Not a perfect solution for seat pain, but the product itself is well made and stood up to first road trip.

This certainly seems to be a quality product and it gets full stars for being as advertised. Feels very sturdy and definitely not cheap or flimsy. I utilized this for a road trip after receiving, so I think I tested it appropriately before reviewing. Six hours in total. First, unlike some cushions, bravo for being a nice simple black with a fairly subtle logo. Both sides are soft, kind of like a thin suede, the top is black, and the bottom is a dark grey with the valve on that side. The logo lettering is silver. I have to agree with some of the other reviewers - it inflates perfectly adequately by itself and even though it isn't 'full' I'm always squeezing air out to get it 'almost' deflated for a more comfortable seat. I expect that it was probably inflated too much if it "burst" mid-flight for the one reviewer. Altitude apparently does that, so I wouldn't recommend "adding air". And, I can't imagine wanting to blow it up fully - just doesn't seem it would be comfortable like that? There also appears to be some sort of padding within so it's not just 'air'. I personally had no issues getting it back in the bag, but it comes with two elastic straps if you don't want to bother with it. I purchased this for flying and appreciate the self-inflating and subtle appearance. Unfortunately, a) it doesn't really help my seat pain all that much (I don't have sciatica or anything - just it seems at my age sitting for anything longer than 30 minutes hurts) and b) it is a lot big for minimalist traveling. I travel with just a personal item and this is actually fairly large - I was thinking maybe it would pass for an umbrella, but it's way too big. So, I think I'll just leave it in the car for road trips and keep looking for another solution for flying.

Perfect Cusion for the Price!!!

Excellent little full seat cusion... Made my life easier with a problem I have with my lower spine. Very hard to sit on a wood bench or chair. This at least allows me to sit for a period. Easy to dispense from the travel bag. I have COPD and was still able to inflate the cusion.. Worth every penny to me...

Fantastic product, especially for the money.

I have a back issue that manifests itself as pain in one leg. After 3 days using this pad, the condition was greatly improved. I've used similar products in the past that cost $75 or more that were not superior to this product. Since I've not had the product very long, I do not know how long it will last. Historically, the more expensive products have lasted 9-12 months.

Works as described, excellent cushion

Works as described. Many previous reviews stated it would not hold air when they tried to inflate it as the air would leak out before they could close the valve. This cushion is self inflating and is not meant to have additional air added to it. If you try to add air it becomes too hard and is not a cushion, it becomes a solid spacer and does nothing to soften the seat. When allowed to inflate on it’s on, with no extra air, it was very comfortable. You may even need to push a small amount of air out to get a softer cushion if desired. I fly often for work, and have been very pleased with the cushion. I highly recommend this item.

Very Confortable Seat Custion.

The item worked as advertised. It is very comfortable to use. You can inflate the cushion with as much air as necessary to provide the most comfort. I would strongly recommend this product.

Wonderful cushion

I purchased this to use on the chair in my sewing room and to take along when I go to quilt retreats. It is exactly what I wanted, easy to inflate, but compact for travel, and VERY comfortable. This is a great cushion and works well with several types of chairs. It inflates easily and provides comfortable seating for long periods of time.

I feel good after applying it in my car

It just is so good that I don't feel any backache at all driving my car. I works for me who has lower back problem. it really did!

Great alternative for travel

I got this for a long trip this summer, for my wheelchair. It’s not as firm as a regular wheelchair cushion, however it weighs considerably less, it’s more compact, as inflates quite easily. I squeezed the valve after inflating, while closing, to minimize air loss, and that worked well

Easy to inflate, comfortable cushion

This seat cushion inflates easily and is comfortable to sit on. It does have a little bulk to it (about 2 1/2-3 inches in diameter), but rolls up into a nice carrying sleeve that fits in the water bottle side pouch of my backpack.

A life (butt) saver for long haul air travel!

I've reached that age where I suffer from OMFB (Old Man Flat Butt). Yes, I know that if I do squats, this disease can be reversed and possibly even cured, but in the words of Murtaugh (Glover, not that Wayans guy), I'm too old for this sh*t. So, for a recent business trip cross country I sought some posterior support for my 6 - 7 hour flights. This cushion was amazing! Very little additional inflation had to be added once we were at cruising altitude, it fit perfectly on the airline seat and was easy to roll up and store in my carry-on when not being used. I was extremely comfortable and know that without the cushion I would have be barely able to tolerate sitting so long on an airplane seat. Highly recommend!
