Actually makes fried bacon like its cooked in a pan on the stove. Daughter is microwave bound for cooking... she needed something to offer healthier cooking than the per-cooked high salt bacon. This thing works!!! and she is ecstatic to be able to cook real bacon and it turns out great!

I was sent the more expensive version of this one by mistake but it works fine. The lid though is not as sealed as I'd like nor is it see though. That said it cooks bacon very well though figuring out the exact time to use has taken a while but it is well within the range that the booklet said.

Makes Fabulous Billionaire Bacon

Unlike some of the negative reviews, this Bacon Cooker actually washes easily in the dishwasher, the cover keeps the Microwave from splattering of the bacon grease and it makes super yummy Bacon in less than 5 minutes. As a low carb dieter bacon is one of the few indulgent pleasures that doesn't effect my diet. I even make Billionaire Bacon in the cooker with, brushed on "No Sugar" Maple Syrup, sprinkled crushed Red Peppers, and Black Pepper (plus a little seasoning salt if desired). Some of the cooking time concerns can be explained by how powerful your microwave is, (650-1300 watts) so adjust accordingly. In my case I directly followed the time recommendations (I have a 1000 Watt Microwave).

Easy to clean. Thick material. Once I figured out the amount of time to make the bacon just the way I want, it is a no brainer. Perfect for 1 or 2 people.

Better then i expected even, very suprised and happy.

Suprised the quality of this product looks very durable and seems like will last a long time, ive only used it a few times but the bacon has turned out perfect like best looking bacon ive cooked before, in all honesty im really shocked how good it turnes out way past my expectations to be honest.

Best Bacon Tray

I shopped a long time before deciding to try this one. I have had it over a month and use it almost daily. My main requirement was easy to THOROUGHLY clean. It is definitely easy to clean if not allowed to sit with the grease in the tray too long. I hand wash it. Grease will splatter outside of the tray on the vented sides but I just lay a paper towel over the top and that contains the splatter. Also, the tray is a little short for average bacon slices but I just fold the ends over a bit and the ends are just as crisp as the rest of the slice. It took me awhile to find the right setting on my microwave to get the bacon cooked just right, but I have it down to perfection every time now.

Super easy bacon cooker

I love this product. It makes cooking bacon super easy without the grease splattering everywhere. Also, it is super east to clean and catches all of the grease. The bacon doesn't even cook in the grease making it 'healthier'. This is a great product. The only problem with it is that it is a little small for full bacon pieces to be cooked up. Occasionally, I have to cut the bacon pieces in half so the lid can close properly.

AWESOME BACON COOKER

Bacon is a mess to fry and it takes a lot of time. With this cooker, it only takes 5 minutes to cook five pieces of THICK bacon. If you want to simplify your life, buy this item. By the way, my top fit perfectly (unlike other reviews I read) and if the grease does splatter a bit, it's very minimal. There is some venting on the sides, but those areas are very small and very little grease splatters. AWESOME!

Best way to make small amount of bacon

The Lekue Microwave Bacon Maker/Cooker with Lid is great. You can cook 6 slices of bacon in 5 or fewer minutes with no splatter (as you would have cooking on the stove) and in much less time (than you would have cooking on the stove or in the oven). This has a pour spout so it's easy to dispose of the grease. In addition, the bacon cooker is dishwasher safe so clean up is a breeze.

Eat More Bacon

This is GREAT. I have a new/different microwave and burned the bacon most everytime I tried in this new microwave. this cooker just worked great - followed the instructions on the cover used much less papertowels as I was covering the dish I was using before with papertowels. Use this lid and presto we have nice crispy bacon would highly recommend to all. Fast shipping dishwasher safe. very happy customer.
