Works great on my D3400

This is a really neat lens. Works great on my D3400. I just got into photography and have already taken some pretty cool pictures with it.

Fantastic fisheye lens for the money.

The Opteka 6.5mm fisheye is a great value for the money spent. This is one of your cheapest options for a DSLR fisheye, yet is built with relatively good quality. This is a manual focus lens, but do not let that be the deciding factor. The focus ring operates very smoothly, but everything is typically in focus so I rarely find myself adjusting this. It only opens to f/3.5 and it retains the best clarity at f/5.6, so it is pretty bad when it comes to low light condition. However, it does very well it bright rooms or day shooting outside. This is a perfect option for someone that wants to learn how to use fisheye lenses or someone that just does not use fisheyes often, but wants to have one in their bag.

Exactly as described. I haven't used it very much yet, but the few pictures I did take were pretty cool. I took a picture of a group of people & everybody later made comments how they couldn't figure out how I was taking a picture of the group standing so close. I'm sure they thought I wasn't getting all the kids in the picture, but they loved it. ... something different than the norm.!! Quality seems to be pretty good for the price.

Well Pleased So Far

I have taken a few pictures with the lens so far and have been well pleased. My Nikon D3100 has to be in manual mode but that is how I used to shoot when I used 35mm. It will just be a matter of remembering. I have been very impressed so far and look forward to being back on the trails in the mountains to get those great high peak panorama shots.
