First off I bought this when I was looking for a second sensor for my Original larger version, the TP-65, and found this for only $4 more than the sensor alone. So I decided to get the second sensor plus this (TP-60S) and it was a great choice. For that alone it is worth it. But what's even better is that the outdoor unit can pair to both bases at the same time. So I now have this small one sitting on my bathroom counter and the large on my fridge. But anyway, on to this unit. I added pictures so you can see size and scale. This one is only about 2" x 3". It isn't magnetic but it does have a kickstand. It also doesn't light up or have a touch screen like the 65 but for half the price you shouldn't expect that anyway. What it does do is everything else that the 65 does. What to expect * It can connect to 3 different outdoor sensors at once. * It is able to rotate through them (or can be set to just display 1) * It shows both temperature and humidity (for both indoors and out) * The screen is a very good * Easy to use * The connections to the outdoor units are solid What not to expect * Being able to read the temperature from over a couple feet away I live in a colder climate (Michigan) and like to know both the temperature outside, as well as the temperature in my garage. This is in order to keep an eye on what my cars' batteries are dealing with and whether or not I need to use the auto start to warm it up before I leave for work. So having two sensors is great. I ended up adding a third to keep an eye on the temperature in my finished walk out basement (that no one is currently living in right now). So when I got the second sensor to work I ordered another one and have 3 displays and all three connected to the 3 sensors. I leave the two small displays just showing the outdoor sensors and have the large one rotating through all of them. I hope this helps you make up your mind. Mark this helpful if it is so I know it is worth it to post longer reviews. Or post a comment if you have any questions. Thanks

Setup is simple: Put the batteries in the remote unit first, then put the batteries in the main unit. If you do it in this order, the main unit will automatically scan all three available frequencies to find the remote. A small Philips head screw driver is included to remove the tiny screws on the battery cover of the remote unit. The screws keep the battery compartment water tight. The sealed battery case should help with the longevity of the remote unit. Batteries are included. Small display: The display is smaller than I expected. It is about the size of a small wall thermostat. If you are looking for a compact display, this unit is a good choice. If you need a large display, there are better choices for a little more money.

My ThermoPro TP60 replaces a similar device by another manufacture, a gift from about 10 years ago.The old unit took a bath in the kitchen sink. The old device may still have worked but it was always a pain when replacing the batteries, as the entire unit had to be re-paired and re-programmed. Also, its built-in alarm would tend to set whenever anyone touched it. I go to this length to describe the old one, as in comparison the Thermopro is miles ahead. It pairs automatically. Its settings are simple, and it adds an outdoor relative humidity reading. The dial is easily read. The radio signal penetrates the outside wall with ease for location (in my case) about 20 feet from the transmitter. The only thing I feel is missing is a push-button back-light to see the read-out when the ambient light is low.

Great little instrument!! It works just as advertised and reads well within the stated accuracy limits. Whether or not it's reading matches my NBS traceable, 0.01 degree F lab thermometer is immaterial when all I want to know is whether to wear a long or short sleeve shirt to go out and clean the pool. I can see where other reviewers have had problems because they didn't read the instructions as the controls are not entirely intuitive (but they are logical). As the old saying goes: "Wisdom is what you gain from reading the instructions; experience is what you get from not reading them." I really can't say enough good things about this gadget. It far exceeds the capabilities of the unit it replaced for a very reasonable price. The last one we had lasted about 8 years and had a wired thermo-probe for outside temp and no R.H. indication. We really agonized over buying this one or one with all the controls on the front panel. We didn't like the idea of having to take it off the wall to access the Max/Min feature. However we've found that since it's not tethered to the wall by a cord it's really easy take it off of its hook to hold while stepping through the display screens. We made the right choice!

I received the TP60 a few weeks ago and have been using it without issue since. I contacted the vendor with some questions regarding the accuracy and tolerances to which this device is manufactured. The customer service was outstanding and they answered my questions thoroughly to my satisfaction. The device is compact and will take little space on a nightstand or desktop and it can be wall mounted as well. Instructions for setup were clear and easy to follow. My only issue with the device is that it is somewhat slow to respond to temperature changes whether increasing or decreasing as compared to my other devices from La Cross and Oregon Scientific. For the reasonable price of this device, it is well worth purchasing for use in non-critical applications.

Edit 11/22/17 - Shortly after posting my review I received an email from a company representative offering to help. They replaced the original unit with a new one and it has been working flawlessly for almost a month. Looks like the first one was just defective as range is not an issue at all with the new one. I amended my rating to 5 stars for two reasons. The first reason is simply that the product works as advertised. I'm not in love with the look or the size of the thing but those are personal preferences. The second, and by far most important in my eyes.... CUSTOMER SERVICE! I did not contact the company asking for a replacement. They came to me upon reading my review. They made it right and the replacement product worked... very impressed with their initiative! I wanted to like this but it has major flaws. I am very surprised that it has a 4.3 rating w/ close to 2,000 reviews on Amazon. I was a little disappointed with the size of the display. It's hard to see from across a room and I found myself needing to take extra steps towards it to determine the outdoor temp. While it was a little frustrating I wouldn't consider it a major flaw and I certainly could have paid better attention to the description to anticipate its size... However, the thing just doesn't work for me. It claims to have a 200 ft range but I can't get it to work from 30 ft away (passing through 2 interior walls.) I have had multiple indoor/outdoor thermometers in the past and have set them up in exactly the same way and never had an issue w/ signal. I tried moving the receiver closer to the transmitter and sometimes it will regain a signal. Then I move it further away and it loses it. I have been using it for over a month now and have tried multiple strategies. I changed the batteries in both the receiver and transmitter hoping that would help. It doesn't. I have now given up. On a side note, the unit I bought for my downstairs (BestWeather A120) a couple yrs ago was not rated nearly as high and has been perfect. Much larger display and the range has been impressive (have the receiver upstairs...) However, it gets much lower reviews on Amazon... I find it very confusing. When I bought the ThermoPro it was out of stock which is why I purchased something else. It looks like it is now available again and I am most likely going to just order one of those.

Bought this to measure the temperature while camping. It is small in size, with a stand and mounting hole and an easy to read display (even without my glasses). The outdoor sensor is small and unlike others, is actually weatherproof and can be exposed to the elements. The temperature and humidity are accurate and agree with the national weather bureau. I like the high/low temperature recording so I can tell how cold it got overnight. After getting a new travel trailer, I was able to put the outdoor sensor in the refrigerator and monitor the temperature in my house to check for proper operation. It also has the option to add two additional remote sensors. Update: The first base unit humidity stoped working after a drink got spilled in it. Understandable, my bad. This gave me the opportunity to buy a second set and use two remote sensors. You can use it to display either remote continuesly or to cycle through the remotes. If only 2 remotes are used, the third display cycle showers dashes. If the base unit and the remotes are placed together, they all show the same temperature and humidity within 1. I plan to use this for my travel trailer. I will be able to read indoor, outdoor and refrigerator temperature and humidity. I would and did purchase it again. A very happy purchase.

While this is the low end of the price spectrum for this type device the size, indoor/outdoor temperature/humidity functions are exactly what I was looking for. The setup instructions prepare the user for some delay but I found mine to sync immediately and hold the signal since setup. Range is adequate for a normal size house. I have found the sender fails on these small wireless thermometers after 2 - 3 years so I don't expect great reliability but am OK with the price if it doesn't outlive my others. While return postage will likely be more than the replacement value this item has a five year manufactures warranty. The vendor conducts a very active customer satisfaction email campaign.

Works well. Easy to set up. You will need a small screwdriver to open the battery compartment on the outdoor component. Link the two devices before putting the battery door back on (the sync button is also inside - makes sense). Be sure to replace the flexible seal to match the outline of the door seal. Read the section of the instructions carefully to get the single outdoor device to display properly on the indoor device. I accidentally put it into the mode in which it cycles through three outdoor devices. Overall, a very sturdy and effective device at an excellent price.

Ordered on to replace old Radio Shack unit that died. Works beautifully. Ordered another to put at the other end of the house. Both were within 1 tenth of a degree in the temperature reading and 1 percent in the humidity readings. Both sensors were at different ends of the house. Now using one sensor and two receivers. Will keep the second sensor as a spare but doubt it will ever be needed. Company contacted me on purchase to thank me and explain policies. Highly recommend.
