• 50 PINT 6-GALLON LARGE DEHUMIDIFIER - If your standard unit of measure is ice cream, our dehumidifier removes up to 50 pints from the air per day. But we measure in gallons (because we’re talking about water) to make the capacity easier to comprehend. This moisture-removing beast is fit for any basement, cellar or large room, and it’s Energy Star certified, so it quickly and effectively absorbs moisture without racking up your energy bill
  • DESIGNED FOR THE MODERN HOME - That most dehumidifiers are clunky eyesores is news to nobody. We designed with the modern consumer in mind: a sleek clean look, convenient built-in wheels and handles, and a quiet fan that won’t drown out your current binge-watching obsession. Durability is key, too, which is why we offer a 2-year warranty, plus an extra 6 months if you register on our website
  • SUPER EASY TO USE - Dehumidifiers don’t need to be complicated, so ours isn’t. Adjust to your ideal moisture setting, then let it run its continuous 24-hour cycle until the tank is full, at which point it will automatically shut-off. Don’t got time for that? There’s also a drain hose outlet for continuous draining. The hose is not included; we recommend a ⅝” diameter garden hose with an internal threaded end, and optionally Teflon tape for extra security
  • ELIMINATES MOISTNESS, ODOR & OTHER THINGS YOU HATE - Moist is a bad word. Our portable dehumidifier reduces odors and allergens by removing bacteria from humid air through its built-in pump compressor. It also features a Turbo mode that increases fan speed from Normal Air CFM 165 (cubic feet per minute) to High Air CFM 188 for maximum moisture removal and odor reduction
  • IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW - Dehumidifiers emit heat when in use (that’s how they absorb the moisture). This product won’t work in the same room as an evap cooler, and is intended for spaces between 1000 and 2500 SQ FT. It measures 15.4 x 11 x 24.3 inches, has a 1.6 gallon (6 liter) water tank capacity, and removes up to 6 gallons (50 pints in beer measurements) of moisture from the air per day

Have ben using for a few weeks and it is performing flawlessly. I am pleased to see how quiet it is when it is running. Highly recommend this product and this company.

Originally I bought the 30 pint version and my basement wouldn’t go below 61% humidity. Although my basement is only about 600 sq ft total, it just couldn’t get it there. Went ahead and got the 70 pint version and it got the place down to 45% within a few hours. Within 1 day the mildew musty smell was almost completely gone. We moved the 30 pint version to the bedroom. Just as an aside, another review mentioned that the 70 pint version did not take a standard garden hose, but mine definitely does. Not sure what the issue was with theirs, but the outlet hole on the back is the same size.

I've had the unit since 8/3. Was excited to put it in use. Basement was damp and musty smelling. Putting unit on high continuous running, took just 2 days to clear the dampness and smell. I am very satisfied. Tho unit was pricey, it was better priced than many name brands. Still trying to figure out how to put it on auto timer to go off n on, so far timer turns it off but don't know how to schedule to go back on. Note, this is a 70 pint which a good size if yours has a lot of moisture to remove. I actually have a hose connected to drain out into my washer hose/tube. I would suggest if you plan on letting it free drain with a hose connector (won't need to empty the bucket) then I suggest save a few bucks and go with this company's 50 pint unit.

Working great (after only 3 weeks). If it's still OK after 2 Yrs., it will have outlasted my last 3 units (different brands). Quieter than others, but sound level doesn't change much between blower speeds. If it gathered an actual 70 pt./day, the bucket would need to be emptied 11 times every 2 days. Glad that I don't have that much moisture in my carpeted basement, where a direct drain is not available! Remember that rooms with 10 Ft. ceilings hold up to 30% more air (and water vapor) than those with regular height. Have I really found the best dehumidifier on the market?

I have only had this unit for a couple days, but was impressed enough to write a review. I'll be sure to update this if my opinion changes. I purchased this unit for our basement, because the musty smell made it almost unbearable for me to spend any time there (where my handsome, dungeon-dwelling boyfriend likes to hang out). The unit came packaged well, and was very easy to set up--remove unit from box, remove a few pieces of tape, remove the cord holder from the water receptacle, and plug in. The humidity was 64% when I first turned the unit on at about 6 am, and by 6 pm it was down to 30%. The basement smell was almost completely gone. This unit does let off some heat, but spread out over about 1000 sq feet it wasn't uncomfortable. So far, I'm really pleased with this dehumidifier, and feel that it was well worth the price I paid.

Just put in a large rec room in my basement. All knotty pine. Still need carpet. After the boys were finished and the basement cleaned there was an odd smell. Turns out that like all new construction wood and sheet rock tend to hold an exorbitant amount of moisture. In my case it literally took one year to remove it all from the first floor and that was with the installation of a central dehumidification system. For the basement I bought two of these. I have them set to constantly run, until the last two wood doors stop binding. Then I will reset to normal operation. As of this evaluation I am taking two full containers out of each one every day @ 7 am and 7 pm. They do their job, do it well and the moisture in the wood smell is almost all gone. Only one thing would have been better. The installation of a central dehumidification system in the basement. However, these certainly beat spending another $6,000. We now use the drain in the back of the unit and ran a line from that point to the mechanical room drain. Works great. We didn't use the garden hose as recommended. Went to Home depot and bought a connector that is the same size as a garden hose, 3/4 in. at one end and a 3/8 pex connection at the other (Model 801629). Used a small flexible pex pipe (Model T12004002) and ran to mechanical room drain. No unsightly garden hose.

OH my goodness. This dehumidifier looks sleek and works GREAT! It is very simple to use. The easiest setting is to just plug it in and walk away. It will pull water from the air until it's full, then it will stop until you empty the water out. Slide the drawer back in and it instantly comes back on. The drawer that holds the water comes out easily and has a handy handle (see what I did there?) ; ) to carry it with. Very sturdy. For people who want it to run continuously, there is a setting where you can use a drain hose. You can also adjust the amount of humidity you want in the air. It's a very quiet and attractive unit. For the first spring in 18 years my 120 year-old house doesn't smell musty when it rains! (sorry the last two pics are sideways...couldn't get my photos to cooperate)

The past several apartments (all 2-bedroom flats) where I've lived had inadequate bathroom ventilation. Every time I take a hot shower, the steam had nowhere to escape, and the moisture built up throughout the apartment. It caused musty smells and mildew, and I bet it wasn't too good for my health, either. I tried a cheap countertop model--Portable Dehumidifier, CRAZO 500ml Ultra-quiet Mini Room Dehumidifier, Electric Home Dehumidifier, 22w and 220ml/day, Efficient and Stable for small rooms (blue)--but as far as I could tell, that piece of junk was utterly ineffective. It pulled around 1 tablespoon of water out of the air per hour, so I returned it. I keep this humidifier in the hallway next to the bathroom. After a shower I simply roll it in, turn it on, and after about 5 minutes, the humidity is down from over 80% to under 50%. I use the AcuRite 01083M Pro Accuracy Temperature & Humidity Monitor to verify the humidity reading on the dehumidifier, and they are usually within 2% of one another. Every 4 or 5 days I empty the reservoir, which has a nice carrying handle, but when I pull the reservoir out, it tends to splash on the carpet a little. That doesn't bother me much, since it dries pretty quick once I turn the dehumidifier back on. Now the air in my apartment smells much nicer when I come home from work. I highly recommend this machine if your apartment is too humid.

I installed this unit in the crawl space under my house. The humidity was running in the low to mid 70's and it smelled musty under the house. I didn't measure my crawl space but based on the size of my 2-story house I figure there is close to 2000 sq ft with a lot of actual volume because I can stand underneath my house in some areas. I went ahead and got the 70 pint unit figuring I would get the largest available in this model. When I started the unit I set the humidity setting to 55 on the normal fan speed and the RH under the house dropped into the 60s within a couple of weeks. I went under the house a couple of weeks ago to check it out and dropped the setting to 50. The RH dropped into the 50s and tonight it is reading 50. Granted, it has cooled off considerably outside and that will help but so far, so good with lowering the RH under the house. My original concern when I started looking at installing a dehumidifier was how I was going to get the condensate out from under the house. I read another review where someone tapped into a drain under their house so that is what I did. I figured I would share a picture to help others with this. I build a stand for the dehumidifier next to one of my piers under the house and tied it into a floor joist to help with making sure it was level and get it high enough to drain into my sewer drain. I used a 5/8" forstner bit to drill a "clean" hole into the PVC and it was a perfect fit for the 5/8 hose that I attached to drain the unit. Don't stick the hose in too far because you don't want to create any obstruction in the drain... I also siliconed it for good measure. Hope this helps.

For years I had a bathroom that was plagued with black mold due to excessive humidity. The little dots would appears along the tops of the walls shortly after I'd scrubbed them or painted over them, and then bloom into larger rosettes within weeks. We tried squirting bleach at them, we scrubbed them routinely, and they went away only to appear again a few weeks later. We tried leaving the door open to let some of the humidity out, but that meant less privacy. We opened the window in the summertime, and that helped, but in the winter it was far too cold. Then I stumbled across this machine while on vacation at my sister-in-laws house and the solution was clear. I'm one of those people who obsessively research a major-ish purchase like this before I buy it. I don't like dropping cash on something that later turns out to be a dud, so I read reviews and comparisons and went and looked a few items in stores. Finally, I bought this machine and it's terrific. It works effectively and is easy to use. I empty it about once/week and clean the filter on average once/month. I'm very satisfied - if you're looking for a good, quality dehumidifier with great customer support look no further. UPDATE 2/10/19: My original unit stopped working after a few months so I reached out to HOmelabs and they substituted it for free. The replacement has been chugging away for nearly a year now without any issues - faithfully sucking the moisture out of the air and drying out my steamy bathroom. Best of all - ZERO black mold. Love this unit and would highly recommend both the appliance and the brand.
