This takoyaki pan works very well. I'm a first-time takoyaki maker and found this very easy to use. First attempt at making takoyaki I used a spray bottle of vegetable oil to coat the hot pan. The batter didn't stick at all and the batter was easy to turn. My second attempt, forgot the vegetable oil. My initial thought was "oh no" but the non-stick coating of this product came through. The batter was almost as easy to turn as the oiled version. The non-stick coating saved that batch of takoyaki for sure. Would highly recommend this product if it fits the amount of takoyaki you plan on making! FYI: Also recommend Nissin Japanese Takoyaki Powder 17.64oz. The specific bag I bought was 100g batch and in my experience filled this grill pan perfectly. Removed the the need to measure or worry about too much/little batter.

I am a vegetarian and was looking for a pan just like this but was skeptical to order online as often we are not sure of the quality. I must say , that this is one of the best purchases ever ! Being a mom of 2 kids , I like to invest in easy to cook & easy to clean kitchen ware. Before first use I , hand-washed the pan with mild soap & soft sponge. I dried it and coated it with think layer of oil using a silicon brush and allowed it to get hot for about 2-3 mins. Then I added batter & waited.. now the biggest test was to see if it would turn without sticking ! And YES !! it was perfect! I was able to easily turn it over using bamboo sticks and it was golden & crusty. It is super easy to use & very-very easy to clean. I am going to order one more to gift to my mom.

Great product I wanted to make Takoyaki at home after visiting Japan, this product fulfills my need. I use a portable gas stove at low heat for this. Non-stick coating works well for making takoyaki. Makes 1 1/2' Takoyaki balls Easy to clean

This pan is very easy to use. Even on my first try the takoyaki turned out awesome. The pan is non-stick making it easy to turn the takoyaki while cooking, and quick to clean. It is exactly the same size as my standard gas stove top burners. So it fits perfectly and all the takoyaki cook evenly. The size of the takoyaki it makes are comparable to the size I've seen sold at numerous restaurants, so no issues there. It shipped promptly. Which was great, because I was counting down the hours to try it out! ♥ Bottom line: The pan works exactly as intended and has no apparent cons. Recommend!

I’m very happy with the pan, it cooks great and comes with an easy recipe for making the takoyaki. It’s nonstick and a substantial pan. Although the purpose of it is for takoyaki, i’ve made mini cakes using it (like mini pancake), it goes on my electric stove and heated evenly. Definitely recommend this pan.

Cheap and worth it. We've used the pan seven times now I'm only a month time over a portable gas flame. The trick to delicious takoyaki is to add a lot of oil. I'd say this pan is worth the $13 bucks I paid. Totally awesome!

We took a cooking class in Japan and used a takoyaki pan. I wanted to have one of my own at home and ordered this product. I works well have had no problems, we use it over a gas stove. As with any pan in the kitchen make sure your using it properly and you will get a nice result.

This works perfectly on a flat top (not induction) electric stove. I took out my gas camping stove because everything on line said that you had to use gas for a takoyaki pan--but this pan has a squared-off bottom ring that rests right on the cooktop. It heats up well and is non stick--easy to clean and rolls the takoyaki easily. It was my first try with takoyaki and this pan made it easy and fun.

I use this for Danish Ableskivers. They are smaller but it works better than my cast iron pan. I wish I had a few of these because you can cook them much quicker this way!

We use this pan to make Poffertjes, little Dutch pancakes and haven’t tried to make takoyaki yet. Easy to clean, great value and heats up evenly. Light and a lot easier to maintain and store than cast iron.
