Very helpful and functions very well.
This is one of the best purchases (on or off Amazon) that I’ve made in recent memory - especially for the price. I write by hand and illustrate quite often and this has solved most of the terrible pains caused from hunching over my work. I also bring it around the house and use it flat on a desk or table when I want to raise any work or writing (or my laptop) closer to my eyes. I assume it would be a great way to hold an iPad while reclining, as well. Although I expect for that use it would help if the flip-down ledge to rest it on were larger. This would help me out when using larger notepads/sketchpads/magazines/books. I bought this lap desk specifically because it was one of the less common models that allows the work surface to be raised higher. Once it’s adjusted to that height, the legs that support it are nice and sturdy, (I can lean on them with my elbows.) Surprisingly, the rather thin plastic of the work surface does not flex anywhere when you’re writing on it and feels really solid. It would be nice if the adjustable legs locked into place so it didn’t come loose when picked up or turned on its side, but it’s not a big deal. The cushions on the underside are really comfortable and nice and tall to provide extra height. They are presumably spaced apart feom one another instead of one large cushion so it feels ventilated on your lap and doesn’t make you hot. It’s slim enough to keep under the couch or coffee table. For what I paid, I feel crazy for not getting one sooner. And this one especially is a great value for how useful it’s been and how much assistance and relief it provides.

Use it everyday!
As a college student, I'm constantly sitting and looking down when doing school work. It got to a point where my shoulders and neck were sore everyday and my hips ached from sitting either in a chair or on my bed criss-cross-applesauce style. I decided to purchase this as a solution to my laptop always sliding around on the books I would place underneath it as I studied in bed. However, this lap desk has since been utilized in do many other ways that have since shown me I was a Neanderthal with the way I did work before this purchase. Now, I can comfortably take notes and write flashcards while semi-laying down (no more hunching over to write for long periods!), my laptop stays firmly in place on its surface because of the fold up lip, and the adjustable tray makes viewing or writing at any angle a total breeze. The soft pads underneath vary in size with a gap between them that helps with keeping your legs (or stomach or chest - I'm not judging) from getting too hot, and they're so soft they also make you forget there's anything on top of you at all! This lapdesk is my favorite studying tool, and I've recommended it to everyone who listens because it's honestly that great.

Adjustable and good sized.
As a short person, I was having a difficult time finding a lap desk that is the right angle for using my tablet while siting. This desk is perfect as it is adjustable in addition to the bolsters. It is a good size as it would accommodate most laptops and tablets but it is not too big. My only complaint is that when you are carrying it by the handle, the tab at the bottom for keeping the laptop from sliding down, opens up and it could catch on something.

Nice for studying & reading novels
My primary use for this lap desk is elevating text books to a viewable plane (hands-free). As you can see in the picture, a binder clip attached to the front cover and some of the pages, works wonders to keep your book open. At night, I use it on my lap to take the strain off my wrists when reading novels. My mom also uses it for her iPad. All in all, a useful item that I use daily. Is it differentiated from other lap desks? No clue, this is the only that I've used. It does not have any storage.

How did I ever live without this lap top desk?
I purchased two of these (one for me and one for my mom) in hopes that is would be decent. When I opened the package, I thought "Okay, looks good. I hope it's not too small or too flimsy and snaps after one use." It's more than decent in my opinion. I have an older Macbook Pro 13" and a new Amazon Fire 10" (2017). My mom has a Microsoft Surface and each of these devices fit on this desk wonderfully. I like that you can reposition the height according to your needs or use it flat. When I use my Fire, I prop out the small front holder and angle the desk. When I use my Macbook Pro, I use the desk in the flat position. The under padding is very soft and comfortable to have on your lap. It works just as well on a table or other flat surface. The plastic seems sturdy enough but not too crazy thick otherwise it would be too heavy/annoying to carry around from room to room. If I loved this lap top desk any more than I do, I will have to marry it. I purchased these with my own money and only give honest reviews. Although, I find human nature inclines people to seek out "cons" because they don't believe in glowing ratings/reviews. The only con for me is that it does collect dust and it can accumulate in the nooks. Nothing a microfibre towel or swiffer can't take care of.

Great for school work laying or sitting
First of all, the only thing that is worrisome about this lap desk is that it seems like it would break easily. The stand that props up the top is just plastic and not super thick. With that being said, it has worked very well for me and I have had no problems whatsoever even with heavy school books. I previously owned a $30 one that was flat other than the pencil holder and a small ledge, and I have to say that this one is far more functional. I use it for school work and can either use it completely flat, with the ledge folded down and the top all the way down, to write on paper and stuff, or I can use it to prop up my books while I read and take notes on the readings—the fold down ledge keeps the book in place and can hold a writing utensil while the adjustable top can be stood according up to preference. Comfortable and doesn’t have too much or too little padding on the bottom.

MIND READER ADJUSTABLE LAP DESK
This is a great invention. I bought a product call Litpads. You stick stuff to them and they adhered to any surface no they're reusable. But I digress, I slapped one of these puppies on my Mind Reader and I'm in business. My iPad doesn't slip off and now I can watch my Jimmy Fallon videos in comfort. I'm so glad I got this.

i am surprised at how much of a positive difference this makes
i work from home on my couch and recliner, and i always basically have my up feet on the seat part of the couch or recliner seat to lift my legs up to serve as a base to hold my laptop to bring it close enough to my body to use. i kept only looking at foldable laptop tables, the kind with 4 legs that go over your 2 human legs :-) and the one i just got broke - they weren't comfortable and bc the table covers your legs, your legs aren't really mobile with a table. i had to sit with my legs straight to the ground. i found myself avoiding using it, anyway it broke right away. also with a table with 4 legs, you are stuck at the height it gives you - you can't move your legs closer to your body etc. it's a fairly inflexible set up. turns out i was looking for the wrong kind of laptop table - this is totally different and soo much better i am surprised at how much of a + difference it makes. i am now sitting on my recliner, sitting indian style/cross legged, with this laptop table on top of my legs, it's very comfortable bc of the foam base, and i have lifted the top of the table (it's adjustable) so that the computer is nice and close enough to my face and hands. i use a macbook air 11" and it's not falling off, easy to type. i really love this. i wish it had some sort of storage so i could store my headphones but maybe i'll rig it somehow. anyway i love it and use it all the time. if you're the type who likes to move your legs around, or put your computer on your chest, etc, this is really pleasantly cool. gives you flexibility. pay attention when you buy stuff - if you avoid using things, i would say those things are not for you. it's a sublte feeling, but an important one. i learned that i only want to have stuff around that i want to use often. i got this yesterday but notice that every time i go for my computer (dozens of times a day) i immediately grab this too and have used it every time bc i wanted to - it's like an extension of my computer now. to me that's an indication that this is a keeper. it's also lightweight and not bulky, important to me. i will bring it when i travel.

Great product - recommended!
This is a great laptop desk. It works perfectly for my 13" laptop, my Kindle Fire and for reading books or magazines. I agree with other reviewers that it is not super thick plastic...but I actually like this because it keeps the desk light. The bean bags on the pack are comfortable, so I can use it for extended periods. I like the adjustable back and the little tab that flips up, which keeps the device in place. I recommend this product!

Like to read in bed but hate holding up the book???
I LOVE reading in bed but my books were so heavy to hold, even if resting on a pillow. Enter this simple little lap desk! I would give it 10 stars if I could.... JUST what I needed!! Yes, it's kind of cheaply made from plastic, but for the price, you really can't beat it!! I'm currently reading a 500+ page hardcover book and this holds it up with ease! I do place a pillow under it to raise it up, but that's not a problem. I bought a second one for my book loving friend and I know she'll appreciate it as much as I do!! = )
