This is my 4th NikonScope, each one an upgrade mostly in magnification. It does, however, have more features than any of the others. I have it mounted with Weaver rings. I sighted it in at 50 yards before my second shoot at the range where I was able to see the bullet holes at 100 yards.

Combined with a 20 MOA rail and Hornady 6 MM Creedmoor ELD-M, achieved multiple hits on target at 1760 yds. Able to spot dirt splash 1 mile out on 18 power. 100 yd zero on 20 MOA rail gets you out to 1450 yds in 3 ful turretl rotations.

The glass is crystal clear, great in early morning or evening low light! This is a precision scope with good eye relief and plenty of features, under $500. I found the wind and elevation adjustments easy to manipulate, and I like the lift to zero feature. I’m 100% satisfied with this scope and I would definitely recommend it. Mounted on a Smith & Wesson M&P Sport II chambered in 556 NATO.

Great scope, it has very sharp glass, edge to edge clarity with a clean uncluttered MOA reticle, it has sharp audible click turrets with zero slop no moosh & plenty of purchase!! like most all Nikon scopes it comes with the nice simple lift & turn zero reset with a solid sight picture from 4 through 16 X, what else do ya need .... I chose the model without the illuminated reticle, I've come to find out over many yrs I never use them anyhow, its more gimmicky to me than anything!! In my opinion what it comes down to with a scope is the quality of the glass, if it has clean clear glass with a bright sharp image then illumination does nothing more than add weight & blur out the image!! in conclusion I'd have to say this is a fantastic buy at or around $5 hundred dollars with a $1000 dollar view, if you cant hit your target with this, we know it's not the scope lol... Best of luck

This scope is amazing. Nice and clear. I can Easily shoot out to 200 yards with this. It is the best scope I have. No regrets buying this one.

Excellent scope for the price. I have always been a fan of Nikon optics and this one does not disappoint. Right now it sits atop a 6.5 creedmoor. It has enough elevation to easily reach 1000 yards with no cant on the scope and it dials true.

This thing is a BEAST! I could hardly wait to get it out of the box! AND IT CAME WITH A SUNSHADE! I read somewhere that Nikon stopped making them, I don't know why, it looks absolutely awesome on my RPR. Features are fantastic, illuminated MOA reticle is going to be a pleasure to mess with...this aught to draw the target in. This scope is right up there with Burris, Leupold, Vortex, and Nightforce! Yeah it (sunshade) has a little "gap" between the objective trim ring but that is because it is a male thread inside the bell as opposed to outside...it doesn't make one bit of difference. I have this mounted on my RUGER PRECISION and the directions (of which I have read all of them) are complete and concise covering all the features, came with a battery and a cool little tool to remove the parallax cap....you know....it's the little things.

I've had this on my rifle now for several weeks. I've shot 2, 600 yd matches with it in place. I have several other scopes ranging from Leupold Mk4 to what ever that cheap little "Bug Buster" thing is. ( steer clear of that by the way. But that's a different review.) The point is, I've paid a lot more for equal or less glass. The knobs are nice and knurrly. I really like the MOA knobs on MOA reticle. Plenty of adjustment for a 6.5 Creedmoor out to 1100 yds with a 0 MOA mount (that's as far as I've gone with it). However do yourself a favor and get the 20 MOA. You'll appreciate it later. This scope will not disappoint.

The glass is Fantastic! Took to a friend's personal range low light 400 yards was clear and easy. We set zero recorded then doped the scope and point and Shoot! My friend shooting SASS with nightforce after the Nikon ordered one. Much bang for the buck!

Super clear glass, the turrets have very positive and audible clicks when adjusted and are also very grippy. Fit and finish is perfect and it’s seems very well built without being overly heavy. It also includes a sun shade which is nice. I did not purchase the illuminated version because I just don’t see it as necessary. I have the scope mounted but have not zeroed and shot. Will update this weekend. **UPDATE** Glass is clear and crips, turrets have no slop or grit, just very precise and audible clicks, and the return to zero works great. Went out to sight in the scope on a very grey, overcast, and rainy day, and the sight picture was great. Very bright despite the weather. Had it on zero in 20 rounds. Do yourself a favor and pick this up if you want a Nightforce for under a grand.
