A missing piece in my pool cleaning experience. Awesome stuff. keeps pool clean for a very long time. one downside is that it is not made very durable. I had to change it few times. I have a feeling the manufacturer keeps it flimsy for a reason so people buy more of it. Waiting for a competitor to make a stronger and more lasting socks.

Um...wow. I’ve been battling pollen for two years and losing. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars trying to get it out of my pool and keep it from settling on the bottom after passing through my filter. I bought these after reading about pollen socks and the attached picture was what it caught after just one night. After a few days I noticed the amount of pollen on the pool floor was reduced, the water was getting clearer and I’m still on my first sock. I live in a high pollen area with plenty of wind and I’m amazed that this simple thing has made such a huge impact.

They arrived very quickly. They fit well & I have not had any problems with them tearing or getting sucked down into the tube or filter. My pool pump is an Intex newer version and it is somewhere over 3,000 gallons power. I have been using one for about a week it seems to be a very good product... Mainly I have an issue with small bugs, flies, gnats, excessive corn pollen. there are no trees around my property I am surrounded by farmland. so far so good. Some have suggested that they would put the sock on the basket housing then put the basket in I'm not too sure if this would work although on the Intex filter you have an issue with bugs slipping around the basket and plugging up the actual pump where the hose screws into it. If this would work I will get back to you.

We live in the northeast and we open the pool early, April. This year I was changing the filter medium (we have a DE filter) every day. Crazy. So I went in search of a cure on Amazon and found this absolutely perfect medicine, a filter basket sock that will catch the really tiny particles of anything coming off the trees this time of year. It fit perfectly and the next day sure enough the socks were coated in yellow brown. I took them off, rinsed them out and put them back on. Yep more yellow brown substance being trapped by the socks. Certainly better there than in the DE filter. So, every day I'll rinse out or replace the socks until the spring season is over. Then again I will probably just leave them in for the whole pool season, why not? Sometimes the sock will when you first put it on will float to the top. Just squeeze out the air (under the water) and it will go right to the bottom where it belongs. And, the price is right too. No complaints at all. Thanks Impresa, what else do you have?

There’s absolutely no reason not to use a skimmer sock to make things easier on your filter cartridges. The fabric is very strong and it flexes easily over the basket. Our pool catches a great degree of pollen and silt as our yard is on an elevated pitch next to a sizeable garden. After only a few hours (upon pool opening) these socks caught a large amount of silt and pollen that would have otherwise taxed our cartridges and pump. Solid product - fair price - money saver.

I ordered these thinking they might catch some loose debris and take a tiny bit of pressure off my filter grids when opening the pool this year. I can not believe how effective these are at filtering out pollen, dirt, and debris! They far exceeded my expectations. I have a DE filter and about 5 years ago I replaced the grids myself with some cheaper ones I found online. They are good but I ordered grids that were half the size of the original ones, so unfortunately I have to clean them off several times when I open the pool each year, simply because they get clogged up really quickly. After the initial opening is complete, the grids are enough to handle the rest of the season, so typically I can keep the pool on recirculate, bypassing the filter all together and just rely on shocking, maintenance chlorine, and ph/alkalinity balance. Occasionally I'll use some clarifier if the water gets cloudy. So the strain on the pool grids is minimum once I am up and running. But this year I used these socks in addition to my regular pool opening routine. They decreased the amount of times I needed to clean the filter grids off. I have the clearest water I have ever had! It's crazy clear. And yet these little socks keep picking up pollen, sand, hair, bugs, etc. I'm down to cleaning them twice a day by removing them and rinsing off the gunk, then replacing it back on the skimmer basket. I honestly think they are amazing and a GREAT product. I'm wondering if eventually they'll stop picking up that yellow/brown stuff or if this is going to continue throughout the season. As others have mentioned, do not put your chlorine tablets in with the socks as they eat a hole in the sock within a few hours. I bought a floating dispenser and I actually like not having to empty out the chlorine tablets before dealing with the skimmer basket any way. Thanks for making this product!

This product is amazing.. We have a Kayak above ground pool and have been battling the high pollen. Filter has been changed twice since opening Mid May. The water has been murky and could not get it clear. I put one of the liners in the basket and after only one day, the pool water is clearer. The sock picked up all the pollen so it didn't recycle through the filter. I've attached a gross picture of what the sock collected. One bit of advice, make sure you secure the sock with the basket clip, otherwise, I think it could get sucked into the filter because it is so light weight

I purchased the 20 pack for experimental use and right away I observed quality. While discretely packaged in a typical zip lock style bag, I opened it to reveal that each sock is placed inside the other, so that you can pull the singularly without having them all separated and trying to shove them back into the bag. As for the application - a cinch - I have a B-9 basket and by placing the chlorine tabs into the basket first, I don't have to fish out pieces of tablet later. It catches the very small debris, bugs, etc. that normally pass through all of my screens and end up in my sand filter. Easy to clean - just invert shake and rinse off. Here's my favorite part: reuse it! Can go many times over before having to reach for a new sock. Highly recommended!

These really help reduce the finer plant/tree leaves, pollen, bugs and other tiny thing from getting into the filter pump. Saves changing the filter as often. We're using with standard above ground Intex pool skimmer. Very stretchy but snug - fits well and hasn't came off. You do need to change them - just keep an eye every couple weeks - saltwater/chlorine is hard on them.

They fit well and work well. I've had issues this year and last with small debris getting through the skimmers and filter (mostly sand) and ending up on the bottom of the pool. It's been nice to see all of the little stuff getting trapped by the socks. I did have to do one thing differently from the picture, though. My skimmers have grab bars through the middle, so I remove the bars, install the sock, and then put the bar back in, being careful not to snag or put too much strain on the sock.
