Exactly what you’re after!

The map is so great! Exactly what we were looking for! Because of the size, 35x25, you aren’t going to find a frame in stores with those dimensions. However l, I found a great site, Art To Frames, that will do custom sizing for relatively cheap! You have so many options and the prices vary. I believe I paid 40$ for ours. Can’t wait to continue scratching off the places we’ve been!!

Special present from Granddaughter

Received the world wall map from my granddaughter for Christmas. I had it framed at Michaels using a muted gold and black edged frame which complimented map colors. I did not, however, use it as a scratch-off map and instead compiled a listing of our travels beginning in the 1970's to present by using retro metallic 1/8" bead head push pins and a supplementary box of multiple colored pins. Yes, I planned specific colors for specific reasons, i.e., all capitols are indicated with a gold pin, all cities/locations with a specific color (except US which were indicated with a silver pin). Significant waterways are in blue. All this was possible as I had saved folders of our itineraries and a Google web site provided a complete listings of Countries and Capitols of the world (I just deleted those not visited) - entering specific data provided me with a significant key. I placed a small photo of us at bottom middle as provided. Yes, it was a lot of work because of the many years of travel, but I really enjoy the finished project. It hangs in front foyer wall just under entrance ceiling lamp providing great lighting. The color of the pins are not garish and the map provides great interest to those who want to view it.

True dimension is 35x25 while a standard frame size is 36x24.

This map is BEAUTIFUL! I did a lot of searching for the perfect scratch off map as a gift for my girlfriend and she absolutely fell in love with it. The map came in a nicely wrapped package, no dent or damage. The actual map itself came in a long black cylinder. Inside contained the map, a box filled with pins and a sturdy scratcher, and lastly a piece of cloth to wipe the bits off. Let me tell you, the map itself is absolutely STUNNING. The black map looks extremely aesthetic and high quality. It feels like it too. I'm not too worried about the dimension for framing. Comparing to other scratch off maps on the market, this one beats everything. It is very detailed and it doesn't have the unnecessary things like the countries' flags or legends that take up a lot of space like other maps have. It's just a beautiful, good size map of the world. Simple, detailed, straightforward. This map is great for decoration because it's a good size, and it doesn't have useless details on it. We scratched a few spots and it looks great. This is a great gift for people who loves to travel.

High Quality!!! Awesome detail!!!

This is definitly one of the best looking maps I found on amazon. The poster material is thick and high quality, would take some effort to rip. The most important thing about this map was the detailing of the state's in the United States and also the regions within each larger country (like Austrailia, China, Canada, and Russia) which was not very common to find in these scratch off maps. I have already scratched off a decent amount of Europe and it looks pretty cool, the colors are vibrant and vary from country to country. The scratch layer on the map is not brittle and actually took some effort to scratch off which was also nice. I mounted my map on a 30" x 40" canvas using spray adhesive and it looks fantastic! I highly recommend this product!

Great product, excellent quality.

I ordered 2 of these (one for myself and another one for my sister) and I am really in love with it! the quality of the material is great, the finishing and all the details makes this map a number #1 choice for all the travel lovers who want to keep record of all the countries/cities visited and the future trips! I did a little homework buying a wood frame, some cork and photo safe adhesive spray to do my own framing. Of course is very difficult to add every single city on this map due to its size, but with some creativity you can always add detailed info to your project. I'm still working on mine, here are some pictures and ideas. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. I purposely left and empty cork space on the right side to save all the pins and tags and attach some pin flags I buy on every country I visit Suggestion: When scratching, do it very softly because you may scratch the colored surface below. Also if you want complete and absolute geography precision, this map is not the one....

Impressed

My son & daughter in-law have been traveling a lot since they have been married for vacations. I thought this would be perfect xmas gift. When this arrived I must admit I was impressed. This is very good quality, very detailed map....The only thing I don't like is the little guy on the bottom of the map. Me personally if I where to frame this I wouldn't want the little guy on my map. Now, would it stop me from framing this map not at all. I'm not gonna give this less stars because of that, it's that nice.

Weird size

I got this for my boyfriends dad who was in the Navy and travelled a bunch. He is super pleased with it. Just be warned, impossible to find a frame for.

Weird size for framing, but totally worth it!

I tried to find a standard frame size and it was impossible to find one that worked. I had this map framed at Michael's without glass.The framers mounted it on a board with no glass so I can scratch off with each trip. It really made the map stand out!

Great product!

Love this map it’s big enough to see just about everything. Some countries/ states are smaller than others so it’s hard to scratch them off without hitting another. I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend since we love to travel and we’ve had a blast scratching them off. It’s not a normal size poster so you’ll have to have a frame made to it’s size but your local craft store should be able to help you with that. We love it and the quality is good and we’ve had no issues thus far! I highly recommend this item for avid travelers!
