I'm using this in Niamey, Niger. I researched a few carriers and found Orange had the best service for this device. Moov did not work. I spent about 4 hours in the Orange store one Friday morning and before I left I was "connected"... just if you have Apps running on your phone, please turn them all off. I think the only ones I use abroad are Skype, WhatsApp, Mail, Google Translate.... other than that the rest should be off. I wait for free WiFi locations to do most of my uploading and downloading, and even for updating Apps with. To do updates, yes, I have to turn back on the Apps, but I later turn them back off. Also, I have my phone set up to disconnect from the device so it's not using data also when I am not touching it. It's the only way to stretch data usage abroad. Imagine using $185 in 2 weeks?... yeah... that's pretty much what went down... but with about 3 visits to Orange I fixed that issue!

So far, the best AT&T connect device I've used. Has better signal strength vs the ZTE Velocity, and has Carrier aggregation where available, for faster speeds. You can reboot remotely (which I like, haven't had to do yet). Battery lasts all day. Great for what I need it to do. Only downside is it has the weird Galaxy s5 type charge port. It uses micro USB (like android) also, but wish it was either standard without the extra opening, or newer type C. Otherwise its a great MiFi/jetpack

I bought this mobile wifi to have keep all of our family devices connected at high speed while traveling in Italy. I bought a local data SIM card and inexpensive local data plan. This allowed for 4G/LTE internet connection as well as wifi calling. While setting up I accidentally did a factory reset after which the device was locked. I contacted seller who quickly gave me the unlock code and I was back in business. It took some work to get the device up and running because the APN is defaulted to ATT. After finding the correct setting from the service provider web page I was connected. The device worked perfectly and could handle 6 connected devices without any problems. On the way home I tried to power up and get service in London and it worked. Then tried again in the US and still got service on international roaming. This might depend on which SIM card/service provider you go with. I am extremely satisfied with this product.

Great little device. No issues with anything. Getting about 33mbps speed in my current location (out in the country) with it. No issues with numerous devices. Low latency for gaming. Using it with AT&T. So much better than my CenturyLink DSL. Didn't come with sim card. Picked one up at Walmart.

Outstanding, slapped in my T-Mobile sim card and fired it up and it works like a charm. The unit appeared to be new, battery was factory sealed. I didn't have to do any configurations to get this to work. Love it!! Don't waste your time on the refurb unit, I bought one and it wouldn't fire up out of the box - so much for refurb. Also they don't give you the unlock key, you have to e-mail them and request the unlock key in case you have to reset it.

This Netgear Mobile Hotspot came unlocked & worked fine. I popped my Google FI sim into it & changed the APN to google fi settings & it worked. The charging cable that it arrived with was micro-usb & the charge port on the device was a USB 3.0. Incompatible! , but not a problem as I have plenty of those USB 3.0 cables. It did not come with an unlock code as advertised, but an e-mail to the seller was responded to with that unlock code that I would need should I ever reset the device. Now I can tell AT&T to take a hike! They refused to unlock my Mobile Hotspot I purchased thru them 3 years ago. AT&T SUCKS!!!!!!!

Cannot update firmware. Netgear won't support this device. There is no manual firmware update other than OTA (over the air) from AT&T. Good vendor though. Good communication. Buy with confidence.

Netgear Unite Expore 4G LTE Rugged Mobile Wifi is one the best in the maket. I use it daily and the auto switches from 2.4G to 5.8G is great. If you feel like need fast speed just switch to 5.8G. The product will take a lot of power went use 5.8G mode. The 2.4G mode is fine as well and perfect for daily use. Highly recomended the unit to traveler and business use.

works as advertised, I like the touch screen and easy menu

I wanted to let anyone who is needing a mobile WiFi connection that this 815S is the way to go. I purchased this unit with an unlimited data plan ($30 per month) and we watch our favorite shows on the road. We are rv’ers and you will always be disappointed if you’re depending on Park WiFi to get you online. The two purchases are perfect for getting online even while moving down the road. I couldn’t be happier.
