Words Great
Worked great on my BMW.just tighten and use ratchet to loosen tie rod remember to look online for instructions for your car or truck mine had a washer that was bent over end of tie rod to lock in place you have to use a chisel or screwdriver to straighten it before you can remove tie rod pictures of tool show diameter of tie rod it will fit GOOD LUCK

This is the best inner tie rod tool in the history of the universe!
Simply the most effective tool to remove stubborn inner tie rods. I went though tool after tool trying to get a good set up, but nothing actually worked, and spent tons of time, money, etc. Even the more expensive Lisle tools didn't work. Alas, i thought I would try this little tool. It is less than $15 so didn't have anything to lose. This tool grips on tight to the inner tie rod, then you use a strong wrench and it comes right off. Amazing! I even torqued to spec with my digital toque wrench. This is the best inner tie rod tool in the history of the universe!

Good cheap alternitive
worked to remove my inner tie rod end on 03 silverado. found that a 1 1/2" open end wrench works better and 1 1/2 claw worked for torquing it down. Also a large adjustable pipe wrench worked for removal just as good..... but not for install because it tears up the metal a bit.... as a tool junkie it looked like something I should have hanging on my tool wall....

Great tool, much better than the others.
This tool worked so much better than other tie rod tools. With this tool, there's no need to remove the outer tie rod, which helps setting up the new tie rods. To use, disconnect the outer tie rod, then remove the rubber tie rod boot (I usually cut it off then replace it). This tool slides over the whole tie rod and is tightened onto the inner tie rod. To make it easier, turn the steering wheel all the way in the opposite direction to extend the tie rod all the way out on the side your working on. Use a couple 3/8 extentions if you need more clearance. Be aware that the included nuts will take a beating, so go to the hardware store and get a couple pairs of replacements for the future. I will never go back to using any other tool.

Affordable and Easy to Use
Although this just looks like a muffler clamp with inner serrations and a 3/8" square hole, it worked perfectly to loosen the inner tie rod ends from the rack in my 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. Although the original inner tie rod ends had flat areas that you could use the "traditional", tube-shaped inner tie rod removal tool (with removable "crow's foot" inserts), the replacement parts did not, so that traditional tool would have been useless. This tool was able to grip the "cup" of the inner end to facilitate final installation (you can hand-tighten up to a certain point but need a tool to finish). (Remember to use Lock-tite when installing the new inner tie rod ends.) You have to really tighten the nuts on this tool to make sure that it grips the inner tie rod end cup securely so it doesn't slip. You may need some 3/8" extensions and maybe a breaker bar to loosen the inner tie rod end. Overall, I would recommend this tool. It is inexpensive (especially if you are only going to use it once or twice--how many times do you need to change the INNER tie rod ends during the lifetime of your vehicle?), easy to use, and doesn't take up a lot of space if you decide to keep it in your tool bag. It might actually also have a second life as a muffler clamp.

It works
easy to use and it works great. Very inexpensive way to remove and install an inner tie rod end that has no flats to put a wrench on. But it will work with flats also. I got this tool to do a tie rod that was round and smooth. Nothing to tighten up with. this tool was able to hold on and torque the tie rod so that I know it will stay on. The first time I used it and it already more than paid for itself. Thank you

Inexpensive, strong and works perfectly.
Used this for inner tie rods on a 2003 Honda pilot but it should fit many vehicles. I had trouble straightening the washer when removing the old part so I had to apply a good amount of force to get it loose. The tool did not slip at all. It may look like an exhaust clamp but it is much more solid than one. Only drawback was having to reposition it to turn the tierod a bit farther but even that was not a big deal.

Worked great, easy to use
Worked great! I used it on a 1999 Toyota RAV4 inner tie rods. I was a bit nervous because of the geometry having the torque applied to the side rather than in the middle like a traditional inner tie rod removal tool. Also you use a 3/8” extension to turn it which I thought might be too small because you need to apply a lot of torque to break it loose and I was worried I’d snap the extension. So with my 24” long 3/8” extension bar and a breaker bar I gave it constant steady pressure, continuously increasing until “ping” it broke loose and was able to hand spin it off the rest of the way. The second side was just as easy. Great little tool at a great price and easy to use.

Very satisfied
Very happy with this tool I just used it for replacing inner tie rod ends on a 2008 Chevy Cobalt, it worked great I highly recommend using long extensions when braking the inner tie rod loose. Also do not over tighten nuts I could see them stripping fairly easily, get them snug and 1/2 turn more. I used it for removal and installation, it can get hung up after you've taken off the nuts simply tap the end with the hammer and it'll come off.
