Handy Propane Scale
This is a really handy little specialized scale and feels solid. While the nerds on "Big Bang Theory" say "everything is better with Bluetooth", this does just fine without it. It's Old School, and works fine. It is very simple to use...you place the hook through a hole on the tank and lift the tank, then lower the tank back to the ground. The needle pushes the "Lift Indicator" to where the needle pushed it. Look at the dial and look to see where the "Lift Indicator" points to. Now you know how much is left in the tank. Then you turn the knob to reset the "Lift Indicator" back to "Empty" before you weigh the tank again. Why have a "Lift Indicator"? Because to read the dial while lifting a 20 lb tank in front of you to read the dial. Now you unhook the scale and read the dial.

Easy to use and appears much more useful than gas pressure gauges
Just received and found very easy to use, and much better than gas pressure gauges being replaced. The indicator was very helpful for easy use. My four current propane tanks (all 20#): Tank 1 was filled at RV service center (not used since filled): - my guess: full - gas pressure gauge: pretty full - Grill Gauge: F Tank 2 was filled at RV service center (used a number of times) - my guess: 1/4 at best - gas pressure gauge: pretty full - Grill Guage: 3/4 Tank 3 was exchange tank in use on bbq - my guess: 1/2 - gas pressure guage: fullest of all tanks - Grill Guage: 1/4 Tank 4 was exchange tank holding as spare - my guess: full - gas pressure gauge: pretty full - Grill Guage: 3/4 Based on the weight of each, the Grill Guage seems most accurate. The gas pressure gauge type readings seemed pretty useless. So far I am impressed. Now I hope it holds up!

Simple and Excellent
Incredibly simple design, and perfectly accurate. This is a simple, but great product that delivers exactly what is promised - the accurate measure of how much propane is left. No real effort needed to lift the tank - it only requires an inch or two elevation. Very well built and a great tool.

Good gauge
Nice to have on hand to know how much propane you have left. Helps me calculate how much time I have left for my smoker. One note: gently pull up one the gauge and tank. If you pull to fast/hard it will tell you that you have more propane than you actually do.

Five Stars
Let's me know when to re-fill, gives accurate readings in my opinion.

Best method to determine how much propane is left. Great tool and very accurate.
I used this little gem on a regular basis until I got my Weber Genesis II which has a gauge built in. Now I use it to check tanks that aren't attached to my bbq. This is the best way to tell how much gas you have left. Pressure gauges are not an accurate method since the pressure in the tank should remain fairly constant until your tank is quite low, The industry uses tank scales for best accuracy.

Great product, good value
Very pleased. Really solid product that absolutely confirms how much propane is left in the tank. Like the black marker to retain the measurement after you stop lifting the tank...winner.

Easy, reliable
Easy to use, very clear. We've gotten the type that you screw onto the valve and those seem to go from medium to EMPTY in an instant. Not reliable at all. And we forget and leave them on the units and swap them out, same for the stickers you put on the side and spray water onto. But this is super simple, and we have 1/4 of a tank left.

Works Great!
Worked really well! I bought it and tested my tank with it and it was basically on E - so I took it to ace hardware and had them fill it up for me. They told me they fill to 20lbs for those tanks. I brought it home and lifted it and it was all the way on FULL. So - this appears to work really well! The directions that come with it say if you are doing the tank exchange program (like at your grocery store, etc.) they only fill to 15lbs and so it will read 3/4 full (the 15lb mark.)

Safe and accurate
The scale is spot on when measuring both a full or empty propane tank (remember, most tanks you buy or exchange at a retail store are filled to only 15 pounds, not the max capacity of 20. As such, a "full" tank of 15 pounds will only register 3/4 full on this scale). Unlike in-line gauges, using a scale has zero chance of failing and causing propane gas to leak. This is a much safer way to go.
