Fantastic blender, wish it had a storage rack
I've never owned a hand/immersion blender before, but I'm really glad I purchased this one. I mostly really just make protein shakes/smoothies. I had been using a regular, upright oster blender for years, but I needed something quieter to avoid waking other family members. I also needed something that wouldn't miss any clumps that would stick along the walls of the container. This Oxa blender is almost perfect. The motor is pretty quiet while on the lowest 1-2 settings, and I can maneuver the blade attachment around the cup such that no clumps get left unblended. My only issue is that the blender attachment is too wide for my sports bottles (and even my wide-mouth nalgene) so I have to make the shake/smoothie in the plastic cup that is provided and not directly in the container from which the contents would be consumed. Also, I wish it came with some sort of storage/drying rack for all attachments/components so I wouldn't have to worry about storing the parts in different places around the kitchen and possibly misplacing a piece when it is needed. For now, I keep everything in the box in which it arrived.

6 Useful Power Settings! But Soup Makers, Read on...
I used this yesterday to make a tomato sauce. It turned out very good! My partner like a chunky sauce, so I just pulsed the tomatoes a few times, and it was a great consistency for him. I like my sauce really smooth though, so I turned up the power and blended mine into a liquid. There were no chunks of garlic or tomato left, the way I like it. :) This blender has an interesting feature - when you plug it in, the top glows blue. For me, it serves as a reminder that it's plugged in and to be extra careful with it. When you're cooking a meal and doing a million things, it's a useful reminder. But I did notice one limitation of this blender. The instruction manual says, "Do not blend hot liquids." Is that because splattering liquids are dangerous to me (because I'll risk it!), or will it damage the blender? It's a bummer because I wanted to use the immersion blender for making soup. The soup will take a lot longer to make if I have to wait for it to cool down before blending it. One last great thing about this blender is the 12 month warranty it comes with. I had an immersion blender from a different brand that broke after three months. I'm glad OXA believes in their product enough to offer a warranty!

Very convenient and useful
Using it regularly to chop onions, carrots, to beat eggs and whip cream and to make baby food. It’s very quick and efficient. Cleaning is easy too. Extremely satisfied with the purchase, highly recommend it.

Yes, another "must have" kitchen appliance.
It's holiday time again and I love to cook, but I also like to make everything very healthy, and I am not someone who likes to spend hours in the kitchen. Pureed three bananas in seconds with my new OXA Smart mixer and whipped in the other ingredients for paleo banana bread in about four minutes (all without having to try to scrape the mixture out of my blender or using my massive, heavy hand mixer). Then used the whisk attachment to whip together almond milk, MCT oil and some powdered coconut milk into a frothy coffee creamer. Everyone loved the results and seconds were demanded. Let's just say, I've used this every day since it came and I love it. Small enough to store in a drawer, so that it doesn't become one more appliance sitting on my counter top. Yes, this IS another "must have" gadget. My old hand mixer is almost new because I only used it once or twice. Someone shopping at Goodwill is going to love it.

Fantastic Kicthen Tool
I love this blender!! When ordering I was looking for an inexpensive tool to use for recipes in my instant pot. I needed a hand blender that I could use for recipes directly in my pot. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and figured a mid grade model would work fine for me. I was blown away when I received this item! It is definitely not mid grade! Right out of the box it looked fantastic. It is made well with high quality parts and is very sturdy. The locking lid on the chopper bowl works great and seals very well for a secure fit. When I began using this I mostly used the immersion feature to make different recipes in my instant pot. After realizing what a great kitchen tool it could be I started using it to make my morning smoothies and also for chopping. This blender cuts through ice and and fruit with no problem. I have used it for the past few mornings to make my breakfast smoothie and it has been so much easier than pulling out my big blender and having to clean it. I also used it to chop nuts for my chocolate chip cookies. The blades had no problem cutting through the nuts and gave me the perfect consistency I was looking for. Overall I think this is a great kitchen tool. It has many uses, works well, and is very easy to clean. I will be buying another for my sister and recommending to friends in my instant pot groups!

First let's get the cons out of the way then on go to why I give this high remarks and do recommend it over all the other stick blenders that I ...
OXA Powerful 4-in-1 Hand Blender, 300 W - Black Initial impression thus far, day 2. First let's get the cons out of the way then on go to why I give this high remarks and do recommend it over all the other stick blenders that I have looked into in the price range of under $50. (BTW, Amazon flipped the images sideways, I did not upload them like that. No image of the cup is included because it needs washing as I just used it.) I wasn't influenced by the thought of something free for this review rating of 5 stars I gave, which I almost gave 4 stars. But do know that this had a slip inside the box to entice people to leave a review (doesn't say it has to be positive) by offering you a free small gift (choice of 1 of 3 things) if you leave a review. I have no clue how well that will work out (leaving a good, average or bad review). I don't know if all boxes of this product come with that, which you can see in the photos I uploaded. Now, to get the first impression cons out of the way: • Accessories are like cheap bonuses more than add-on extras. The cup is very cheap made plastic (think like from a dollar store) and the same goes for the chopper. These seem fragile and so does the whisk which is flimsy, mine has a wobble (not sure if that is normal for an electric whisk) and I don't see the wires of it holding up for long but I haven't used it in something yet, only spun it around in the air. The chopper I have not used with food yet, only gave it a spin and don't expect much from it compared to a real food processor. The metal whisk plugs first into it's own housing before snapping into the motor. If you just want to wash the whisk, it's seems it will quickly strip & wear out the plastic inside hole of that housing. So that means not taking it apart from that housing to wash or risk having problems using it in the future after a few times of taking it off the metal whisk. • Attachments connected to the motor handle, even the blender stick, aren't solid as if it were one full piece, you can give them a slight wiggle once snapped onto the motor handle though nothing noticeable when in use. Not sure if that will make problems in the long run or not which leads me to my next thing. • Where these parts connect to the motor handle, the housing on the part, the plastic is fragile, cheap made. It's easy to see how at some point in time there is a good chance they will break and sooner in time if not very careful with handling and storing them. The reviewer that put photos of theirs broken into pieces is easy to see why when you notice that plastic's fragile quality. If that plastic holds out for at least 2 years of my usage, I will consider this still worth the money I paid. • You must keep a constant press the on buttons (low/high rubber buttons) to keep it spinning. They take a deep press to click on with one being recessed in a little while the other protrudes out a bit and that feels odd. There is no permanent on click once it's on, must keep the button pressed while using. Of course this is a pro as well as that can be useful if you are drilling up and down into something. Also a pro for other things like if you dropped it and to keep it from overheating because you just let it run longer than you should without breaks in running it. And you don't have to remember to turn it off when done though I don't recommend leaving it plugged in when finished for obvious reasons. This brings me into my initial impression of pros, at least that ones I can think of off the top of my head. • You can use the chopper before using the the stick blender to make some things easier and be more effective. Snap on the chopper to break the things up then blend it up with the stick. • This feels good to hold once you figure out the right way to hold it (my first time using one of these things). It has a nice weight but not too much, feels like a solid powerful motor and has operated so far as a powerful motor would. The lip at the top helps with the good feel and feels like it will help to keep this from slipping out of hand when held as you should though there aren't any indented grips for the fingers nor any grubber padding the grip.. • The blades are not very sharp but not dull either. Of course be careful but they are no where near that sharp where I see reason to be worried with washing if you are using common sense in the washing. This lack of being very sharp will work well I think as it will help to prevent nicks & tiny chips in the blade's edge that would ruin the blade's lifespan (unlike how a razor is only good for a few uses). And so far, the sharpness it is has worked fine though seem cheap & thin made so I won't try them on hard things. Time will tell how they hold out. • The motor, the part that's held, has not gotten hot in my uses. I can tell how it would easily if used unreasonably though. So far, mine has only gotten a little warm. The heat seems to come from the stick and slowly travel up to the motor, at least that is the impression I got so far.. • The thing just looks nice. I like how the top, where the speed dial, it lights up to a nice looking blue. • The dial on top can be a pro or con, depending what you prefer and how you think about it. I say this because it does just turn smoothly, it takes a little effort turn and it's in clicks, not like a smooth dial absent of clicks that you may have an impression of that doing by looking at photos Will the parts that make it turn in clicks inside break from cheap plastic in there too? I don't know but it does ensure the number you select doesn't get accidentally changed. It also may take a little less effort, in time, once used more and becomes more broken in so to speak. • The cord is long. I was worried it would be a short cord. It's not excessively long but I would say it's close to 4 foot, taking a guess. • While you want to be careful putting this in a something to blend that you don't the container scratched, that very same aspect is a feature in some ways. The bell around the blades aren't sharp per se but they are not something you want touch something easily scratched. Because those edges have some cutting ability due to the somewhat sharpness, you can really dig into things with this like I have done with some melons. Pushing down into over sized chunks is made easier because this. Same is true is if there's slits made on the food and you run the edge of this over the slit and cut on down as it blends. • Those edges helped make a delicious watermelon smoothie inside the melon itself which I mixed in some cranberry juice & a splash of lime while doing this and wow, that tasted great. I did not have to cut up the melon's insides, it cut right through the insides on it's own and it had song long white stringy fibers inside the watermelon that gave this device zero problems. That would have made for an excellent mixed drink too if a bit of your favorite alcohol was added in. The same is true for a honeydew melon though I put slits all over inside of it first and added nothing to it. I drank straight from the melon and that was the best tasting smoothie I ever had. It brought out the flavor in that thing quite strongly. • Even though the cup is cheap, it works really well with this device. Unlike the melons, in the cup it kept wanting to suck down into the cup. It seemed to work better and faster in the cup too. • While the chopper is a cheap made add-on, I would rather them skimp on what you are not really buying this for instead of charging more money or skimping on say the motor. The corners cut to get this to a cheap price were good choices. • The chopper is smaller, much more light in weight than my food processor. Also easier to clean and less hassle to set up. Many times I just do things by hand because I don't want the trouble of my main food processor for the little thing I am needing. This will do good, so it seems, in those areas. Say like chopping garlic or onions for example. It's like a fat little cup with a blade inside. • If all orders of this come with the free gift for a review slip (to entice people to comment on it here) and it's no hassle in how that works out and that goes for any star rating, that will be a pro too. If they are true to their word on line 5 on that slip, that's a pro too. The line that says "if there is anything wrong at all, definitely let me know so that I can fix it for you fast and make this the best possible experience for you!" which is followed by a Hotmail email address. The gift choices are: hand held/manual garlic press, small digital kitchen scale for weighing food ingredients/amounts, or kitchen shears & jar opener. • I have not found a handheld stick blender that I think would be better for the price in all my searches and reading. • Motor on this thing seems powerful and hasn't slowed down when grinding down into the foods it's blending, even on the lowest setting.

Nicely designed with accessories that make it especially versitile
We live on our sailboat, following our 6 year circumnavigation, and space is a critical issue for us. So we think long and hard about adding any piece of new galley gear that will require easily accessible storage space. Our galley is not full of drawers where we can house our poorly thought out purchasing decisions. The purchase of a hand blender is something that we thought too long about and now that we have this tool we are sure we waited much too long to make this purchase. Its performance out of the box is really impressive and its thoughtful design means is it is not a single use device. When it arrived I was making mashed potatoes for dinner so it got a trial run almost as soon as it was out of the box. It performed very well, especially compared to manual potato masher we had been using for years. But the best part of using the hand blender to mash the potatoes is how easy it was to clean compared with the manual masher. This fact alone justified the purchase and the chore finding the space to stow it. I "shopped" these devices at one of our local supermarkets, that also sells housewares, and finished my shopping process by reading reviews on Amazon. The OXA hand blender impressed me as a well designed and constructed device with an excellent selection of accessories that allow it to perform many tasks in our galley. It is an excellent value for the price. Many of the models I looked at while shopping were not nearly as well thought out in terms of mechanical design and accessories that make it useful for a lot of different jobs. About the only way I think it could be improved is if they could design an accessory that could grate raw veggies. That is the only reason Im hanging onto our food processor.

Compact durable design
I love gadgets and have a lot of kitchen gadgets and machines. Because of that, I have a ton of different machines to chop, blend, and mix. Those machines take up a lot of room are a pain to store. I love that this multi function set allows me to have multiple tools with just one set. It also allows me to do a small job without taking the big equipment out of storage. The set has a handheld “motor” that drives all of the accessories. I was impressed with how sturdy and heavy duty the handheld motor was. The handheld part controls the whisk, mini chopper, and hand blender and the attachments just snap on to the handle with a push button release. There is a light up dial that has 6 different speed settings. To operate, you must continually push down the rubber enclosed power button. There is also a “turbo” button that gives it an extra burst of power as needed without having to turn the dial. The set includes a large tumbler to use the hand mixer with and the food chopper base. I am so excited to use the food processor part to dice onions while cooking. We made milkshakes and they blended up very nicely with the mixer. Not sure that I will ever need an electric whisk, but I am willing to give it a try next time I whip up some merinque. I will be keeping the box to store everything in so that it stays together and doesn’t take up much space.

A powerful hand blender with additional accessories
Good price for quality product. I had been blending my pureed soups from the instant pot with a standard blender and it became such a pain to transfer the hot soup from the pot to the blender each time, so this was an excellent investment. Now I can easily connect the hand blender and blend the soup right in the pot to a smooth puree consistency! Even though that was my whole purpose for purchasing this item, over the last 2 months I've had reasons to use each one of the items in the set. The cup is easy for single serving smoothie with easier clean up than the standard blender. It went through frozen fruits easily and had some difficulty with dates, but the hand blending option makes it easier to get at the pieces than a standard blender. The food chopper is a small size but useful for quick blending. Unfortunately there are no settings or different blades so the food chopper makes everything the same size no matter what setting or what length you blend it at. I was able to make a great cheesecake crust consistency by blending cookies and nuts together. The whisk is good for quick mix but dry ingredients do get all over the place so it's not my first choice for baking. I'm rating this based on its function as an immersion blender itself because it was worth it for me to buy it for that purpose. The motor is powerful and it is easy to use. Other items in the set are added bonus. I like multipurpose kitchen gadgets and like that these items are small and compact for my small family. I expect if you have more mouths to feed the small smoothie cup and the small food chopper might be useless.
