber straps provided I would consider them as part of the solution, not the end all. I also would not over stretch the rubber tiedowns. Just pull them to stretch sufficient to clip over the stud. The bad reviews on the hitch bolt and lock nut provided vs fitment for a standard hitch pin was a non issue for me. I had no reason to remove the rack during the trip. Once the bikes were unloaded, you have full clearance to open the hatch back door with the temporay removal of a small pin that allows the rack to move forward providing access to the rear of the car. I also checked that main bolt and lock washer during the trip coming and going for any loosening and it didn’t budge. For the money......It’s a bargain. Just take note of the considerations above and it will work fine. I purchased the 3 bike rack because it was had a higher weight rating and extended bar for more room even though I only planned to haul 2 bikes. If all the above seems to troublesome consider paying about $45 bucks more for Critical Cycles Lenox Hitch Mount Tray Rack 2 bike. This style the bike’s wheels rest securely in/on trays which makes the womens bike issue a non issue

Lenox hitch mount bike rack - we have a new vehicle with a hitch and I love this bike rack....prior to this we had roof mount and it was a pain....this is fast on easy off....we do use a few bungee cords to secure - but love it.....Great price too - sturdy - 2 adult bikes.

for the money you can't beat it. No rattles, shakes etc. Very sturdy - appears well made.

I’m very pleased with this purchase. Easy to put together. No problems what so ever. I could not find a better product for this price anywhere. This is a solid piece. Totally recommend it.

Works as advertised. Holding straps seem pretty sturdy. I don't think they will tear or break if the straps are worked on to the studs instead of trying to stretch the star over. The only thing I don't like is that you must use the mounting bolt to attach the carrier to the hitch receiver, a locking pin is too large diameter.
