This is definitely "heavy" duty! Worked like a champ and made perfect circular holes for my cornhole boards. I used this two different ways: First, I did it in REVERSE. Run FORWARD first to get the pilot hole cut and then REVERSE direction. Using it this way cuts a perfect hole but takes quite a bit of time. Second, I used it in REVERSE to get a nice clean circular edge first and then stopped and ran it in FORWARD. No problem! You can run this hole saw in FORWARD but make absolutely certain you are using a LIGHT TOUCH! It cut just fine without binding or grabbing. Also, I used it in a 3/4 inch heavy duty "corded" drill. I wouldn't recommend this for a light duty battery drill as it is heavy and you have to get it going a decent speed to get a nice, smooth cut. So, there you go! Good luck if you get one!

I bought this hole saw to cut a 6" hole into a piece of 1/2" plywood. This hole saw cut a 6" hole into that 1/2" piece of plywood and then another one. I dont see it having any issues in the future cutting more 6" holes into things that I might find that need 6" holes in them. I would recommend to anyone that needs a 6" hole cut into a piece of wood. The GoSports 6" hole saw does not fill holes, however. Unless the hole you need filled is owning a 6" hole saw - in which case, this should do the trick.

This hole saw works as it is supposed to. Not much to say other than it's well built and does the job it was designed to do. I don't understand the negative reviews I've seen on this tool. It just works what more could you ask for. Thanks!

Hesitant at first, but this really makes nice holes for my corn hole projects. This has some heft to it, not flimsy at all. The arbor is well made also, and attaches smoothly. With a saw this large, I simply centered my bit, and then let the saw cut. I used slight pressure, with just the weight of my drill and hands and it cut cleanly and smoothly, nice and slow speed. With my big 1/2" drill I did have to use the extra handle, as there is a lot or torque while cutting. The plugs took a bit of coaxing to get out, but the hole was perfectly round, and centered where I wanted it. After 4 holes (2 sets) it still looks fresh.

The design of this hole saw was much better than I thought. It uses two rods that keep the saw blade in place, this prevents the saw from tightening onto the mandrel. I have only used it on one set of boards so far, but it shows no damage only some paint has been removed, which is expected. I would definitely recommend this to someone making cornhole boards. I have done two sets free hand and this is worth the money!

I bought this for one thing... to make my own corn hole set. It works perfect for cutting the hole in 3/4 inch plywood. I highly recommend using a corded drill to use it. The cordless drills do not have a lot of torque for using such a large hole saw. The hole size was percent and very clean. Will use again for sure if I am making more corn hole sets.

Used this hole saw for Cornhole Boards. The pilot bit is 1/4-inch. I would recommend clamping a thick backer board to your project and pre-drilling a 1/4-inch hole through the cornhole board and well into the backer board using a separate 1/4-inch bit. This will assure a straighter cut when you use the 6-inch hole hole saw and will stop "blowout" when the hole saw cuts through the cornhole board. This a a big bit. Use two hands and a corded drill if you have one for added power.

This did the job cutting through 3/4" birch plywood for my cornhole board. Cut through both boards like butter. Definitely worth it if you want a perfect 6 inch hole

I ordered this hole saw precisely for what it was advertised; to make a six inch hole in my corn hole boards. Works great and will fit in a 3/8" drill. It fits better in a 1/2" drill, but mine worked fine. I drilled slowly and let the bit do the work because the 6" cut can be awkward. You need to steady the drill with both hands as the hole saw can catch if you don't drill straight down but that is only being careful and smart.

I needed a more precise method for cutting a hole for a home made set of corn hole boards and this saw worked perfectly. Slow steady pressure and speed along with doing a quick reverse cut as noted in another review did the trick. It also helped to use a bigger drill with a side handle. If you are building corn hole boards, this is a must have tool and well worth the $20 investment.
