Easy setup, lots of devices connected
Bought this after buying a smart thermostat that required a strong WiFi connection. Our house is L shaped with the 75mbps WiFi setup on one end and the new thermostat on the other. My bedroom is right next to the thermostat and my phone and smart TV had trouble keeping the WiFi connection so this extender is helping with 3 to 4 different devices. So far so good. Setup was very easy and since we have both 2.4 and 5 GHz (not sure what the actual term is) it gives off 2 separate signals. Now we have three different networks with multiple devices (DirecTV, desktop computer, 6 smartphones, 2 smart TVs, Echo Dot, thermostat) connected to each, and even though they generate from the primary WiFi network, every device seems to be working much better.

Refurb for the win! (So far, so good).
Refurbished product, but looks and works like new. Our previous single band extender, being 1) inexpensive and 2) several years old with obsolete technology, couldn't support the demands we were putting on it (2 or 3 HD video streams, 7 android devices and one hardcore gamer). The Nighthawk is capable of faster speeds than the cable company-supplied router, so the only bottleneck is the distance between the router and extender, which is unavoidable. I am using the Fastlane setting to try to increase throughput, and although I have yet to do an A/B test with and without Fastlane, it appears to be a bit faster. Setup was very easy, with more settings configured automatically than our previous TP-Link router-used-as-a-range-extender. It might not be as flexible as far as options go, but the Nighthawk does what it is supposed to do, and does it well with minimal hassle. I will report back if the extender performance goes south, as some have mentioned in the reviews for the new product.

Great WIFI extender to stream movies
Home is about 1500 square ft and is essentially the shape of a square. Unfortunately router is in one corner and smart TV is diagonally across on the other corner of the house. Streaming videos works sometimes 50% of the time, other times, TV or firestick could not find the connection and i have a fast enough internet speed. When I added the extender midway between router and tv, now streaming is 90% better. I still get the occasional buffer but not as much as I use to.

Depaendable and easy set-up for those looking to extend the range of their WiFi connection.
My condo is what you’d call a “smart home”, pretty much everything is controlled via an internet connection. I was getting very frustrated with a few of my devices ( robotic vacuum and ecobee thermostat especially) as they constantly were dropping connection to my router. Hence my interest in the Netgear AC750 WiFi range extender. Since installing this range extender in my home, I have had absolutely no issues with dropped connections. I would recommend this device to anyone looking to extend the range of their WiFi connection. The connection really isn’t any faster than before but it’s certainly more reliable. It was simple to connect to my Comcast router and it’s been very dependable.

Had problems with getting a good connection on second floor of our house due to a large steel beam down middle of house between floors. Had a small Netgear extender that didn't help, but this unit did the trick. Well worth the purchase.

2 tries to setup, but works great!
Setup: I purchased a Refurbished AC1900 and tried to use the WPS setup. But the Wifi network icons did not light up after hitting the WPS button. So I called Support and they had me do a manual setup with my laptop through the EXT Wifi network. Which when setup was completed the device froze up and did not broadcast the networks. So I was instructed to do a hard reset (hold the reboot button for 1 minute. Tried manual setup again and everything worked this time. Use: Moved Extender into my garage to help get my Wifi Speakers working through my concrete patio. Workes great! I now have reliable signal in my garage, and the speakers connect right away.

Top Rated WIFI Range Extender
After a bad experience with the last wifi range extender, I bought and returned, installing the NETGEAR refurbished EX7300 Nighthawk X4 AC2200 model was a snap to install and the results were astounding. Buying the refurbished model made the price especially reasonable for a top rated product and by its visual condition, I couldn't decern any evidence of its previous use. What put it miles ahead of the Chinese junk being imported for sale is the excellent documentation and online support for installing and operation of the NETGEAR product.

Works well for console gaming, streaming, and easy WPS setup.
Purchased a refurbished unit because the place we're renting I'm pretty sure has metal in the walls or something. This eliminated most of the connectivity issues we were having with our ring doorbell. I've used it to play my PS4 online, stream from my plex server, and play my Nintendo Switch online with no issues. I also like that it registers as being within my normal network so I can stream stuff via chrome cast from my phone that's connected to the extender to the chromecast that's connected to my main router without having to switch my phone to the main router. I tried using a linksys extender I got off clearance at walmart a few weeks ago first but no luck. This device worked great first try using the WPS button set up.

Great way to add wifi to areas with low signals
I bought this to install in a detached cinder block garage that had little or no wifi signals prior to installing the AC2200 extender. I had wifi all over the yard, but when I went in the garage, there was no 5gHz signal, and little (if any) 2.4gHz signal. I received the unit and had to go thru the setup twice because it does not say to wait in-between connecting the wifi signal from the existing router to the extender. I had to reset it to factory settings and figured out there is a wait time for all of the steps in-between, however the instructions are fairly straightforward. After setting this up in the garage, there was no client light on, and realized I had to bring a phone or computer out there to connect it. Once online, the extender has been working great and I'm able to watch streaming video at a bit rate of 800kbps (according to Dish network). I thought the price for a new unit was too high and wasn't willing to spend double the cost to put this in the garage. Overall, I'm very happy and would recommend this to others.

Great wifi-extender for those on a budget
FIrst, I'm not a gamer or a teleworker that needs lightning fast internet. I need a wifi extender that will reach about 100 feet from the cable modem/router (Arris) that came from my internet provider to the rest of the house for another 100 feet. I need to connect: - 2 x iPad (for the kids YouTube habit) - 1 x iMac (for the family) - 2 x iPhone 6 (for me and the wife) - 1 x XBOX One - 1 x Apple TV box With at least 3 of the items above pulling data from the extender, I have around 60+ Mbps using speedtest.net on my iPad with a 300 Mbps internet plan. The range is all over the house and backyard through 3 walls (drywall interior and vinyl siding exterior). I also use all of my devices using the 5 GHz frequency from the extender to the device and the 2.4 GHz frequency from the extender to the modem...NETGEAR calls it "Fastlane" technology. The interface is easy to use - connect the extender to the modem using the "WPS" button and it'll synch immediately. Next, connect a device like your iPad to the extender. Then go to mywifiext.net using your browser on the iPad to configure your settings. The settings are easy to understand for a novice. The fact that it's a certified refurbished unit makes it an even better deal. The extender came in a plain brown box with plastic wrapping and cushioning sandwiching the device. I would recommend this to any of my friends, coworkers, and even my worst enemy!
