Good light output for their size
Bought these not knowing much about them. I wanted something to replace the old 250 watt metal halide fixture behind the garage. When arrived, I was still unsure as they were smaller than I would have imagined. After mounting and wiring one up at the peak of the back of the house, I was quite surprised at the light output it created. Very similar to that of the old metal halide fixture. So far I'm pleased with these and may be ordering more in the future for other areas of the property. Hopefully they last awhile.

but I felt compelled to write a good one for this light
I very rarely write reviews for items I buy, but I felt compelled to write a good one for this light. This light is a lot smaller and lighter than the high pressure sodium I replaced it with. Also puts out as much if not more light than the old one at half the wattage. Didn't know what to expect with a light I got for $25, but I'm very satisfied with it.

Smaller & Brighter Compared to 65W Florescent Yard Light
Brighter than the 65 Watt Florescent Yard Light it replaced! I had 2 of the older outdoor Barn & Yard Light which illuminated around 4,200 Lumens with the 65 Watt Florescent Bulbs. This LED Yard Light is rated at 4,100 Lumens at 35 Watts. I initially replaced just one to see the difference between the Florescent & LED. Wow, was I surprised! The LED was brighter producing a more true 5K daylight color and it definitely out shined the florescent yard light. I really couldn't tell if there were a difference in Lumens? Both the LED & older Florescent covered about the same square footage. I was pleasantly surprised that this LED fixture being smaller in size produced a higher level of light compared to the much bigger florescent light. Oh ya, because it was a replacement or upgrade, installation was very easy! If your doing a new install, make sure you know how to wire & set up. When in doubt get someone who knows.

I was impressed!
I installed the fixture the evening i received it and was very impressed with the amount of light it put out. I was also impressed of the mounting since it had both flange and tube mount allowing it to be installed right on the arm of my old fixture mount. I was able to compare closely the amount of light put out by the Hykolity fixture and one of the old 175 watt metal halide fixtures. it was clearly obvious that the Hykolity was brighter and put out more light than the old one. The Hykolity fixture is significantly smaller than the older yard lights, but that did not affect the output of the fixture The only thing I have yet to discover is the longivity of the fixture but i assure you I will be purchasing more Hykolity fixtures to replace all my other ones! I am impressed!

The last light I tried before this one was a corn bulb which did nicely until a strong wind rattled the bulb receiver loose
I have went through a few of these Dusk to Dawn Lights. Mounting the light 11' from ground level the previous LED lights would be directional straight down bright leaving the surrounding area dark. The next one would be a broad but dim light. The last light I tried before this one was a corn bulb which did nicely until a strong wind rattled the bulb receiver loose. So now I have a Hykolity 35W Integrated LED. It's small, sturdy, and puts out a dependable bright and broad light. A perfect light at a great price.

Better than old light
I am very impressed with this little light! It is really small compared to my old vapor light which took a 175 watt bulb. My old lamp probably weighed about a good 10 to 15 pounds and it was not fun taking it down and replacing it with the new light. It is at the peak of my roof about 30 feet up and I do not like to climb ladders that high. But after it was all said and done the light output was just amazing! Brighter than I thought it would be and so easy to install. Totally lit my driveway the same way my old light did and the distance of the light was better than my old light. I have had it up 2 weeks so far and no complaints yet. Only time will tell how long this one will last. My other light was installed by my Father-in-Law in 1988 and the ballast started to make a buzzing noise at night and it was eating up electricity. Cannot wait to see how much lower my electric bill will be and how much money I will save just by changing out the light! If you plan on doing this yourself and it is a direct replacement ,like mine, make sure you turn the power off from the main breaker so you won't get shocked by the wires accidently touching and blowing out a fuse. I was pleasantly surprised when I flipped the breaker back on it lit up for a few seconds and went out due to daylight and at nightfall it came on instantly with no warm up time. Mind you I am a 53 year old woman and if I can do it you can too!

Great light
The light was easy to install, even into a concrete block building. Pretty straightforward, although the instructions suggest the white wire is LINE, and the black is NEUTRAL. I wired it like you would wire anything, with black being the line and white neutral. Works great this way as I suspected. The light is actually brighter than the old street lights, but no so bright that the people across the street have any problems with it. It's only about 12 feet off the ground and I feel if it were higher it would cast an even wider area of coverage. One photo shows it casting light across the side street. The light is about 35 feet from the road, and if there were no other light it would still be clearly lit.

Edited to reverse my review
I’ve found out that my shed wiring was not correct. We bought a new 16/2 with ground extension cord, and wired the Light to it, and it works perfectly. It is SUPER bright! Customer service from the Seller has been surprisingly good. Hence my review edit. OLD REVIEW; I WAS WRONG: Installed where an existing fixture had been. We checked all original wiring and is good. Waited for dark and what a disappointment! Barely any light at all! Our LED fan lights in the house have an imperceptible glow when they’re off; this ‘barn light’ had about the same amount of lumens. Others questioned the white/neutral and black/hot reversal. We went on the electrical default of wiring white to white, black to black, ground to ground. Im ready to return this as “DEFECTIVE” unless someone can suggest an answer/fix.
