I have a large family photo wall in my game room. I wanted the photos to be the rockstar rather than an assortment of heavy frames. I would not believe how much room the frames take on the wall, as I have so many more photos featured now. These are plastic imitations of the very expensive wood box frames. They look great and fool everyone that I have spent thousands of dollars on gallery frames. They are easy to unassemble for photo insertion and the glass is real. So no worry about looking crazed and scratched in years to come. I bought most every size so you will see this same review in the other sizes.

I needed some inexpensive 5x7 frames with a minimal amount of framing. These did the trick. I did find the size of the frames to be slightly smaller than the prints I received. I did trim 8 of an inch off the images and everything was fine. One frame did arrived damaged a small piece of glass was broken. I contacted Amazon and they sent me an entire box of frames when all I needed was a single pane of glass. To insert the images you need to pop out the glass in the front of the frame which is very unusual. I don’t believe these frames would work with any type of matting. I wall mounted all of these images. If you’re looking for a desk frame I don’t think that the back of these frames is very attractive. Overall I am very satisfied with these frames.

Quality frames at a great price

I just got 10 of my favorite pictures made into 11x17 posters and was thrilled to find the 6 pack of frames here. They are the perfect compliment for posters. The thin black minimalistic edging of the frame highlights them perfectly. The frames themselves are excellent quality and so easy to use. The glass snaps out easily , insert poster and glass snaps back in flawlessly. With some frames I have used in the past the space for the picture wasn't exactly the size they stated. These are indeed 11x17 which made everything so simple. The glass is easy in regards to maintenance and to keep clean. I was very impressed with how these frames were packaged upon delivery. The 6 frames came in one box packaged very tightly and securely and that box came in a large box surrounded by bubble wrap and then filler paper used for the ultimate of protection. There was not a single chip or scratch to any of the 6 frames. This deal is amazing and I will certainly be buying more just to have extra on hand for the future. Believe me, for framing posters these frames are the perfect showcase. Highly recommend.

I ordered a set of six. These frames are simple, easy to use, and easy to hang. For the price, you can't beat them. Basic, simple, easy to use frames. Good price for a set of six. Of the first set of six, 3 had chipped glass. I returned those and was given a replacement set. I also purchased another set of six. Both the second and third sets had no problems with chipped glass. They were packed well with styrofoam. The first set came in a box within a box and had deflated plastic bag packing material between the boxes and also lacked styrofoam in the inner box. The second and third came properly packaged. Note that the description is incorrect. It mentions a piece that can be attached to the back in order to have the frame set on a table rather than hanging. None of the 18 frames came with that piece. I plan to use these frames only for hanging pictures so I don't need those pieces.

inexpensive frames perfect for a small job in a rental

These are not luxury, high-end frames: they're simple, plastic snap-ins. However, if you're decorating on a budget, they're the answer to your prayers. I needed 12 frames for a reading nook project, but there is absolutely nowhere in town to get an item like this without spending a lot of money, so these were perfect for my purposes. In no time at all, I had my pictures snapped in (no glass breaking, no plastic cracking) and the pictures ready to hang-- I did that whole part while sitting on the couch. They're very lightweight, so I just hung them with thumbtacks instead of nails; I'm a renter, so this was also a bonus for me. Even with the thumbtack-hanging job, they don't appear to be going anywhere, lie flat against the wall, and don't get crooked or uneven. The glass/plastic in the frame doesn't really glare (these are by a window), which is nice. Again, these are not for a high-end project in a prominent place, and they wouldn't look right alongside expensive frames. If you know your budget and what you're planning to do, then you'll know if the style is right for you. As for quality, I'm very happy.

Easy to use picture frame makes the photo the star

These picture frames were perfect for adding a wall of uniform looking pictures. I wanted a full wall of a "through the years" theme displaying all my kids' school pictures. These were perfect for display, making the picture the star and not the frame. After reading others' reviews I was a little concerned that the frames would be chipped or damaged in some way but I have used all of them and all were in perfect condition. Each frame comes wrapped in it's own protective plastic and can be used for wall hanging or setting on a shelf. They are front loading and easy to pop out, place your picture in and then pop back in. For those pictures that may have been trimmed a bit too small, the black cardboard that is in each frame hides that flaw well when place behind the photo. Exactly what I needed for all my con prints!

I ordered two sets of six of this size & six of the 9x12, shipped to Hawaii & all arrived intact! I was weary of pushing on the glass to get it out & then pushing it back in, but honestly it feels strong & is a very fast process! Every print I bought from my local con all fit perfectly, no trimming required. They look great on the wall, very narrow frame so the focus is on the artwork. Very easy to hang in either orientation, too. Perfect for the massive haul of signed prints from visiting comic conventions!

One thing I will note is that you have to pop the glass out of the front to put the photo in (rather than more standard frames which have you lift the back out and put the photo in), which can be a bit nerve-racking the first couple times. Other than that these are great frames especially if you are looking to hang a lot of photos but don't want or need to spend an excessive amount of money on fancy frames.

Great frames, great price

I love these frames. I got them to hang some prints in my home office, and I'll probably buy more. All of my frames arrived in perfect condition, and after watching the video it was easy to insert my pictures. I actually like that they're lightweight, I'm not worried about them pulling out of my rather thin walls. I also really like that the frame is thin, it doesn't distract from the artwork. You can't find a better price for 6 frames, and I'm very happy with my purchase. I'll be buying more frames from this company.

Easy to load | Lightweight | Great value

This review pertains to the "MCS 8x12 Inch Format Frame 6-Pack, Black (65638)" The 8x12s were shipped with a 14x22 2-pack from a separate order placed at the same time. Packaging ensured items were secure (no possible shifting during transport). All items arrived intact and within schedule (start of week as opposed to end of week). I luuuuuurve the front-loading feature of the 8x12s. It's a matter of "popping out" each of the four corners, inserting display item and popping the corners back in. Doesn't matter if display item is portrait or landscape, the frames may be hung or displayed on a flat surface either way. The frames are also lightweight and an initial test indicates no strain when using "Command Decorating Clips, Clear, 40-Clips (17026CLR-40ES)". Have not yet hung frames as yet, but am pleased I won't have to drill holes in wall. The design is simple (another reviewer described it as 'minimalist') *thumbup* and will not detract from the display item. The design, IMO will also facilitate better integration into whatever decor currently exists. I will definitely be ordering another set (not just because I have more items to display) but I think this brand will be my go-to for hard-to-get (an 8x12 is difficult to find at my current location and a single frame is close to the price of this 6-pack ) frames. Would recommend this product to others.
