When I saw this online, I knew I had to buy one. I have often wondered why I should have to balance a heavy towel on my head -that hurts my arthritic neck and falls off whenever I lean over- just to keep wet hair from dripping all over until I can do something with it. It is an annoying, achy, balancing act. The Aquis Hair Turban looked like the solution I've been looking for all of my adult life. It's a microfiber ready-made turban of 80% polyester and 20% nylon, 27 inches long, which will fit all but the longest hair. My hair is thick and shoulder-length and there is space for more than twice that in the turban. I twist my hair into the turban, button it in the back of my head, and my hair is out of the way until I want to dry it or style it. The turban is lightweight and securely fixed to my head. It won't come off if I do jumping jacks. It never gets in the way of anything. And microfiber creates less friction against the hair than a looped cotton towel, resulting in less frizz, which is why microfiber is considered Curly Girl-friendly. I have finely-textured hair and pulling a big, cotton towel off of my head sometimes snagged hairs and broke them. This turban is gentle on my hair, comfortable, and eminently practical. I was surprised to read that some reviewers expected this turban to reduce drying time. Then I looked at Aquis' web site and saw that they advertise their microfiber products as "rapid dry." This is misleading. Microfiber does not absorb as much water as cotton. It absorbs excess water but leaves the hair damp. This is by design. Your hair won't dry in the shape of the turban. You can lock the moisture in with your styling products. You can style the hair at your leisure or scrunch it to enhance curls or waves; it will remain damp until you remove the turban. It's the opposite of quick-drying. For me, the Aquis Hair Turban is a brilliant solution to a vexing problem. I love it. No more aching neck. No more rush to do something with my hair because I can't do anything with a big, heavy towel balanced precariously on my head. It's attractive, machine-washable, and perfect. The Hair Turban will probably work for hair that is halfway down your back but no longer. There is a long version (44 inches), though I'm not sure how practical it is to pile that much hair on your head, even if you can get it into the turban. There is also a waffle version, but it seems to me that would create more friction.

I've tried many cheaper versions of these drying turbans, and this is certainly a case of "You get what you pay for!" As soon as I felt it, I knew it was better quality. I have wavy hair that needs product or it gets frizzy. When I took this off my head after my shower, my hair was ALMOST DRY and I had all these well defined curls! I couldn't believe it. And the large button and wide loop make it easy to put on, unlike the others with the small button and tight loop that were so frustrating - they went right into the donation pile. Don't hesitate, this is worth the money!

I actually have this on now and love it! I’ve tried the towels and they work but what I love about this is the button feature. It stays put until I’m ready to remove it whereas the towels come off easily. The towels do the job they’re intended too (certain brands) but if I’m trying to do things while I’m using a towel version, it keeps coming off. This product definitely helps with drying because when I remove it, my hair is damp. I can get things done with this on and it stays put. Lastly, I have tried other brands and in my opinion, this brand is the absolute best!! *****Just remember when you wash it, do not use fabric softener. I let mine air dry.

This is the best towel turban I've ever bought. My hair is past shoulder length and quite thick, so it holds a lot of water when I wash it. I squeeze out the excess water, wrap it up in the AQUIS turban, and in a short time the towel soaks up more water than any other turban I've ever tried. Don't waste your money on trying cheapo towels... This is the one!

I was skeptical that a $20 hair turban would be much better than the $5 models I've bought at Target and similar. The fabric on this thing is great. I have long wavy hair that's prone to frizzing and takes 40minutes or more to blow dry most days. 30 minutes after using a microfiber towel. With this turban, my hair dries in about 20 minutes using a hairdryer. If I don't use the hair dryer, I have way less frizz after using this towel. My hair will actually dry overnight now as opposed to still being wet when I wake up in the morning.

This turban is really convenient. It doesn't get your hair THAT much drier than a thick conventional towel would, but it's really light and the design stays on your head, so you're not straining your neck to balance the towel while you brush your teeth. I put it on straight out of the shower and only leave it on for about 5 minutes, but in that time, it gets all the excess water out so my hair is just damp, not dripping wet. From there I blow dry for about 10 minutes and I'm good to go. I initially bought the Aquis towel that's *not* a turban because my hair is pretty long (down to my belly button when it's wet) and I didn't think it would all fit in the turban. Ironically, because the towel doesn't have a closed end like the turban, the end of my hair stuck out of the towel and stayed wet. The turban actually does fit all my hair. In conclusion: it's comfortable, it's effective, it's convenient, and it's good for pretty much any length of hair. I highly recommend it.

The thing is, the rectangular towels are larger in surface area, but this one is shaped perfectly to take wet hair, when bent over, and twist it into a turban that does button down in the back. I'd been using a rectangular one, which is very absorbent. However, the proportions of it were such that I needed an extra measure of security to make the turban keep its shape - usually an extra hair clip. One thing about this is that it's SO absorbent, I find my hair semi-styled before I even get a chance to get to it!

I was hesitant to purchase this turban but when reading why its beneficial I figured I'd give it a try. It really does leave my hair silky and much less frizzy than when I used my towels. It dries my hair a decent amount and itself dries very quickly. It fits comfortably on my head and is a much less of a hassle than putting a huge towel - so you are more mobile =). There is no tugging or pulling, you comfortably adjust it and go about your getting ready. I suggest not leaving your hair up for too long before drying because towards the sides of the head, it takes on the shape unless you are going to be styling it. Definitely recommend!

I just purchased a second one because I get annoyed when my first one is in the laundry. I wear this from the moment I get out of the shower until I decide to dry my hair- anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours later. It keeps my hair from dripping wet and in my face but also keeps it wet so that I can style it appropriately when I want to. It twists into a "turban" super easy, latches with the button very simply, and stays very secure on my head until I decide to take it off. Love this thing and take with me even when I travel.

This thing is AMAZING. I always air dry my hair. I don't like damaging it with heat and I don't like the noise of blow drying since it scares my cat and wakes up my hubby. But my hair takes HOURS to dry. I saw this item on a listicle on Facebook. I saw all the good reviews. I decided to give it a try. I did two trial runs - one of my hair inside this thing and one regular. It took literally an hour for my hair to regularly dry to the same level as this turban can do in 15 minutes. (Literally, 15 minutes, I time it with my phone.) It was so great, I got a second one so I could alternate and have one in the wash and still not be without one to use. I plan to buy another one to leave in my travel things - and another to give to my sister for Christmas! I never used hair turbans before because they wouldn't stay in my hair, but this one fits as snugly as you want it to and buttons in the back, so it takes the sloppy mess out of using a hair turban. It's even okay with bangs! Just comb out your bangs first, then wrap them up with the rest of the hair. That initial combing takes care of all the messy, wiggly bangs I'd get from wrapping them up. These are super and I'd absolutely recommend them.
