Like many other reviewers, I bought this after trying the gold filament from this manufacturer. My prints from the gold filament have a wonderful golden-like luster to them. Trouble is, I think that filament arrived with moisture in it; All prints from it have heavy blobs and "zits" on them. Also the filament balloons up when fed through the nozzle (i.e. during filament loading). If anyone else has had this experience with the GOLD filament, do share it with me. Now as I said in the title, prints from this silver filament aren't quite as eye-popping as prints from the gold filament. BUT! They still look amazing. This filament is also more stable than the gold filament; Only an occasional blob or zit on prints, and the filament doesn't balloon up when it's loaded through the nozzle. I've not had any clogging or other extrusion issues with either gold or silver filament, and I intend to replace both of them when I use each of them up.

I wanted a filament that looked like actual silver and not just a bright dull grey and this filament fits the bill. I will be buying more of it soon. The picture shows the Silk Silver print on the left compared to regular Pla silver on the right.

I had already bought their silky gold filament, which I love, so I decided to try the silver next, and I'm really not disappointed at all. The prints come out really silver, bright and shiny, not the only slightly shiny gray from other "silver" filaments (I've tried 3 different brands so far). Check out the picture, the cube on the left was printed with this silk silver and the one on the right is a Hatchbox silver. I did not use flash, was just standing by the window. This filament really catches the light. Definitely buying more of this in the future.

Once you get the settings right you will find no better looking silver. This is not gray or clear with glitter. The Gold is just as good. The material is a bit brittle off the roll but the parts are not any more brittle when printed. This can cause the feed wheel teeth to grind away under pressure and if you have rapid retraction. I run this at 225-235 and have my roll suspended over the machine. A side feed will tend to add to the resistance on the feed wheel. Sounds like a pain but it is well worth the exceptional parts

So far, I'm very happy with this 1.75mm "Silk Silver" colored filament. It's exactly the color I am looking for to replicate a realistic metallic look while still using PLA. It has similar sheen as a decent silver spray paint.

I printed out some leg risers for our nightstands. The robotic vacuum kept getting stuck. These were printed at 15% infill. I might make some more that are a little more dense. I needed 8 of them so I was going light to try out my Fusion 360 creation. This stuff stuck very well to my magnetic build plate. No issues so far. Pretty color doesn’t show up in the photos, but it’s very silvery. I noticed on silk PLAs that the lighter the infill, the more metallic the color. Used the QIDI X-Plus printer 195/50 C .2mm resolution These risers are 68mm x 68mm with a -25mm deep extruded rectangle for the legs to be seated. I hope that makes sense to modelers out there. Overall very satisfied with the performance of this filament. I will definitely be ordering some more. I know that not all printers are created equal, but mine loves this one. By the way, QIDI printers are somewhat similar to Flashforge, only better in my opinion. If these work well, I’ll post the file on Thingiverse.

I found great frustration with printing on a Direct Drive Feed Extruder (Monoprice Maker Select or Wanhao i3) this material would expand prematurely in the all metal extruder and clog frequently. On a Bowden Type printer (Creality Ender 3, Monoprice Mini Delta) this material was GREAT ! and printing at minimum of 195c provided the best performance with no clogging.

I liked the results of their Silk Gold so I thought I would give this a shot and was not disappointed. The finish resembles polished aluminum when the settings are right.
