I'm a CERT and Bleeding Control instructor, these are the real thing. I was surprised at the price but the SZCTKlink product will stop the bleeding. If these are a copy then they did it right, down to the stitch count. I would not hesitate to use these in an event and surely will use them for training. I'll be buying them in lots now. This TQ should be in every glove box along with pads and gauze. $7 and you may save a life.

I think this product is sufficient for everyday citizens to keep handy in case one is needed. They’re affordable, easy to use and packaged well so they remain clean until needed. I wish I had one of these when I had the need a few times in years past. It sure beats tearing your shirt or pants, even a shoestring with a stick or pen, when time is of essence. Don’t over think it when deciding to buy an emergency tourniquet, you’ll probably only us it once if you ever even have to use one. Keep one or two in your glove box, they’re inexpensive. Remember, it just might be you or a love one that suffers a severe injury. Best deal for the money. Final note, familiarize yourself with using one right away. Don’t wait til you need it to read the directions.

i was skeptical when i ordered these but they work just as good as the feline named version. i'm not sure what to make of all the comments about the plastic windlass maybe failing in an emergency, it seems pretty sturdy and i've tightened it down on a block of wood to make an effort to break it. your patient's limb will explode before you break this thing. the price is good as well because it's not like you'll be getting it back after it's used in an accident.

I will gladly attest to the quality of this CAT, and its ease of use. I found my pedal pulse and marked it on my foot, secured the item around my thigh, tightened the windlass and locked it into place, and checked for a pedal pulse. My pedal pulse was gone and I released the tourniquet, satisfied with the results. I added this tourniquet & another type to a EMB. I suggest putting your own Emergency Medical Bag together with tools you feel comfortable using.

As a physician, I have seen what can happen when people venture into the wilderness. I was exposed to this type of tourniquet at a Wilderness Survival course. They are easily packeable, and easy to use even on yourself. These are a must in every hiking pack, or emergency kit. Literally a life saver.

These are a great value and are of quality to save a life. I tested one on myself (one handed) and this tq will save a life. That is what Inwas looking for. It is tier 1 issue? No. Do people who have a low probably of ever using it give anything up by buying this cheaper version? No.

What a bargain. Kinda weird but I handed them out as Christmas presents to my family. We are all Firefighter / EMT’s and we now have two in every jump bag at a reasonable price. I see no difference between this tourniquet and the high dollar ones…

Because of the low cost of these CAT tourniquets, I bought several packs for training purposes. We have purchased CAT tourniquets for each classroom in the schools in which I work as a school nurse. EMT-fire fighters came in to train all staff in the use of the tourniquets and we needed to provide training tourniquets because we can't use the tourniquets but once. These tourniquets worked great for training and we will continue to use them until they cannot be used. I believe they would function as needed in an emergency situation, but this is not what we purchased them for.

Comes in a sealed plastic package with instructions inside. I took it out and put my bicep into the loop and pulled the Velcro and strapped it around (tightly like you’re supposed to) and turned the windlass. After 1 1/2 turns it was extremely tight and tingling and numbness was immediate. 2 1/2 turns definitely stopped all blood flow and was pretty painful. Anything past that would start doing damage. So it definitely works. The plastic windlass is plenty durable enough and I don’t see it breaking unless you’re trying to. The instructions are pretty vague and do little to tell you how to actually apply the tourniquet. Watch some YouTube vidoes and you’ll learn how to use it pretty quickly. (You should practice using it on yourself and others before putting into your kit) Even though it’s not “the real thing”, I would trust this tourniquet to save lives, and the price means you can have more of them in more places.

I am an ED physician and a lecturer in the 'Stop The Bleed' campaign and this product is of similar quality to the more expensive 'orange' brand stocked at my hospital. 3 pack great as I know have in both cars and our Go bags. Amazing how a tool this simple can save a life!
