I bought this for my skid steer track loader which has very little visibility to the rear. So far it is working great, I can see what is behind me very well. The monitor lacks a bit in color definition which I have not been able to improve with the brightness/contrast/tint/saturation controls but it seems maybe it needs a little burn in time because it has gotten a little better with each use. Also, if you have never done any vehicle wiring I would recommend getting help from somebody who has done some electrical installs. It is straight forward, but you need to have some basic knowledge of automotive wiring to be able to install this. I am hoping this unit will be durable and will update this review after a few months, or in the case that it fails earlier than that. But at this point I am happy with the product.

I cannot believe that it cost me less than $40 to install a backup camera on my 2012 Hyundai Tucson. Fishing the wire from the back to the front was the most time consuming and tedious. The camera connection was simple and very flexible for different connection options. The picture quality is very good for the price and even at night, it is far better than expected from a camera of this price. I did not power the camera and the monitor through the reverse light because I want to use this camera not only while reversing but at other times too, as needed. I drilled a hole on dash and used a small nut and bolt to hold the camera in place instead of the adhesive tape. I wanted a windshield mount and the seller quickly dispatched it. The connecting wire to connect the camera in the back to the monitor all the way in the front, ran approximately 2 feet short and the seller was very prompt in dispatching a 33 feet long wire for my use at no cost. Both these items are in the mail but the seller was very responsive and prompt...couldn't have asked for a better service.

I am the worse 'backer-upper' that exists... until I bought this camera and monitor. Back & forth ten, fifteen tomes just to get a trailer in a slot. Not to mention connecting the trailer to my reese hitch. Without a 'spotter' in back, I'd get close, stop, get out, need another ten inches, then back-up, get out, and now misaligned, get back in, pull forward, guess at lining up, get out... you get the picture. Well, so do I because this camera is oriented backwards which makes backing up, (especially a short trailer) a cinch. The monitor has incremented bars to accurately know distance. Now when I go to hook up my trailer, I simply watch my ball hitch through the camera and when it disappears under the trailer trailer tongue, I'm lined up beneath it and just need to crank down onto the ball, hook everything up and go. And it has great night vision.

My job's office van has a factory installed backup camera and monitor and I got very use to using it. My personal car did not come with a backup camera/monitor. I saw this deal from LeeKooLuu. Very inexpensive, yet comes complete with camera and monitor and long video cable. I ordered it but the instructions were not very clear. So I contacted the vendor via Amazon messaging and the customer service was very helpful and sent a diagram which helped to clear my misunderstanding. I took a whole day off to work on it. The wiring to get power to the camera also gets power to the monitor so the monitor will turn on when you shift into reverse the same time the camera does. Though routing the video cable under the plastic rocker panel trim and within the dash console was not easy, it was not impossible for a novice like me. You can find any info you need on YouTube. Well, the LeeKooLuu 7 LED night vision rear view backup camera/monitor system runs very good. It has a clear image in daylight. In night time it tends to display in red color grayscale but still sharp enough to know what is behind you. It works well for being as inexpensive as it is. The LeeKooLuu rear view backup camera came as a fully working product with no part of it not working. It was nice having a product work as designed and as expected. I was not disappointed.

We all want the products we buy to be flawless, if electronics, to be perfect. Unfortunately this is not always the case, that's where customer service comes in.... My backup system had a flawed camera. Pictures added. In my case, the camera was not centered in the housing. I had to move the camera 7/8" to the left & spacer the right side out with 12 1/4" washers. Looked terrible, plus this camera put square boxes throughout my monitor. Very disappointed at this point! I contacted the seller, without reservation, sent me a new camera (upgraded) model. This camera is perfect. No more square boxes in my monitor. After purchasing I requested a longer video cable, 33 foot, for my Dodge Ram 2500, 8 ft bed. Three days later it came via Amazon Prime. The service from LeeKooluu is 10 star. I was told I can keep the old camera. Its in the dumpster. I'm sure Leekooluu lost money on this deal. I really do feel bad about that. As a previous business owner of 45 years, sometimes you have to reach in your pocket to make things right. Down the road I'm going to upgrade to a 7" monitor, 4 camera system. Leekooluu will be my only choice for my next purchase......

I installed this in our 2010 KIA Sorento. The wiring was pretty easy to hide in the trim once I discovered how to remove the rear hatch trim. The only place the wire is visible is about 8 or so inches from the steering column to the LCD display. The only improvement I would suggest would be for the wiring diagrams to be printed a little larger, but then I am 84 years old. I did test the unit for operation before attempting to install. It is working as advertised.

Very Easy To Install. I spliced the power cables from both the Camera and the Monitor cables into one connection using the cigarette lighter socket adapter that is included in the package. Quickest & Easiest way to install. Everything works amazing for the value. The night vision light works surprisingly well.

Agree with the comments about the bad instructions. Don’t bother visiting the URLs because they don’t tell you how to install anything. The product is nice for the low cost and works well. I also had problems with the adhesive but the seller said they would send me a suction cup mount. The camera doesn’t provide as much viewing angle as one of my cars built in camera but it does the job. I angle it up a bit to see what’s behind me rather than seeing what’s right next to my bumper. I had an issue where one of the power cables was broken but the seller sent me a new one. Good customer service. I suggest you use a multimeter to check the power cables before installing in your car. Also best to test out the system before installing to make sure it works. The rear camera mount is a bit too large and covers up my license plate so I trimmed it off with pliers. It still had enough room to stay mounted so even if it’s not ideal, it works. You can search YouTube for videos on how to install backup cameras on various cars, and it’s different for each vehicle so there isn’t a ton of reason for them to make more in depth instructions. Note that you can power the device in a couple ways—the normal power cables only or you can hook in the red cable on the yellow video wire. I went thru a car wash and so far no issues. I noticed on some power ons that I got the purple tint but that only happened before fully installing my system. The camera/video instantly turns on when I switch to reverse (as I hooked it up to my reverse lights) and the camera also automatically turns on its IR mode when it’s dark.

I really like this system. It's inexpensive, but has features I can appreciate. Such as the screen- it used to be with these little monitors that if there was not a video input, you'd see static (salt and pepper) or a blue screen. If the screen is powered on, but not the camera, it has a black screen. Simple, but that goes a long way. The camera is really waterproof. I opened the back cover (see photo) and saw that the case is fully injected with a sealant. I've read reviews of other brands developing condensate on the inside. The installation instructions are thorough and give you several ways to wire things up. It's very simple. You choose how to have the screen and/or camera powered (ignition on, or reverse engaged). And, the screen has a input for a second camera! You can purchase an extra camera and install it anywhere. The reverse camera input has priority. I'm going to put a camera on the front bumper so I can check for cross traffic in tight intersections before beginning to pull out. The camera is a little hard to tilt. It's because it has minute edges on the case halves that form the "barrels" it rotates on. If yours is truly hard to rotate, you can remove or loosen the four small screws that hold the camera to the license plate mount. I fully removed one side and loosened the other to remove the camera, then I scrapped smooth the burrs on the barrels with a razor blade. It's not much material, the seam of the case just line up with the seam of the case mounts. If one seam was rotated 90degs, this wouldn't happen, and the camera would rotate better. Other than that, most of the kinks are worked out of this affordable and exceptional add on. A little more info on my uses... I got one for my wife's car (Volvo C70) to use as a backup camera, and I'm getting another for my Volvo V70R to monitor my motorcycle trailer.
