Transform your experience (no, really!)
I purchased these as part of the kickstarter and must say that they lived up to the hype and promises. But first let me break down the purchase and experience. Firstly, if you are a whiskey drinker (and an American) you've likely learned to hate the standard bell shaped Glencairn-style glass that hits your nose awkwardly when drinking. And being an American, you also were probably raised on the heavy, thick tumbler that accommodates ice more easily. So to that, this glass may feel light in the hand and delicate, but that's all part of the craftsmanship. In essence. this is a handblown bell shaped glass suspended inside a more tumbler shaped glass. This means you can hold it like you would a tumbler, but the heat of your hand won't affect the whiskey. Inside the bell shape is a star shaped (for lack of better word) indent in the bottom of the glass. When you pour the whiskey into the glass, it reflects all around those edges and the rim like bits of gold. A really lovely effect! Technically, the ridges inside are designed to better allow the whiskey to mix when you swirl it, releasing aroma. Now honestly I bought these because they are lovely, I like to support small business owners making cool new things, and for a 'fancy' drinking glass it was reasonably priced. But of course, when we unwrapped the gorgeous packaging (black tube that looks like you are opening a nice bottle of scotch) we HAD to do the fun nerdy taste test. The result was surprising to say the least. Our cheapass whiskey tasted much much smoother, and our good stuff just opened up. Not joking. We all were nerding out posting pics. So added benefit - became a party game! LOL Liked them so much I've bought extras as gifts. Because they are blown glass they are delicate (though i haven't had one chip or crack yet) so hand wash only. And to some they may feel light (if you are used to heavy tumblers). If you like a giant ball of ice, this isn't the glass for you. This is for drinking and really tasting whiskey (neat or an ice cube if called for). On a side note, though not at all the intent of the makers, ....it makes a great wine glass too, especially for Reds (that swirling opens them up nicely too!). So rather than having those less than attractive Glencairn glasses taking up my precious little cabinet space, this glass is doing some double duty and making the experience better all around. Hope that helps. Love to support the little guys making great things and love when beautiful design makes for a transformative experience. :D

Great Whiskey glasses
My husband says these are great for his Scotch, with the double wall keeping the Scotch at the right temperature. The glasses themselves are actually quite pretty. You do have to hand wash them, so if you want something to put in the dishwasher, these aren't it. But if you are a Whiskey or Scotch drinker (or have one you want to give a wonderful gift), you will enjoy these.

Phenomenal taste difference! Worth every penny!
SO AMAZING! I thought these were a gimmick, but my friends and I were all blown away by the difference in taste. They mitigate the alcoholic punch and leave behind the pure essence of the whiskey! Absolutely everything they claim to be. The craftsmanship is top-notch. Plus they look fantastic. A must have for those who enjoy the finer things.

My favorite whiskey glass
I have several dozen whiskey glasses of various shapes and sizes. This one is my favorite by far. It concentrates the whiskey's bouquet just at the lip... it's a pleasure to swish the liquid around and enjoy it's colors... and it has just the right heft to accompany a pipe in one hand and the whiskey in the other. Sit in your easy chair with this in your hand and the sense that all is alright with the world is not far away.

No better than this
My husband prefers the finer things in life and he loves these glasses. They really do enhance the drinking experience and contribute to an even smoother sip. They are a thin glass and I wish they had foam in the canister to protect them but we did move across the country and these survived in the original package unscathed. We’re big fans.

Best Bourbon Glass
I honestly won’t drink a glass of bourbon if it’s not in these. Okay, I’m kidding but at my house, these things get washed all the time. If they are clean, I use these. Best glasses on the market. With that said, they are fragile as f—can be. Seriously, if you feel it dropping, it’ll break. I’ve bought 3 sets over the past year due to my clumsiness, but, if you want the best bourbon glass around, this is it.

Good father's day present
My dad absolutely loves these glasses. If nothing else, the cool design is fun to show off to your friends but he feels special drinking out of these. He has never been a fan of the crystal glasses because they were so heavy, but these are so light! My mom is actually afraid to wash these because she knows how special they are to my dad and doesn't want to break them. They haven't broke so far, and my dad has a little scotch often or brings them out to show others. He loves it!

Great product, better customer service!
Great glasses, with even better customer service. My glasses arrived with a few scratches from the factory, and Norlan had two replacement glasses in the mail within 24 hours of my email/pictures. Aside from the customer service aspect, these are quite unique. They provide a better experience if you like to drink whiskey neat. The ethanol isn't as concentrated and allows more of the true bouquet of the whiskey to come through. Finally, in contrast to the Glencairn glass, these feel better in the hand. It's feels like a traditional glass (albeit without the weight...seriously...these things are light).

Tames the raw alcohol nose
My whiskey taste may be juvenile, but i only drink neat. I previously used a Glencairne glass and my first impression of this are as follows: a)the baffling cuts down on the alcohol notes. I don't get overwhelmed after that first sniff and still have my senses to taste what's below the surface, giving more character to everything i'm drinking b) the glass does have more heft (weight) than the glencairne glasses i own. It may be lighter than a highball, but it doesn't feel cheap. I believe it is a true glass exterior and a plastic interior. The baffling is almost invisible in a side profile. I enjoy drinking out of it, an i hope to accumulate more novel glasses in the future
