I bought these for testing amplifiers in a current limited setting and I love them! I had previously bought some others frm another vendor here on Amazon but they used very thin wire and were crimped on each end. After about 2 months they started to fall apart and lose connection. These however are about twice as thick and are not only crimped at each end, but the wire is also folder over the base of the clip and SOLDERED in place!! :) I run them at 3-5A of continuous load for about an hour at a time both providing amplifiers with power and for dumping the amplifier output to 10ohm dummy resistors.

I do a lot of scale modeling and I was looking for some test wires to prototype simple LED circuits with. These cables fit the bill perfectly and are a breeze to setup and pack up. I don't have much else to say about them, they do exactly what they say they do, and I'd definitely recommend them

BUY THESE! These are great wires - appear to big bigger than 20g wire, thick insulation, SOLDERED and crimped connections, good clamps. Shipping was fast. Much better than the cheap sets I had before - By far the best set I have ever bought

These arrived a day after order. As advertised: 20.5in, qty 10. I really like the fact that the wire connection to the alligator is actually soldered, not just crimped like cheaper test leads. I've found over decades of using test leads that soldered connections are far more reliable. Package says 22AWG and I have no reason to doubt that although I did not sacrifice one to check. 22AWG should be good for about 7amps - don't try and start your car with these, obviously :) The only slightly negative aspect I could find is that the alligator clip itself is attracted to a magnet so it is ferrous metal, maybe steel with a plating. Not really an issue unless you are concerned about corrosion. I anticipate I will get years of good service from these test leads.

It is sad that we have to post reviews of alligator clip test leads because the knockoffs are so bad! These appear to be the real deal. They work as they are supposed to. These test leads have real 22awg wire with real insulation (not the fake, super thin, plasticky wires in knockoffs), the connections are properly soldered and crimped as strain reliefs (exactly like the photos posted by another reviewer), and the clips work exactly as they should.

Hi.. Asked to write a review..It easy when you like the product..I actually teach electronics..and these test leads allow me to fast connect various components already mounted on a board to learn and test..Quick connect on quick connect off NO Soldering special connect device needed to test..If you get real crazy..you can probably make a quick connect and solider the end for something of a permanent connection..if regular wiring is too much..The colored ends help with tracing a lead, end to end..I purchased 2 packages of these connectors..and to me it was a good buy..with a good working AWG size.. Mave

Parts received (we had posted a question about whether the clips were soldered). They are indeed soldered and seem very well made. Nice clips, well worth the price. Wire feels like copper, too (some other clipleads have wire that feel stiff like maybe plated steel). Kind of wish we had ordered the 5-pack of these, could've thrown away all the junky-made clips that were already here from earlier purchases.

I like to measure and test Li-ion batteries on my spare time. Often times PACK battery or any irregular shaped batteries (i.e. phone battery) does not fit in the cylindrical shape battery holder. So far I have been using these leads to make the connection between cells and the battery analyzer and it's been rock solid. Wires are actually soldered to the clips just like shown on the picture and I have not found any damaged strands from improper shield stripping. Quite impressed by the attention to detail.

As technician of 43 years I’ve seen the good, the bad and the ugly in accessories, equipment, hardware you name it. These are a great value. I suspect they will hold up well. I immediately cut one of the ends of several leeds for a specialized jumper plug with flying Leeds, so I had a good chance to check the wire gauge and quality, good deal. I suppose you could pay more, but here you don’t need too. Thumbs up on the delivery and sellers.

They are wires with an alligator clip on each end. Each tested fine. I left durability unrated since I just received them. I've seen messed up jumpers - usually when the alligator clip gets crushed, or someone cut the clip off to use with...um...some kind of smoking material. But they're really hard to screw up. I'll assume that the request for this "review" was automated because I can't imagine that any sane person would be requesting such a silly thing. If you're looking for jumper wires - these are them! They work! I hope you're having a nice day, wherever you are. I'm in Virginia Beach, where it's clear and 83 degrees. Cooler, tomorrow, they say. Bye for now.
