Worked immediately with both of the more popular coding/monitoring apps. Allowed me to "quickly" re-code a lot of things in my car. No issues with connection, and it seemed to update data very quickly. In the monitoring app BimmerLink, it was able to serve data from the car to the app with very little lag, making real-time monitoring possible. I have no idea what I'd use that for, but it was interesting to watch. The very first thing I did was disable the warning screen that appears when you start your car.

Ok, so I was a little sceptical about this because it was so cheap. This worked great right out of the box. I plugged it into my jeep. I then turned the ignition on without starting it. I turned on Bluetooth phone on and connected to the device. I opened the OBD Jscan App on my phone and unlocked the App for my Jeep Vin. It cost approximately 20$. With the app and this device I was able to reprogram my speedometer to my bigger tires and change tons of other things. Overall this setup was fantastic compared to the overpriced programmers. This is a must have.

Coding hasn't been this easy! Plug to your OBDII port, download the BimmerCode App and start coding. By the way, the BimmerCode App isn't free but at $30, you can't beat it. If you want all of the neat features that the BMW has hidden you'll pay hundreds of dollars from BMW for them to code it for you. I purchased the Wifi version and it has worked every time!

I had bought the Wsiiroon OBDII device, and after that arrived DOA, settled on this Vgate. Bliss! Worked right out of the box, its three telltale LEDs (power, transmission, Bluetooth handshake) are useful, the power LED reminds me to take the thing out when I park - my old OBDII dongle had no telltales, and like my ex-wife, will only talk to me intermittently now, and these dongles do consume power while plugged in, continuously, as the OBDII port is always powered - and being able to see it has handshaked with the handset is nice. I use it with my existing full CaroO Pro Android monitoring / dashcam application, so haven't tested it with anything else, using my older Galaxy, which is dedicated to the car. Good buy.

Used this to disable the auto start/stop feature on my BMW. I had to buy a separate app to pair with this device in order to code the BMW. I ended up using Beemercode. I have an iPhone X and an F10 BMW.

I got this because I needed to change the tire size and gear ratio on my 2008 Wrangler, I saw a review on youtube by JKgear and gadgets, where he used this with the OBD Jscan app. I was able to not only change the size rations in the jeep’s computer, but I turned on the day time running lights and turned off the honk when lock feature. Combining the cost of this device and the app I spent around $50 total which is a lot better than $200 for an automotive OBD computer. Highly recommend this to reset anything on your vehicle as well as checking and resetting codes.

I have coded and re-coded my 2014 328 a few times with this device and Bimmercode app. Simple plug & code using bluetooth connection on my galaxy S8 phone. Cool things like closing all windows and roof plus folding mirrors when pressing fob; changing graphics on startup screen; changing bulb types; adjusting seat heat temperatures; turning off start/stop engine default, etc.

Working very well with BimmerCode app (IOS). Was able tor code my 2018 BMW i3 REx with useful changes. I bought the Bluetooth version and don't mind if it may be a bit slower than the wifi version; works reliably and no hassles with the wifi hardware not functioning with BimmerCode. Definitely well worth it!

Works well with OBD Auto Doctor and Car Scanner on iOS. The ELM Detector on Android identifies this as supporting the ELM327 1.4 command set, which provides the most commonly used OBD support. The features you get out of this adapter will depend on the software you use it with - and most software requires a paid version to enable clearing the Check-Engine Lamp (or Malfunction Indicator Lamp).

Used this to code my 2019 4 series. I hate that the doors don't unlock when the engine is killed. I almost didn't buy the car because of that. Now my car unlocks when I stop the engine and the screen/music shuts off when I open the door. The DVD player now works while driving and I can even play movies from a USB drive. I almost went with another product that is more expensive, but I'm so glad I found out about this device and bimmer code. If you are coding, make sure you code one thing at a time and restart the car to make sure each item works. I reset all my network settings and all Bluetooth connections before connecting because I didn't want to mess up my brand new car. Make sure the car and phone have enough juice to run the coding. There is a video of an idiot blaming Carly (another app) for bricking his module, when he removed the device from the OBD2 port (the BMW Carly adapter damaged my car). Just be careful and you should be fine.
