I couldn’t resist. Ouch, I did it again. Okay, enough of that. I have had TENS therapy twice before in the past at doctors’ offices. Once for a neck injury after a motorcycle crash and again by a chiropractor who was treating a pinched nerve that was causing tingling and numbness in my fingers. Both times I found the treatment soothing and pleasing. I am confident that it did accelerate my recovery from the neck injury and did no harm at the chiropractor. What I did not expect was that I would ever be able to get this kind of relief at home. Let me state unequivocally that this little device is every bit as powerful and helpful as the ones used in those treatments. I suspect that it is actually more powerful, but I can’t confirm because I haven’t been able go any higher than one tick past the half way setting. I have used this to intercept a tension head ache, to alleviate the tightness of a strained back, to soothe tight, sore muscles after a vigorous gym work out (you know it is the second day after that gets you) and just as a pleasing massage. Not to mention the fun of torturing my young adult son. This thing will cause involuntary muscle movement at an intensity level of less than half of the range. The parts seem well made. The clips to the pads are firm, the cables are shielded in a rubbery, plastic insulator that seems like it will hold up to reasonable use, and the control unit does not feel like cheap materials. The battery delivers many hours of treatment between charges. It came with three pairs of pads, two of which can be used at a time. The intensity, but not the program, can be independently controlled for each pair. It also included one cable and pad protector. Since you can use two sets at the same time, it seems like a second pad protector would make more sense so you can keep the sticky/slimy side of the pads tacky for as many repeated uses as possible. I have been sticking one set of pads to the protector and the other to the front and back of the controller. And maybe that is what they intended. I cannot testify to it’s actual longevity, however, because it does not withstand the chewing of a determined puppy that believes that anything he can get out the doggie door belongs to him. Which is why I am back here ordering a new one. I didn’t want to go a week without it and at this price to value, I won’t hesitate to buy again. *No sons or puppies where harmed in the making of this review.

I've used a number of TENS units over the years, many of which were prescribed by my physician(s) at the time. This unit outperforms them all. When I assess a TENS unit, I do so on the basis of only a few key variables. I look at (1) the durability of the unit itself, (2) the perceived quality of the components, most importantly the wires and pads (e.g., is it difficult to fasten the wires to the pads? Do the pads adhere well, and does the adhesive remain intact for a reasonable period of time?), (3) The electrical current the device delivers, looking at both the strength as well as the level of precise control, and (4) the ease of use"(i.e., is the device's interface "user-friendly?"). Obviously, the price point is also a consideration, but only insofar as whether the unit's performance matches or exceeds its monetary cost. As I've already hinted at, I've used far pricier units either given or prescribed specifically by my doctors, and I wouldn't recommend any of them over this unit. The unit is sturdy and well-constructed. The pads are large enough to cover just about any area that requires therapy, and they adhere wonderfully, without leaving any sticky residue. The strength of the current was the real surprise with this purchase, and I mean that in the best way possible. While the interface is a bit crowded, I'll hardly dock the product points for offering TOO many options. The intensity of the current has its own control, independent of whatever mode or program you select, and the current builds in very manageable increments. Even if you're new to TENS therapy, you won't find a 2 or 3 unpleasant, and even for someone who has used the devices intermittently for years, I found substantial relief around 12-15, still well below the device's maximum output. Using 4 pads at a time, you can cover a very large area, with absolutely no drop-off in current strength between wires and/or pads. Again, the singular criticism I can muster is that 24 modes seems like overkill, particularly given how similar some of the patterns tend to be. But in this instance, one man's criticism may be another man's praise, and they may enjoy the variety.

I read a couple of articles about what can help me to better combat my endometriosis. I read about TENS machines and after much research, settled on this brand. On my first day, I felt no pain, which is crazy because I'm usually crippled by pain. I use the reflexology 2 setting the most because it works best for my pain, but I'll explore the others at another time. I like that it is rechargeable and the battery has already lasted for 4 days with no recharge. I was able to attend a friend's party with it on and no one noticed because it's the size of a phone. As others have said before, you do have to cycle through every setting to get to the one you need, but I don't mind that much. I'm glad I purchased this unit.

So far so good. Came home with a sore back only to find my new TENS machine on the doorstep. After buying an analog version that I was not happy with I found this machine to be very high quality. It was very easy to use and after a few 20 min cycles on my mid back and lower back I can definitely say that I felt a noticeable improvement in the pain I was feeling before hand. The machine is smaller than an iPhone and just a touch thicker but very portable and easy to put in your pocket. The only thing I was disappointed in was the instruction mentioned a storage bag for the device and there was none in the box. But to the companies credit it was not advertised as having one on the page. I wrote the company and asked for a better explanation of the different setting and received a reply within hours and the company shared with me a much better description of the modes offered and their functions. I'll share bellow - Mode one starts contracting the muscles at low intensity and increases along on about a 5 second interval. Excellent therapy for reducing inflammation. Mode two starts contracting the muscles at a high intensity and stays at the same rhythm on about a 5 second interval, there is a 3 second pause between massage intervals. Excellent therapy after a workout to help your muscles recover. Mode 3 starts contracting the muscles at a high intensity then goes to low intensity in about a 3 second interval. This is a good therapy for kinks and knots in the body. Mode four starts contracting the muscles at low intensity and increases along on about a 5 second interval. Scraping massage benefits include anti inflammation Increase blood circulation and oxygen flow Increases surface microperfusion (surface circulation of blood)Quicker injury recovery Quicker recovery after a hard workout, cleans out the lactic acid that builds up in the muscles Breaks up cellulite and micro-toxins 5. There are four types of reflexology modes on our Plus 24 model. The first mode starts contracting the muscles at a high intensity gradually goes to a lower intensity in about a 10 second interval. There is about a 5 second pause in between the massage intervals. An excellent treatment for recovery of the muscles especially after injury. Physical Therapist use this method on patients around the world. The second mode starts contracting the muscles at a low intensity and increases quickly to a higher intensity in about a 5 second interval. There is a two second pause between massage intervals. Reflexology massage increases the flow of energy, increases the circulation and stimulates the digestive system. The third mode starts contracting the muscles at a low intensity then goes to a high intensity for a few seconds and comes back down to low intensity in about a 5 second interval. Can help with boosting metabolism. The fourth reflexology massage starts contracting at a low intensity and increases rapidly as it goes along on a 10 second interval. There is a 2 second pause in between the massage interval. This mode is excellent at relieving chronic muscle pain. Improved nerve activity and circulation, as well as the balanced functioning of the metabolism. The pain-relieving qualities of reflexology mean that patients recover rapidly. EMS can increase body temperature, heart rate and metabolism. In turn the effect can help promote energy and fat absorption from the body. 6 . There are four types of massage modes that mimic a Tai Chi massage. The first Tai chi mode starts with a constant pace then proceeds onto a higher intensity mode than the intensity will change again in the last 4 second of the massage. Some of the benefits from this mode are aerobic capacity and increased range of motion for your muscles. The second Tai chi mode is on a 10 second interval. Starts with a low intensity contraction of your muscles than moves to a more rapid mode mimics a tapping massage. This mode is an excellent treatment for improved flexibility and strength of your muscles as well as relieving muscle tension. The third Tai chi mode has two massage intervals. The first one runs about 6 seconds with a 4 second pause in between. Than the second interval runs about 12 seconds with a 5 second pause in between intervals. This mode is great for recovering from injuries. Very effective at toning the muscles after workouts. The fourth Tai chi mode has two massage intervals. The first one has a 10 second interval a 5 second pause in between. The second one has a 6 second mode with a 1 second interval. This mode is very effective for flexibility and strength of your muscles. Aids with digestion, stress and helps you relax. Great for the lower back , neck and shoulders. I would recommend this product for sure and have even suggested other friends and families get one. 1. There are 4 types of kneading massage modes on our Plus 24 model. All of the kneading modes have a very consistent massage on them. Nice and smooth on each one. Very relaxing on the shoulders for knots. Kneading massages help reduce the tension in your muscles and helps tone the muscle after and before workouts. The first mode is the strongest of the kneading and is very effective at reducing shoulder pain and tension. The second mode has a acupuncture feel to it and is very effective for toning muscles. The third one is at a constant pace and is very effective for the lower back as well as shoulders. The fourth mode is similar to the first just not as strong, also great at shoulder pain. Loosen tight muscles and increase blood flow to the massaged area. Results are often improved when muscles are already relaxed before the kneading massage 2. There are 4 types of Swedish massages on our Plus 24 model. The Swedish massage modes are great for kinks and knots as they surprise the muscles with rhythm changes in the massage. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension. The first mode starts with a slow pace and ends with high contraction towards the end on about a four second interval. The second mode starts with less rhythm changes and is more consistent. Highly recommended to treat muscle knots and kinks. It will also improve your blood and oxygen flow to the body. The third and fourth massage are the same massage. The difference is mode 4 pulsates at a quicker rate but they both give off the same sensation. Very effective at treating muscle kinks and knots. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension. 3. There are 4 types of cupping modes on our Plus 24 model. The difference between the first two models is the strength. The second one starts a slower pace and is lighter. Cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system (which makes it an excellent treatment for high blood pressure). Cupping is used to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, rheumatism, and even cellulite 4. There are four types of massages modes that mimic a scraping massage on our Plus 24 model.

This is a great unit, my wife said it is much like the ones she used in the hospital. There is a lot of options to choose from, I am not a techie but I was using the unit within a few minutes. With two leads & four pads the area of coverage is great. We highly recommend this product!

Well made, easy to use, as others have said. I want to comment on a feature that has become very useful and as far as I can tell, is not mentioned in the manual. The "T" button adjusts the time that the device will run. The manual states that if you long press the "T" button it will lock the screen, which it does. What they do not tell you is that the long press will also temporarily stop the device from transmitting power to the pads. Why is this important? Well, if you attach the pads to your body, turn it on and then try to position yourself comfortably, sometimes you will get an unpleasant "shock" or stimulation when you move around. If you just turn the device off to get in position, you will have to re-select the mode and intensity. You have to scroll through all the modes until you get to the one you want to use, which can be somewhat tiresome. If, however, you long press the "T" button, you will be able to get in position, then unlock the device, and it will start up where you had it set originally. This becomes a big deal after you shock yourself a few times. What I do is, turn down the power setting to about 1/2 or less of what I want, lock the screen, get in a comfortable position, unlock the screen, then bring the power back up to where I want it to be. I use the device on my lower back, so getting comfortable takes a little squirming around sometimes, which often leads to an uncomfortable surprise. Being able to pause it temporarily is a good thing. I have also begun to use the first mode, since that is where it starts out when turned on, plus I just like #4 on the first mode anyway. I don't have to click through a bunch of modes to get the one I want. This device has plenty of power. I've never been able to turn it up past about 1/3 full power before it becomes uncomfortable. If you handle the pads properly, they will last a long time. After use, I put a very small amount of rubbing alcohol on my finger and rub it around until it dries and the pad gets sticky. I wait a moment then do the same thing with water, smear it around until it begins to get sticky. I don't know if this is the recommended way to to it, but it works great for me.

I purchased the tens device after I had Googled for methods to relieve the nerve pan from shingles which I developed two months ago. I received the device and started using it. I found after several days, I could run it for about 20 minutes (you can set a timer on it) and I received complete pain relief for 2-3 hours and would then use it again. However, after a week, I tried to turn it on and it had black lines across the screen and would not turn on. There was a picture posted in one of the reviews that looked like mine. I submitted a return request with Amazon, printed the return label they sent. Then I read thru the reviews again. There were so many positive reviews I decided to contact the vendor directly to inquire about their experience with this defect. Having worked in financial management in manufacturing for 34 years, I know companies sometimes receive defective materials from their vendors or can even manufacture a bad batch themselves. I received a voice message and left my message (not really expecting to hear anything). That afternoon a gentleman phoned me, I described my problem. He asked me to cancel the return to Amazon and said he would send out a new device. I waited about cancelling the return, but received the new Tens device the next day. (I then cancelled the return.) I have been using this one daily for two weeks and have not had issues. I'm now thinking of ordering one for my mother. She has had permanent nerve damage from shingles for eight years and has never found anything to completely relieve the pain. I am very happy with my purchase and the customer service.

I recieved it today and for weeks I've been going to the chiropractor for a pinched nerve in my neck that has been hurting all the way into my upper arm. I've barely slept and no matter what between the doctor and meds I've barely found any solace from the pain. I've even purchased one of the cheaper TENS devices at the store with little luck so needless to say I had my trepidations buying this but all else failed so I might as well try. I've had it on for about 45 minutes and for the first time in WEEKS I can turn my head without excruciating pain! I've used it on my neck, shoulder and my upper arm and I've found relief! In addition to my current ailment I also had bulging disks in my lower back so I tried the "B" side on my lower back at a lower setting and it feels spectacular! I can certainly attest that it is so powerful that I can't even push it to max power and that's saying something. I'm absolutely in love with this device and for those of you suffering from chronic back/ neck pain i strongly advise you to get this device! You can choose from several massage types to find the one that best suits you, you can select the intensity, and the specific location on your body to relieve. The only thing you cannot do is set have "A" side and "B" side to different massages but you can select different intensities so I can have it higher on my neck and lower on my back and treat 2 areas simultaneously. One other very stupid but slight annoyance and completely correctable issue I've found is the set of pads that come with it are not as adhesive as I would prefer but you can EASILY purchase different pads, so do not let that deter you and it could just be my own preference. I'm sorry for the long review but I'm just so impressed with this I wanted to make sure I gave a full review highlighting what I had looked for in the device to help someone else more effectively find the solution you are looking for. In summation look no further this is what you need to get, you will not be let down. Now to get my first full night's rest in weeks.

First: The package made an excellent impression! Would be a great gift- everything is there in a nice presentation box suitable for re-use with magnetic closure. The unit appears to be of high quality (other references to the original iPhone are correct however this is not the touch screen version). Set-up is easy and quality of the pads, cabling, etc. Is just fine. This unit has in internal rechargeable battery with great longevity between charges. Instructions are very clear. There are 6 major categories of pulse waves with (4) four options for each giving a total of 24 selections. Also you have separate intensity adjustments for A and B channel however both must agree on mode selection. Example both my wife (osteoarthritis knee) and I (pinched disk issue nerve and shoulder pain) can treat together at different intensities (must be same wave mode) with no apparent interaction between channels vs. the assumption you would use both sets of pads (A-B) on one patient. The only constructive thing I would suggest is more info or directions to a knowledge resource- web site- explaining optimum pad placements and distance between them as well as background and general understanding of the Tens concept. Although some basic (non-Chinglish/well-written) instructions are included as well as a pressure point diagram, and single page examples of best practices, more educational info would be helpful. In summary this device is a great alternative to more expensive Chiropractic or Physical Therapy treatments- easily as effective- at a fraction of the cost, especially when weighing crazy deductibles, co-pays, out-of-pocket costs and the unfortunate stress of dealing with medical claims. My argument is the more self-sufficiency and self-advocacy the better because the health system is broken and not likely to be improved soon. Overall this is an impressive device and despite my embedded skepticism about homeopathic silliness a great option for which I expect we will get very helpful benefit. Very little investment and great potential for benefit! This unit was a good choice.

This thing Works, I am not sure about the reliablity or longevity of the machine because i felt sometimes it does not send electricity until i move the pads and tweek them a little (maybe 10% of the time) BUT i have a severe Spasm in my lower back / sciatia pain, and i cant even walk for about an entiree week (even after being injected kennalog and taking naproxen for about 6 days), until one night the miracle happens! I use this thing one night and just right the next morning i can walk like 70% better!! thats when this machine earn 5 stars for me. My wife later used succesfully for a shoulder/ neck pain.
