• EASY TO USE - To use this device it is as easy as slowly sliding the Tick Key the device will do all of the work to remove the tick from your pet or your own skin by removing the entire tick from the head back.
  • MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS - Great for pets or humans alike. We all enjoy the outdoors, but those ticks can really strike fear into us all. Knowing that you have Tick Key by your side to remove any unwanted "travelers" helps to put your worries aside.
  • IT'S NOT JUST ABOUT LYME DISEASE - By properly eliminating the tick as soon as possible, you reduce the risk of contracting a tick born disease such as Lyme disease, Colorado tick fever, Heartland Virus, Rocky Mountain spotted Fever (RMSF) and more (see more details on this in the description section below)
  • HIKERS, CAMPERS, PET OWNERS, SPORT PLAYERS AND FANS all need Tick Key. Keep one in your purse, your tackle box or your back pack.
  • MADE IN THE USA- Each key measures 2.6"

I am so pleased with how this tick remover works! This has been a very active year for ticks (still is), and since my cats can go outside, they pick them up regularly, especially the long-haired white one, who seems to be a tick magnet. The poor guy put up with me pulling ticks off him with my fingers, but sometimes chunks of his fur came with them, and tweezers were worse, because sometimes they would leave the head. I am so happy I decided to try this these Tick Keys. Use them the way it says in the instructions, by slipping it over the tick, then pull straight back, not up, and so far, they have worked every time. The only one happier then me are the cats! Great product!

Fantastic. Within one week of receiving these, my 3-year-old had a deer tick bite her. Fortunately we discovered it within hours, but the tick was so tiny I thought removing it would be difficult. Nope! This tool worked quickly and easily, just as advertised, and lifted the tick right off- safely, the correct way! We've used them on dog and deer ticks, on humans and pets, works like a charm. We now have one on each key chain and one in the first aid kit. (If this review was helpful for you, please give it a "thumbs up" below, thanks!)

I thought I was getting this to use on my dog, but the morning after it arrived I felt something on my knee & found a small reddish tick, which luckily had not dig in too deeply yet. Using the Tick Key was so much easier than my attempts with tweezers in the past. Even though I was nervous, and had never used it before. Tick came out completely intact, and even crawling around. I had to kill it with a alcohol-soaked cotton ball. Best purchase of the year! Wish I could show the video- so fast & easy! It didn't hurt, but again it hadn't gotten deep yet.

I hand these things out to friends like I'm running for mayor and always keep one on my key chain. If you find everything about ticks wildly repulsive (and I do), this is the way to go. Easy to operate no matter how creeped out you are. Just pull the tick with the key, stick the tick directly to a piece of tape, and toss the tape. You never have to touch the tick, and no recurring nightmares about whether or not the tick escaped the tissue and got out of the trash can back into your house. If I'm that freaked out by ticks and can use this, you can too.

These work great on dogs, (people too) ticks pop right off. I have the kind of dog who sometimes bites when he’s being poked or prodded in some way, or is having ticks removed, and the tick key speeds up the process and makes it so much easier, I don’t get bit, he doesn’t freak out. Tip for use with dogs: it’s easiest to get the tick through the hole the first time if you move the tick key against the grain of the fur onto the tick. Super simple to use. I keep one on the same keychain as my car keys; I am paranoid about parasites and these are awesome. Pulls out the head just like it claims. I’ve used it on one dog other than mine (mine is a Jack Russel), and the babysat-dog’s fur was quite a bit longer, not long exactly, but more of a fluffy, medium length fur, and that’s where hooking the tick against the grain of the hair comes in. She’s also a biter upon tick removal, (even worse than my dog) and I did not get bit! I own more than three of these, I keep them scattered everywhere.

I carry one in my pocket during tick season. It takes out the entire tick easily without compressing the tick's body, which I always fear may squeeze germs from the tick back into the dog. About 10% of the time, a tick is in a location where I cannot get it with this kind, even by pinching the skin to provide a firm "floor" and expose the tick. For those occasions I have the other kind, which is plastic with a V-shaped grabber and a little handle, like the "Tick remover twister tool". But you can carry the metal tick key easily in pocket or on key ring, so this is my main tool. If you have to get up after spotting an attached tick, and go get the remover, you may not be able to find the tick again especially on a large furry dog like a mastiff. Of course these removers all work on ticks that have gotten attached to a human too, so if you live or get out into tick country you should have one of these even if you have no dog. There are an increasing number of tick-borne diseases that we humans can get, in addition to the well-known Lyme disease. Getting a tick off ASAP and cleanly is vital. Avoidance, looking over yourself and pets, and removal, that's what we need to do. At least for Lyme disease it seems that it is not transmitted during the first 24 hours that the tick is attached, so even if it has latched onto you there is a window of safety.

These tick removal keys work great. My husband and I each keep one on our car keys and then we keep the third in the bathroom because unfortunately in the shower is where I find most of the ticks. If the tick has already bitten you, you just place the circle key hole around it's body pressing it tightly up against your skin and then you slide it until it's head is caught securely in the pointy part of the key hole. At that point you lift the key away from the skin and it should pull the tick right out. If this doesn't work try sliding the key in the other direction. This little tool always helps me get the tick heads out; whereas I've had many tick heads break off and stay stuck in the skin when we've tried removing them with tweezers in the past. Once the tick is out though it's still alive so make sure to burn it or flush it down the toilet or otherwise safely dispatch of it. I have also gifted these tools to friends in the past and recommended them to others. I have not tried them on animals only humans. They last pretty much forever.

I work with a mosquito and vector control district where we are responsible for tick control. Ticks, in our part of the woods, are only a problem during the winter when it rains, as it is too dry during the summer to be a bother. But given the number of nasty diseases ticks can transmit, it is a good idea to check yourself regularly if you have been in forest land or tall grass. And if you find a tick on you, or your pet, it is important to get it off as soon as possible. This device, although very simple looking, is excellent for the removal of ticks. You just put the large hole flat against the skin and slide it toward to small hole, dislodging tick. One problem with using tweezers or other manual methods of removal is that they can leave the mouth parts, and hence the infective material, in the body. This device removes the entire tick….mouth parts and all. My entire family has these on their key rings (or will after Christmas) and I recommend that anyone who lives in a tick infested area to obtain these for their family.

We've purchased nine of these now (keys, not packs), one for each car, one for the camper, one for each keychain, and one for each floor of the house, with a few to spare. With kids who love to play in the weeds and woods and yard, and a dog who loves to carry ticks in for those of us who don't pick them up on our own, these tick keys have been immensely handy AND they're actually pretty cool looking, in a 50s rainbow aluminum kind of way.

I learned about the tick key from a vet tech when I took one of our barn cats to be neutered. He had 8 ticks and the tech whipped out her tick key and quickly and efficiently removed all 8 ticks who were in various states of inflation. I came home and ordered the set of three. I kept one at home, one at the barn and gave one to my sis who has 3 cats. We have used all three tick keys and they have worked perfectly each and every time on the first try. You never have to touch the tick and the cats who we have used them on seemed completely unfazed. Definitely recommend!!
