Works exactly as expected! Beautiful opaque black color

I needed to darken some brown wood putty for a custom redwood shelf and this product worked perfectly. The end result was a crisp black, required only a few drops and the putty still accepted sanding and finishing with no changes from the pigment. I'll buy more when needed. A great idea for the manufacturer would be to have clear section on the bottle so that you could tell when to order more.

I was surprised as to how little of this stuff is needed to turn clear epoxy into totally opaque black epoxy. Good product, no apparent effect on the strength of the epoxy. Essentially, just a dye. Great!

I wanted a little bit of black epoxy but buying it premixed was expensive and way more than I needed. This pigment has great coverage, one small drop was more than enough for each batch I mixed. I would definitely recommend.

I had a crack that was 7” long and 1/4” wide on my black granite countertop right in front of the sink. It had been there for a few years and I finally decided to repair it to get a few more years out of the countertop. After research, it seemed the best path was to use a two-part clear epoxy with pigment. Two drops of the black pigment turned about 2 -3 oz. of the clear epoxy jet black. It cured as if it was solid piece of black plastic. It did have a glossy finish so keep that in mind. For me, it did not matter because I needed to smooth the repair and repolish the countertop. Once I ground down the epoxy it was no longer glossy but untouched it’s glossy. I don’t know if my epoxy cured glossy or if was the pigment. Anyway this stuff works well and will go a relatively long way for small epoxy jobs.

I'm new to epoxy pigments so I wanted something easy to use. I used black diamond the first time and this the 2nd. I'll use this from now on because of the no messy spoon or anything to clean up or keep clean.

1 drop in my 5oz cup of clear epoxy and stir. BOOM...a beautiful vibrant black that worked great. Highly recommended. Kinda pricey for such a small bottle, but a little drop or 2 goes a long way, so I'm satisfied.

We are going to order EVERY color!

A little goes a long ways. This is quality pigment -- highly recommend!

I mixed this product in with regular hardware store 2-part epoxy and it seems to have worked perfectly. As the instructions say, this little bottle will color a lot of resin. I used 2 drops for about 3 grams of epoxy and oh my word did it turn DARK black. 2 drops was probably too much for such a small amount of epoxy. I was worried that I had overdone it and it would affect the curing of such a small amount, but it seems to be fine. Super dark, super glossy black was the outcome.
