amazing unit for the money

just redid the den and bought new entertainment unit. My expensive high end sony reciever wont fit in unit. This onkyo blows my expensive unit out of the water. It doesnt have the settings and adjustments of my old unit but so what. The price for what you get is amazing. The setup was simple. The sound is incredible and dare i say it sounds better than my old sony. 200 bucks incredible price. now i hope its durable.

It is a great product it replaced the RCA Receiver I bought from Walmart, that kept cutting off when surround sound got to much. This product was easy to set up now I am hearing sounds I never heard before..

It makes the picture on the tv much clearer. I'm hearing things in movies that iv never heard before. Great reciever for the money im glad i bought it. Buy it you wont be dissapionted!

Fantastic. Stop serching, this is it.

It is hard for me to find a con for this receiver. At this price and it getting here before it was supposed. Then the sound it puts out made this one of my best and favorite purchase so far this year. Want good sounding music and not spend a fortune? This is the unit you want. This is what I bought to hook to my computers. And it was a great choice.

Powerhouse AV reciever with very detailed sound

I paired two 6ohm tower speakers with this and found that it pushed them very efficiently and the sound was amazing after i got around to adjusting crossover settings and other speaker configurations. It definitely has no issues playing these speakers nice and loud! Really clean and powerful sound that ive always experienced with onkyo! Cant wait untill my powered 15” subwoofer comes in for this thing! Bluetooth works awesome with suprisingly good BT range. IMO the audio output from a bluetooth device compared to the FM tuner is miles apart. The clarity in the music in bluetooth mode is just so satisfying and filling. For anyone looking into a home theater reciever or even a nice radio for a living room or mancave or garage, this thing has the power to do it all. And the reviews that say the sound could be better are from people who arent taking advantage of the sound adjustment features this reciever offers. As long as you have speakers that keep up with its 155w/ channel, then youll be fine playing this all day long!

Very good all-purpose receiver for home theater and stereo.

So far so good -- I bought this receiver as a part of a home theater upgrade. I also wanted a receiver that would do good at basic audio for streaming music and CDs. This unit has the features I wanted, most significantly among them Bluetooth. I use Amazon Prime Music and Pandora as my music source, and get very good quality audio that way. I'm still working on the theater configuration so I will be playing with all the features over the next few weeks. For the price this receiver cannot be beat!!!

Great replacement for the old one

This unit is KILLER! Very pleased with this for the money. My 8 year old Onkyo died and it wasn't worth trying to fix it. This one is twice the unit that was, and was so easy to set up! Paired with a Samsung BD-JM57C Blue Ray player and it was literally rattling decorations off the wall in the other room with the sound only at 60% and the active sub-woofer up only 1/2 way. Used all the same old speakers and sub-woofer from the old one, just replaced the receiver. Highly recommend this.

I needed a basic feature receiver for a basement bedroom. I had retired 1980s and 90s TV\DVD\CD players and used those older speakers. This replacement was relatively inexpensive, Setup and operation similar to another Onkyo receiver I use in the living room (an import aspect to my purchase), Connects essential HDTV, DVD player and FM radio using ample HDMI ports.

Easier setup.

This purchase replaced our old Onkyo that we got 12 years ago. The other one worked great but the lighting that struck the tree in the back yard took its toll on a lot of the electronics in the house. I was looking for similar features we had on our old Onkyo with some upgrades. Setting up this Onkyo was pretty easy. Much simpler than the old one.
