Great customer service !!!!

The pH pen came with out the calibration solution, but after vigorously researching how to calibrate the TDS&EC Meter I came up with nothing. I tested the EC meter and it was about 100 ppm below the calibration solution at 77°F. The only thing that I could find is that the TDS & EC meter was factory calibrated. ***Would like to update my review*** after receiving a new meter This one is perfectly working great! The customer service was actually awesome, because when I initially gave them a one star rating I was contacted by a representative from the #VIVOSUN and I was offered a new TDS meter for free. It really says a lot about a company that will reach out to their unsatisfied customers for a combo set that cost about $15.

SOME OF THE MOST IMPORTANT GARDENING TOOLS, YET SO OFTEN OVERLOOKED!

I bought these to keep track of ppm and ph specifically and they work great! I use them for exotic gardening and it is extremely important to monitor these things. I have tested both pens, but I use the ph pen every day to make sure that I am at a proper level for nutrient-uptake. I will be using the other pen when it comes time to flush before harvesting time though! Some people get by without using these, but I think they suffer in yield because of it. To maximize potential it is important to pay attention to all details like this. It is not necessary to pay an arm and a leg for an expensive tester for me, so these are the perfect solutions! This is a must-have for any gardener, and I choose to think of it as insurance. If you do not use them, then one small mistake can end up being very costly! For the low price, I recommend everyone to purchase these to be safe versus sorry. Not Very Happy Today

I have used these for decades, always accurate and reliable. I bought this one at the end of April, it started tweaking yesterday, thought just needed new batteries, spent $12 on new batteries today, it’s still tweaking and non functional. Rather pissed off because I really need it. Feeling a bit screwed over, returning period has passed.

Love them both, just what I needed.

I get bottled water from a few places, like a few machines and a water store. I am a water junkie and can taste the difference but wonder how well these machines are maintained in my hood. The water store has the best water and while you cannot test the taste, I get my alkaline water there and never bother to ask what the ph is. After I got these, I found that many of the machines in my neighborhood are not maintained correctly as the tds is way too high. easy to report the machines when you got these babies!! The ph of my water store is around 8, just what they say it is. The meters are easy to calibrate and since I am not doing anything super scientific, it really does not matter if they are off as they are only off around .0x and that is close enough for government work eh? :)

i was primarily interested in the pH meter. it works exactly as i expected. digital LCD display is easy to see and read. one should calibrate the unit before the first use which is an easy process. everything needed to calibrate the unit is included. i really like the storage case for the pH unit. safe and secure. highly recommended for all growers

great price... like 2 for 1....

the PH meter takes a little more calabration than I expected and having to use distilled water to rinse both with is one more thing to do, with no way to test the accuracy is why I gave it 3 stars and not 5, I'm using these for plants so +/- a few points is not that important as long as it's consistent and it appears to be... battery life seems to be good....

Mine arrived calibrated on the money.

Works like it's supposed to. Easy to calibrate as long as you can measure water correctly and follow directions. I tested my pool water immediately and it read exactly as the detailed test conducted at the local pool shop earlier in the day. Mine arrived calibrated with the same exact numbers as the elaborate system the national pool care chain uses. The guy said they calibrate their system once a month.. that's good enough for me.

Great company

This product was sent to me with only the PH tester. It didn't come as a combo like advertised and I can't find any instruction on how to contact the company for customer service or to re-up on calibration packets. The ph tester only came with one 3-pack of calibration powders. I would have liked more. Unfortunately the tester would not calibrate to exact numbers of the oh in the packets so I am unable to be sure if the ph in my water is where I want it to be. And with no extra packets to try and recalibrate I'm at a loss. During the calibration process I was able to get as close as .37 which seems tiny but, when I'm trying to ph my water between 5.6 an 6.1 which is what I like for dry amendments to coco coir I can easily over or under ph my water resulting on less than optimal plant uptake of nutrients ultimately resulting in less than optimal harvest of fruit and flowers. What I did to compensate for the poor tool was also purchase a soil on tester to use in conjunction with this device in order to fine tune my oh readings. Updated 7/30/2019 Shortly after submitting my review Vivosun contacted me and agreed to provide me with a brand new combo set free of charge. They were extremely helpful and quick to help. I can't say enough about this company. They are amazing!

Works as described and is of excellent quality for the price. When tested against my current TDS meter, the pens were within 2ppm and 1⁰F of each other. I like that the temperature and ppm are displayed at the same time. I would buy again if needed.

Great for home gadening.

I bought these for my son and his girlfriend. They have a veritable jungle growing and are constantly playing nursemaid to the many succulents and other plants they have. I purchased these devices to aid them if their efforts to maintain their garden. The units arrived promptly and were ready almost instantly out of the box. They came with adequate operational instructions and even had material to make the test standards to set the PH meter. After a brief learning curve, they are used quite frequently and the plants look like they are appreciating the lack of fumbling. Everything is green! Just don't stand too long in one place or you may get watered! A great buy, I would think. Easy to use and small enough to not require any special handling or storage. I definitely recommend the tools and the seller!
