I'm in love!

I just received this today but am so happy with it that I decided to write an early review. I always have the frustration of my tea not staying hot long enough, so I ordered this highly rated warmer. I have had a cup of hot tea in a ceramic mug sitting on it for an hour and a half, covered with a AvecToi Set of 2 Food Grade Silicone Drink Cover, keep drinks warm & prevent bugs outdoor, FDA Approved (Black), and the tea is still hot enough to burn my mouth. I've already put both on my Christmas gift list for relatives who drink lots of coffee and hot tea, and I'll order another for the office. I recommend the drink cover for those who rated the warmer badly for it not keeping the drink hot enough; heat does escape upward, after all, but the drink cover contains it very well. I pushed down in the middle of the drink cover to tighten the seal and was able to pick up the mostly full, heavy ceramic mug with the tiny tab in the center (carefully and not far, but it still stayed attached). This combination is perfect. I agree with others who said that having a longer cord would be an improvement (it's 40 inches long), but extension cords are relatively cheap, if necessary. I don't think I'll need one. I'm very happy with my purchase.

With this heating coaster, you don't have to gulp your coffee or tea in order to finish it before it gets cold. You can curl up with a good book and sip your coffee or tea or toddy. You can use this to keep your drink indefinitely by your side at just the right temperature. One of these has provided me with reliable warmth for years. I just bought another one as the perfect Holiday gift. I'd only make one suggestion for improvement. At just a little over 3-1/2 inches in diameter, the heating surface is slightly too small to easily accommodate a couple of the glass steins I use for tea and a couple of my novelty mugs. If the surface were just half-an-inch larger, it would accommodate just about anything imaginable, without my having to carefully center the mug. But that's a minor drawback. This coaster easily works for 95% of the cups and other containers you are likely to use.

Works great! Hot coffee through the evening. And, SURPRISE!! Heated up my cold oatmeal this morning. Working and breakfast got cold. Thought I would give it a try and Bam! oatmeal ready to eat again. LOL Love this one and will be ordering for friends this Christmas. UPDATE - 5 months and it is the BEST!!! Still works beautifully. Everyone loved theirs and know they are still being used. Great Product!!

great! keeps coffee warm. My ceramic mug does not have a flat bottom either but still keeps warm. Happy I don't have to keep getting up to heat drink. Great price. I do use with silicone covers and keeps coffee hot when I use both.

Got this mug warmer about a week ago. LOVE IT! I'm an over-researcher before I buy just about anything and this had mostly great reviews and a middle of the road pricetag. I love to savor my cup of tea over the course of the afternoon, but don't like the fact that it gets lukewarm quite quickly, especially in the colder weather, hate warming it up in the microwave (don't like microwaves at all). I pour it from the teapot that is sitting on the "warm zone" on the stove and set it on the cup warmer which keeps it just the right temperature to sip at my desk. Wanted to buy one to try it out but will be buying several more soon for other rooms in the house where I might want to enjoy a cup of tea.

Love it at work

I got this around 5/12 and started using it this week. I often leave my desk at work (sometimes mid thought) and used to return to cold tea or coffee from 20 min ago, but this thing is awesome. Cord is pretty short and it has a roller-switch and a little light when its on. It warms the bottom of your mug significantly, a little too warm to touch right at the bottom so stick to the handle or the rim to hold your mug but it keeps my drink perfectly toasty. Actually, as the liquid decreases it gets warmer as there is less to heat up so the bottom half of my drink is usually warmer than it had been to start! But I switch it off usually at that point and just leave it standing on the pad. Im brave enough to have tried a thick paper cup this morning from starbucks and while i wouldn't advising walking away from it while paper is on it, while im sitting here typing it, the cup is very warm but not burning at all. All in all, Im quite satisfied! Would recommend!

A purchase of a simple pleasure!!

I rarely have a poor purchase from Amazon, and this purchase is one of my favorites! I have a bad habit of typing more than drinking sometimes in the morning and found myself sipping ice cold coffee as I sifted through the day's business. Well, no more! My warmer keeps my coffee at just the right temperature. It especially keeps the last half or last third warm enough to drink so no getting up to reheat or pour again to heat. The cord is a little short for me to comfortably reach as it is on my left side of my couch on the coffee table, and I am right handed. This is so easily fixed by a short extension cord, it is no problem. The orange light is really noticeable when on, so no forgetting about turning it off asyou walk past should you forget. This was a little, simple purchase, but a joyful one!! Life's simple pleasures!!

Want your coffee hot all day, these work great!

Ordered on 03/08/18 and received 03/11/18. I'm handicapped and like to keep a cup of hot coffee next to me. I tend to drink it slowly, so it would normally cool down before finishing it. I wanted something to keep my coffee hot rather than making several trips to the microwave to reheat it, which is hard on my back. The mug warmer works great. I turn it on and my coffee stays hot until I turn it off, which can be several hours later. I was worried that my large 10 oz "Life is Good" mugs might be too large to fit on the heating pad, but they fit no problem. We liked the warmer and it's price well enough that my husband asked me to order him one also.

quiet, quick heat, hot enough to drink

very basic, no timer, no temperature indicator but all those are luxury features that I don't need. The basic just works fine for me. I like that it is not making nose at all during operation and heat up very fast and stay hot. The LED light however is too bright and distracting but I don't mind for the price. I just cover it with a piece of black electrical tape.
