Beautiful set

I decided I wanted a singing bowl after playing with a collection at a B&B we were staying at. I looked at a number of bowls, many quite inexpensive and read numerous complaints about the sound, workmanship, etc. Found this set (bowl, mallet and small pillow and, even though it was a bit more, I took a chance and purchased it. The set is physically beautiful and the bowl has a lovely tone. What struck me the most (pun intended!) was how long it would continue "singing". Basically, as long as I continue to run the mallet around the bowl, it continues (unlike some I tried that wouldn't sustain the note). It actually gets louder the longer it goes on. Mine "sings" in e-flat - a very peaceful note for me! So, if you're looking for a Tibetan Singing Bowl Set, ignore all those "budget ones and pay for quality - you won't be disappointed! Exactly how happy am I with my purchase? I am planning on getting another, larger, bowl and will shop here - fast shipping, good communication and beautiful merchandise!

Love the SOUND!!! This little bowl does it’s JOB!

Very HAPPY with this little singing bowl! It’s my first one ever & I'm so happy with it and the sound it makes so much so that I’m planning to purchase MORE singing bowls. I want a BIGGER one to add to the sound of this one. Different bowls, different sounds. :) It took me a little while to figure out how to use it & make it “sing” but once I did learn how I can’t get enough. I’m rather attached to it now. Highly recommend it to anyone who’s looking to try out a singing bowl. Once you get one, you will want MORE! ;)

This bowl seemed like a good

I bought this bowl as a mutual gift for our 5th wedding anniversary. My husband and I are always toying around with the ones we see in New Age/Buddhist shops but always stop short of actually buying one—mainly because of the cost. This bowl seemed like a good, relatively inexpensive starter bowl and after looking at the reviews and the little video posted here, I decided to order one. What a great gift it turned out to be! My husband loves it and so do I! (Hattie is benignly tolerant, if mildly amused by all the extra noise in the house; but then she's a cat and cats have already attained Buddhahood, so she just yawns, blinks her eyes, and goes back to sleep). What neither of us realized is that you just don't hit the bowl against the side like a gong. You can, of course. But an even cooler way to play it is by running the wooden thing along the outside rim. You can produce the most incredible, otherworldly sound by doing this—you kind of expect the beam of light from the alien mothership to come down through the ceiling at any moment! It's really fantastic. The video that they send you by email shows you how to play the bowl like this, even how to hold the wooden thing (like a pencil). They say it takes a little practice but both my husband and I got the hang of it within ten minutes. In the meantime, you can just strike it like a gong if you want. If you follow the sound until it disappears, you really do find that you become relaxed and that it's virtually impossible to think about anything else (the laundry you have to do, the bills you have to pay, all those tiresome years wasted trying to live up to the expectations of others, etc). The customer service is terrific. No kidding—they seem like they really *do* care whether you're satisfied with the product, not just romancing you, and give the impression that if you weren't satisfied they'd bend over backwards to do whatever they could to make you satisfied. In my case, I was very satisfied, so they didn't have to do any bending at all. Anyway, I'd very much recommend this bowl to anyone who wants to give singing bowls a try. Just take a look at the rest of the reviews. I'm clearly not the only one who was very happy to have bought one.

Looks and sings beautifully!

Before I ordered this, I was struck by the gorgeous photo as I was scrolling through singing bowls on Amazon. Imagine my surprise when it came & was even more striking in person than the photograph! I've wanted a singing bowl forever, since first stumbling upon them in a cute little shop in Provincetown, ma years & years ago. But all the ones I've seen in shops are so expensive! I finally decided to check out Amazon to see if I could find one more in my price range. I ended up buying 3 different bowls from 3 different companies. They are all beautiful & sing well, even for a novice like me. I ended up giving the first to my son since he couldn't put it down, and am saving another hand carved & hammered one for a future gift. But this one is MINE! The sounds it make are truly breathtaking - everyone I have played it for has literally gasped at the heavenly tones it produces. It's also caught the eye of anyone coming into my house immediately because it is so stunning to look at. When I get a chance I'll upload a video to showcase the singing.

Incredible

I bought this bowl after attending a meditation and wanting one for myself. When I received it I started using it and learning how to make it resonate. After a couple of hours I figured it out. Now what really surprised me was how I felt after just a few minutes of usingnit after I figured it out. After work I come hone and use it for about 5 minutes. I can literally feel a difference in my stress levels after I stop. I feel MUCH more relaxed and calm. This is perfect! Thanks you so much for such an excellent product! I live the size of this since it takes up almost no room in my backpack, meaning I can take it everywhere.

I love my singing bowl!!

I love the color and size. I’m not sure if I have had more fun with it meditating or with my cat. She will come running from the other room when the bowl is played. Sit next to me and get slowly closer till her nose touches it. Then look at me till I set it ringing again.
