Despite arriving on a hot day, my mat came out normal as opposed to some reviewers'. After years of dripping paint and glue on my desk, finally I've decided to buy a hobby mat and I quite like this one. I've also tested the "self-healing" effect and it works to certain extend. If I have to nitpick then the printed text on the mat is not as crisp as I thought but this is hardly a concern personally. Overall I like this mat and would recommend it. This is my first mat so I don't know how it is comparable to cheaper mats.

This little mat is so cute and does exactly what is supposed to do. I use it to cut and glue things on when assembling my crafts and after i just wipe it down and it's back to how it looked the day it arrived. I love that is has a different color on each side and how thick it is even has a ruler for measuring . The price is good and shipping was prompt. I ordered the (9X12) due to my budget right now but it's still gets the job done. I hope to order a larger one soon.

approx 8 x11 ...heavy wgt... .. i have used it twice for cutting card stock paper, worked perfect. ... had detailed storing and cleaning instructions included....directions state to store laying flat ...stated 5 ply and that is correct, nice and sturdy... so far very pleased

I love that this is reversible, (Both pretty colours) Measurements in inches on one side, centimeters on the other, and it works really really well. I keep cutting things on it, and there is no sign of a scratch or a cut . An essential item always on my craft desk.

If you do a lot of cutting like me you definitely need one of these. Huge upgrade from cardboard! You can't even tell it's been cut on. It really is amazing how smoothe the leather cuts when you use this!

I build props for cosplay, wood toys ect.. It gets very heavy use from cutting blades. My last one lasted for almost 4 years. It will self heal most cuts unless super deep and even then it healed up enough, at least for me. Its the most used thing/tool in my work shop. One note though. In winter my shop can get below or close to below freezing. If it gets cold it will not heal up as it should. Room temp is no problem at all of course

Cutting fabric just got easier for me. I was use to using an 18 x 24 inch mat, which took some juggling to move fabric in place in order to cut it using a rotary cutter. Somedays I thought using a pair of good shears would be faster than moving fabric with pattern pieces pinned to it. This size works great for my needs, it stays in place on the table, the ruled edges are a plus . I would get the next size up if I had a place to store it. That is how much I like this mat.

I finally bought a cutting mat when I wanted to ensure the squareness and evenness when sewing curtains and cushions. I wished iAd bought one years before! I used a rolling fabric cutter on the fabric on the mat for perfect lines. Though the cutter hit through the fabric to the mat, there were no signs of cutting the mat. The self healing feature actually worked. Price was also fair in comparison to similar products I researched. I would recommend this. My curtains and cushions came out great!

A must have for any serious sewing person. It's NOT two mats, its one reversible mat with metric and imperial readings. It does not dull my rotary cutter, great product.

Hi all, These things are great. With a minimum of care they last for years. When using the mat, I can concentrate on what Im doing, and not have to be concerned about the work table it's self. The grid lines are handy. Tend to use the 'rulers' silk screened onto the front fairly often. Many thanks Mike
