Have this in my new Note 8. Not many have over 100GB of music but I do.Our cabin has no cell or internet but I have all the music one could want at my fingertips with this very nice micro SD card.Works just fine on the Samsung Note 8. It's also where I keep all my photos. I'm very happy with this card.

Fast and overall reliable

I am using it in a dashboard camera (dashcam/video recorder) in my car, at Full-HD, which requires a high speed and reliability. Previous cards often stopped/temporarily suspended recording due to speed/transmitting issues (especially when a car "jumps" a bit e.g., on a speed bump - even at low speed). Based on reviews, decided to order this card. Largely, no issues at all. Have had a "suspended" recording only a couple of times since July 2018.

Great for Nintendo Switch

Put this in my Nintendo Switch. Load times have significantly improved over the Switch's internal storage method. I literally cut my Zelda Breath of The Wild load times in HALF.

Good price for a lot of storage with fast transfer rates

I have a purchased a number of these micro SD cards over the past few months for my various devices and all have worked well. In particular, I have used it for the Raspberry Pi 3B+. I used Win32DiskImager to install the operating system 2018-11-13-raspbian-stretch-full.img in the boot root partition. After expanding the size of the root partition (done automatically on the first boot), the full 256 GB (actually 238 GB) was available. It's a good price for a lot of storage with fast transfer rates.

Reliable performance for the most demanding applications

I am reviewing the new MC-MB256GA model which is the 2017 replacement for the MC-MB256DA. There do not seem to be a ton of differences between last years and this year’s models. The U3 standard guarantees a minimum of 30 MB/s recording speed. The main reason I recommend these Samsung cards is due to the super high reliability and durability. There is nothing worse than going on a trip, filming days of videos only to damage the card or have the data get corrupted. The MC-256GA promises resistance to extremely unfavorable conditions such as withstanding up to 72 hours in salt water, operate and temperature ranges from -25 to 85 degrees Celsius. Further, the data on the drives is not affected by X-rays or magnetic fields which is good news for the frequent flyers. I ran a few card read and write tests and came back with an average of 61 MB/s Write time and 92 MB/S read time. In conclusion, this essentially the same great card that was released in 2016 with a few minor tweaks that likely will not be noticed. Performance will be great for even the most demanding users including 4k video, professional photography, and use in any cell phones, tablets, etc.

Great card, but watch out for counterfeits

Excellent card that works perfectly in my Note 8. I bought this through Prime Gadget. But be aware that there are many counterfeit cards out there that are just junk. The vendor may not be aware of this. The internet has many entries on how to check for counterfeits if you receive them. This happened to me, but when I contacted Prime Gadget, they allowed me either a refund or a replacement. I chose a replacement, and it has been working great. I highly recommend Prime Gadget as a vendor, for their great product AND their great customer service which was very helpful throughout this confusion.

No formatting required

My phone instantly recognized the card. It has incredibly quick transfer speeds. I originally purchased this - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FZP61KC/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 But, it did not function at all, on any device (even when used along with my laptop). That product is just a way to steal money. Stay away from Karenon! But, by all means, consider purchasing a product from Samsung.

An Investment In Use and Enjoyment of my Samsung Galaxy Note 8

I installed this micro SD card in my Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with ZERO problems. The card was immediately recognized (in the background) and no weird mounting / unmounting, i.e. formatting, was required. Yeah, it's a little pricey but I view this micro SD card as an additional investment in my use and enjoyment of the Note 8, just like a case, a screen protector, other accessories, and apps. Very pleased and highly recommended

What's not to love about the speed and capacity

What's not to love about the speed and capacity? Can this old guy tell you a story about when he first got into computing, and how much 4KB RAM cost back then? Didn't think so.

Genuine Product, and it Works in a GoPro Hero 5 Black.

Thanks to someone else's Amazon review, I learned that the GoPro Hero 5 Black will work with a Samsung 256 GB microSD card. I used it to record a 7 hour bike ride on Sunday, and several 3 hour rides since then. It has performed flawlessly. That has been the extent of my testing, but I want to share the information that the card is compatible with GP Hero 5 Black.
